Just like we need physical checkups, so do our little furry children. Preventing disease or catching it in its early stages is far better for our pets, and less expensive, than treating it once it has had time to progress to a severe stage. Yearly exams will save you and your pet from unnecessary suffering and financial burdens.
Assuming our pets will live into their early teens these exams can be vital, as a year is a long time in their lives. In dogs and cats gum disease is very common, and can be incredibly dangerous. Left untreated, it can lead to major problems like heart disease, liver problems, and kidney failure, and issues like irritated gums and tooth loss.

They are so awesome! Thank you Dr. Jaffe for fitting Kitten in today. Due to my new job I have been unable to get her in during the week for her sinus infection. They took such great care of her giving her the medicine she needs to get better. Also trimmed her nails despite how busy they were today! Thanks again everyone!

I don't know how to give more then 5 stars. One of our cats had an issue with keeping food down and we called on Friday and they were able to squeeze us in. Got some meds to our cat and the next day we brought the cat back to just make sure all is good. Again squeezed us in at the last minute. Service, caring, value, 10 out of 10!!!!!

We've been patients of Federal Animal Hospital for about a year and have always received excellent care and service for our dogs at very reasonable prices.
Recently, we were faced with the difficult decision of helping one of our dogs cross the rainbow bridge.
I cannot put into words the depth of compassion and empathy shown by the vet and tech. If you are faced with having to make this same difficult decision, you can trust that you and your pet will be treated with love, and empathy.
Dr. Cohen, I will be forever grateful for your safe space to say goodbye one last time to Buddy. Thank

I have been taking my dogs to Federal Animal Hospital ever since I moved to Hobe Sound eight years ago. You will NEVER find another vet, along with the staff, with more compassion anyplace. I’ve had pets my… whole life, but no vet will ever compare to Federal. I just recently lost my baby girl, Poogie, last week. We all know how brutal and heartbreaking it is to loose your babies. Dr. Jaffe and her tech, helped ease the pain for me. I was crying uncontrollably, but having them there was such a comfort to me. Then I get a sympathy card in the mail with the staff, Dr. Cohen and Dr. Jaffe

Have had excellent interactions with both doctors and all of the staff. Highly trained and compassionate. Pleasant. They take the time to know your baby. I don’t feel they are overly pricey. Have an upcoming surgery for our big boy in a few weeks and I feel confident they will take good care of him. Highly recommend!

I want to thank Federal Animal hospital, for saving my dogs life. He had a very deep nasty wound. That the first vet was not able to stitch close. But that didn't stop Doctor Jaffe. She was amazing and was able to save my Oats and stitch his wound closed so he can start his long road of recovery. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication to animals, you will always have our support. The LeClair Family.

My grandmother was visiting from out of state with her chihuahua, who had suffered a major spinal injury a while back. He had recovered from paralysis in his back legs and was finally walking again. It was a miracle...
A few days ago, he re-injured himself. He was in so much pain that he was shaking like a leaf and vomiting constantly, not retaining any fluids. He became severely dehydrated and was also experiencing incontinence.
The staff was annoyed with us when we showed up without calling ahead. The vet gave him a cortisol shot and sent him home with anti-nausea medication.
He should

I can not rave about this vet enough. They've saved both of my dogs lives- multiple times. They truly care about the lives of the pets. Some of the employees will come out just to greet my dogs, Lucy and Archie, when they come in just because they care and love them so much. In the first week I adopted my dog Lucy, she had pneumonia. She spent the first weeks of her life at this vet, struggling to survive with a oxygen tank always attached to her so she could breathe. She actually died during this week for a few seconds, but this vet was able to to being her back to life. They also were able

I would not recommend this place the staff are rude and not compassionate ,. while in waiting for an appointment I heard them taking calls and laughing about peoples concerns about the pet the were calling about. .That was my first red flag. after that several problems arose a misdiagnosed ailment among other unprofessional acts I can only say from my stand point I would stay away from this place and all the unprofessionalism.

If anyone is looking for a vet in the Stuart area, I highly recommend Federal Animal Hospital. Every time we had to bring our dog there, we were seen quickly and they were very knowledgeable. Unfortunately we had to put our sweet baby to sleep last week, and even though they were fully booked, they squeezed us in as they understood that once you make that hard decision, you want to do it right away. Not only were they super compassionate throughout the process, they also just sent us a condolence card...which every member of their staff not just signed but actually wrote a personal message
