Normally I would give a five star review because we love this hotel. In November we had no hot water, but that was the City of Milwaukees fault. This time our room needed some TLC. Carpet was torn, fabric chair was stained and the mattress was broken. I was hoping the Pfister would’ve asked how my stay was so I could send pictures of our room.

Really disappointing stay. The lobby is beautiful and the art in residence is very cool.
Here were the discounting things:
We stopped for drinks at the lobby bar and had to listen to the bartender complain about her manager and how she thinks she’s getting fired.
Our room was sub par. I know it’s old, but doors leading to nowhere and blocked off windows, stained carpet and “mildewy” shower are bad attempts to fix problems.
The pool looks like it hasn’t been cleaned in years. I didn’t want to get in.
Our room service trays sat outside for over 7 hours. Others had piled their plates

The Pfister hotel, Milwaukee's crown jewel with a 4 Diamond rating, showed off in all of her historical glory. Despite the Christmas holiday, every single staff member, from the valets, to the bellmen, to the front desk, housekeeping and food and beverage smiled and anticipated our every need.
Admittedly, I was skeptical. The hotel industry had taken a beating thanks to COVID and I was worried that this grand dame would be dated, tired and the staff the same.
But I couldn't have been more wrong.

This hotel is the most beautiful place I have ever stayed. The lobby and public areas are incredible; marble and gold leaf at every turn, gorgeous ceilings, and the artwork! You could wander for days and still not see everything. It is opulent without being over the top or distasteful. Our room was in the older/orginal part of the hotel on the fifth floor and it was clean and comfortable. We chose the Taste of Milwaukee welcome package and were delighted with a selection of cold local beers and delicious snacks. The only potential downside of this part of the building may be that you're two floors

Went there for our 50th wedding anniversary with a $350 gift certificate. Opted for a upgraded room for $550. Received an email stating I could have an upgrade for $520. Wow, I thought, this one is less expensive than the first one, so I thought, no brainer. Go for it. Got there and discovered our upgraded room was on the 2nd floor. I didn't want to be on the second floor and asked if they had anything on the upper floors. Manager said he had a suite that he could break apart and after many minutes of pushing buttons and himming and hawing said he could do it for $750. I thought, what

I have not stayed at the Pfister as I am local, but always enjoy their Cafe. One of my favorite breakfast places! We also enjoy their lobby for a cocktail. Beautiful! The other day I wanted to buy give a gift card for a friend. The concierge explained It was all online. The presentation of the gift card was important to me and wanted to give a printout of what they could use it for as there are many Marcus companies. It wasn’t going to happen. Call me old fashion, but it seemed rather impersonal to send an email to someone as a special gift. What was even more disappointing to me was the concierge

Stayed here for the ambiance and pet friendliness and would love to come back for the friendly staff. We enjoyed our room in the original hotel, the lounge in the lobby, and the grill for dinner. We walked up to the 27th floor with the puppies, did not get to enjoy the Blu, however staff showed us the pool and enjoyed the view for a few minutes. Happy hour at the grill was great with live music and great hh! The tuna was our favorite and I liked the sweet/spicy margarita pizza for apps. Our room was very comfortable. Above everything we loved the friendliness of all the staff and we saw many

Although we have yet to reserve a room here, my boyfriend and I enjoy winding down after a long week at work in the lobby lounge. Here, we look forward to the best Long Island ice teas in town and of course, the wonderful Ellie. She has been a server here for 40 years and deserves every bit of recognition. Her charm and hospitality is what keeps us coming back. Not to mention, the awesome atmosphere and live music. Ellie is the best part!!!

Had my wedding reception at the Pfister Imperial Ballroom in July 2021. The entire Pfister team was amazing. From start to finish we were satisfied with our service. Bailey made booking the event really easy and our coordinator Matt was super helpful and went out of his way to make the event be fantastic. He himself went out and bought specific items to make special drinks for the big day. We had to push our wedding back due to COVID and the Pfister team made everything go smoothly. The wedding food was all amazing you could not go wrong with any item you choose for the wedding and it is all made

Remember to use ʜᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ .ᴄᴏᴍ when booking your resort. This web site will compare thousands of booking web sites and normally will have rooms a lot cheaper compared to others! You're welcome :)! This place is the best rated in the area. I've been staying here for a long time. If you stay for a few days you definitely won't regret it.
Beautiful hotel. The rooftop Blue bar is fabulous. Attended an event in a beautiful room on the ground floor. Excellent service. Top notch all the way around.

