The Iron horse is great place to stay in Milwaukee, and the bar is a great place to hang out, but the Ash restaurant was not worth the price to say the least. It does not feel like an upscale restaurant, and some of the best food was the potatoes and greens, which is not a good look when you are paying almost $40 for skirt stake. I think having a restaurant at this hotel is a great idea, but making it a nice family bar and grill is the way to go, You are going to cater to more clientele, and can improve the quality of the food at a lower price point, thanks.

No quite sure what to say other than the phrase, “Been there, done that.” Definitely no need to go back. Not my choice, but my daughters to order the grilled bread cheese. I would say awful but the preserve was decent. The bakery who provided the bread was good. The porterhouse would be just the same at a chain restaurant like Outback, well below par. The grilled potato confit was a dried out potato wedge at best. Thankfully, the dill added some flavor. The bread pudding was ok but wasn’t overwhelming. Sadly, it was the best part of the dinner. It would have been nice if the hostess was warm

Just ate there last evening. Extremely overpriced. When you order the $30 scallops you get 3 medium sized scallops on a plate. Nothing else. The $58 prime rib was half fat and not even a big piece. The grilled Octopus appetizer was one overcooked piece.
Seating was terrible. Our table for 2 was so close to the next table for 2 it was almost a table for 4. The couple was having a loud conversation about an annoying friend of theirs so pretty much couldnt enjoy the sparse dinner we had.
Extremely underwhelmed. Spent $250 with tip and left hungry.
Absolutely would not recommend.

Had a terrible experience at the Iron Horse. Reserved (4) rooms 7-months in advance to coincide with a WI golf trip that were booked at a premium price. Went to check-in on a late Saturday afternoon and none of the rooms were available and provided with no expectation on when a room would be available. After 45 minutes of waiting and discussing,… one of the four rooms was available. Moments after getting into the room another random couple walked into the room after being assigned the same room. After returning to the rooms later that evening after dinner, none of the room keys worked for

We love the dog friendly patio. The ambiance and decor are fantastic. In addition, the quality of service and food does not suffer simply because we are on a patio. We always enjoy our time in the Yard and so do our pups. The servers are always attentive & even cater to our pups a bit by bring iced water bowls and special treats.

The host was wonderful and helpful. Our server was pleasant; she did not however ask us how our food was once while we were there, and she forgot to put a side in, and then did not offer to add it when we asked about it. The food was good, but nothing to rave about. There was another server working wearing her mask around her chin talking to guests and coworkers, so that was disappointing. We may try again once the menu expands. Open Table's menu has not been updated with what is currently offered.

Fair at best. Went for Valentine's day brunch. There were serving the same brunch menu that we had in the middle of July. My entree was just luke warm, my wife ordered chicken and waffles alot of waffle maybe something that looked like one chicken nugget. Our server just did not have her act together. Did not get the drink order right, never checked on us, never refilled coffee. Forgot most of the little things. Based on this experience most likely will not go back anytime soon.

After having an awful brunch experience at Cafe Benelux yesterday, Ash MKE came through and has cemented itself as one of the most eclectic and exquisite brunch experiences I have ever experienced. A wonderful drink menu, along with some of the most delicious foods I have ever eaten. The patio is absolutely beautiful as well. 10/10

I love the concept. The food is delicious, the service is amazing the whole ambiance is very friendly. I had the mushroom salad and for proteins the head on shrimp. They grill it right in front of you. It was very delicious, couldn’t finish it as it’s a very generous portion. Highly recommend it for date or business dinner or with friends or just like I did, went alone :)

Second place in my life that I see so much fat on the meat. The ambience and service are excellent, but the meat for the price is terrible. The pictures they show don’t correspond to the reality, 75% of the meat I ordered was just fat and bone. I called the waitress and she said that our meat was the standard.

Had an amazing dining experience in ASH for the soft opening. So many great options on the cocktail menu, I wanted to try them all! Shared many plates amongst friends and loved every bite! The service was fabulous, I was cozy by the fire, and it was fun watching the Chef's do their thing! Creative dinner menu, with simple but super tasty desserts as well!