Was not impressed. For being as expensive and "fancy" as it is supposed to be, our room was not clean. The lamp shade was stained, so was the bed skirt. And it appeared as though the sheets had some staining as well. I got a king bedroom that was wheelchair accessible. While the shower/tub combo did have grab bars in it, there was no shower bench provided. And the bathroom was a little tight for a wheelchair to turn around.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is beautiful and feels like a renaissance dream. We picked this hotel because it was rated one of the top in Milwaukee and of course the indoor pool was a huge perk. The hotel bar and restaurant was seriously great. The staff is super professional and kind as well as other guests we made friends with. Great location and easily walkable to the Public Market. We paid the daily parking garage fee which made life easy avoiding MKE parking tickets. Truthfully, our only complaint, which is definitely a funny but serious one, is the toilet paper quality. It was the

Everything about this hotel oozes class and elegance. I am a huge fan of the gorgeous marble bathrooms with large stand up showers complete with rain shower and handheld. They have great smelling spalike amenities to use in the decadent shower. I am a personal fan of the shaving bar in the shower! The beds are Very comfy and are complete with thick comforters. There is a very art deco vibe in the hotel. The rooms have big windows so you can easily see across downtown Milwaukee. It's in a great location so it's only about a 10 minute walk to the public market.

Great check in service and lobby. I enjoyed the upscale feel in a small city. Our room was pretty small though, a size similar to what you'd expect to have in Manhattan, NY. The room was a bit dusty (literally) and caused my allergies to flare up. I didn't particularly care for the old charm look especially since it came with some old dust as well.
The highlight of staying at this boutique hotel was that valet parking was cheap and we were able to ride the elevator up to The Blu Lounge that's on top of the hotel. On the night we went, there was a girl singing cover music and vibing

We earned a free night at the Pfister, so we took advantage of a romantic weekend in Milwaukee (a/k/a eat crap food all weekend and relax). This hotel is a class act!
First off, the hotel is absolutely beautiful. There's an old world historical feel to it. I can only imagine how beautiful this place is during Christmas. They certainly have one of the fanciest Starbucks in this hotel that I've ever seen.
We parked in the hotel garage, which I believe was $29/night. I figured it would be about that much. It wasn't too crowded when we first got there, but it filled

This hotel is and always will be near and dear to my heart. Having been a guest and patron for over 35 years, I must say this hotel and staff are second to none. Breakfast at the café brought back that specialness feeling included caring customer service and top-notch food and beverages. Unfortunately due to Covid, café rouge is not yet open for brunch. I cannot wait for the real reopening!

Fancy. Well, except for the tiny pool.
Stayed here one night after a Cubs/Brewers game. It was only one night and it was ok.
The view is great.
Thinking about staying again when we go to Milwaukee for our weekend getaway. It's decent and in the center of everything. We didn't park on site. We used Spot-hero to find cheaper parking alternative.
We enjoyed drinks at the Blu. Fancy.
Only downside is the elevators take forever. It's an old building, historic really and thus understandable.

Packed with history; this 100 year stalwart screams 'old-money.' From the soaring painted lobby celings, to the views of Lake Michigan - I enjoyed it immensely.
Bathrooms are smallish but elegant, bedrooms are tadtefully appointed, and the king size beds are very comfortable. The views from the upper floors, (including the bar and pool areas), is worth the stay.
Highly recommended.

This review is for the bar/restaurant on the 23rd floor. Thoroughly enjoyed it when I went last Saturday night.
It has a very cozy and upscale yet unpretentious atmosphere. Really gorgeous and carefully thought out interior design- lights dim enough to get an intimate feeling and so you can see the city outside but gently lit with soft lighting so you're not stumbling or using your phone light to look things on the table.
They had a jazz band playing the night I went and it was the perfect touch. The drinks are fairly priced in my opinion, the staff is friendly and not pushy, and the views

Aside from the airport, The Pfister Hotel was my first impression of Milwaukee.
And, what a wonderful first impression it was.
Beautifully ornate, wonderfully historic, The Pfister is gem in the crown of downtown Milwaukee.
The rooms are large and beautifully appointed. They've done well at updating, while keeping true to history of the hotel (built in 1893). The rooms are luxuriously comfortable. I slept like a dream.
Most recently, I stopped in for cocktails and light bites in their lobby bar. They make wonderful classic cocktails. I ordered their New Old Fashioned, which is their
