PROS: really quaint well furnished, kept up and decorated. Bar downstairs open late. Beds are very comfortable. You actually can modify the room temperature on demand, and the thermostat actually mean something and it's not just there for decoration..
Parking is super expensive , although in that area there's minimal options. Valet workers themselves are very hard working and wonderful , although the mechanics of the service could use improvement. For example on checkout they just tell you to bring your ticket down because it's a "high call time." Yea, that's why we

Pre-Covid pricing, post-covid service. I went on business with 5 colleagues. Each of our rooms had issues. Cleanliness is an issue. Hair on the floor, very poor room cleaning between nights, giant rust chips missing from the tub. The venue is gorgeous and the rooms are stunning. The upkeep is atrocious given the pricing. If this were a best western, I'd give 5 stars. For the price, the level of service here is beyond embarrassing. The shampoos and soaps are quality and worth stealing, but the room service will only leave you random assortments of conditioners with no soap or shampoos. The

Five star experience from check in to check out. My boyfriend and I stayed here for a night while visiting some friends in San Antonio and could not have been happier with our stay. I've stayed once before but this was his first time and I guarantee we will be back. The bed and linens were superb and the bathroom with the oversized tub couldn't be beat. The mini bar had great snacks and drinks that were priced very reasonably.
The hotel staff were all super attentive and made for an even more enjoyable stay. I feel like the one issue I had was the total disregard for federal COVID safety

We stayed at Hotel Valencia for our wedding night many years ago and decided to spend this year's anniversary stay-cation here. So glad we did. Our room was upgraded when staff learned of our anniversary, and we also were provided complimentary cocktails. Everyone was so friendly, especially Sarah at the front desk and Ronnie at the front door. The room was lovely and clean. We purchased a few perishable items from the Pearl and the hotel supplied us with a mini-fridge to keep these items fresh. The hotel is in close proximity to most everything downtown San Antonio has to offer - we were

I'm baaaaaaaack. The ambiance of this hotel is so unique, as I may have commented on before in earlier reviews. In every design detail, the aesthetic is in sync. I love it. My favorite thing about this hotel though, (besides the free bottle of wine ) is the quiet. We were on the street side of the hotel, so we woke up to church bells. The hallways and rooms are quiet, the beds are comfortable and the staff is professional. It is within a very short walk to lots of fun things. I never get tired of this hotel.

Absolutely horrible experience. The only reason I gave it 1 star is because the valet guys were great.
At check in they wrote wrong room number on my key card. Cockroach on door knob of my son's room. Ants all over both our rooms. The creamer for the coffee was all expired. I asked 3 different times for creamer and never got it.
We tried to eat breakfast the first morning and it was bland, potatoes stale. I ordered a breakfast taco and they don't even try to get fresh tortillas--again stale and tasteless.
Last day I called front desk to complain and receptionist didn't even apologize

We booked and paid for this hotel through Travelocity. A few days later while reviewing my credit card charges, I noticed another full charge for the room, called Valencia hotel directly. The gal that answered the phone stated that $240 charge was for the jar of jelly beans, a bottle of water and valet parking.
After realizing it was a bit too steep, she looked at the charges closer and stated that it will be refunded, since the charge was obviously a billing error...it's been several days and I'm still waiting for them to refund the charge.

So I booked this hotel for a staycation and couldn't wait to check in an enjoy a luxurious hotel in downtown San Antonio. So I was shocked to find that the room I reserved was not a river view so when I asked about it they said they could upgrade me to a room with a view for an up charge of $60. Why not right? So I get to my river view room on the 7th floor with a view of an abandoned building that was under construction and graffiti all over it. Then as a new rewards member I was given a credit for the honor system bar fridge. Checked my charges on my credit card afterwards and was charged

My husband and I love this hotel, it's so amazing!! Most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The rooms have such a cool aesthetic and the view to the courtyard was beautiful. The room service food from the attached restaurant was delicious. It's a short walk to a super fun part of the riverwalk, with tons of restaurants and night life. I can't say enough good things!! You have to stay here in downtown San Antonio!

Enjoyed our checkin process... very smooth and room was ready early. Room was great (king courtyard with balcony). There was suppose to be dancers in the courtyard and that did not happen although advertised on website and poster as you enter hotel?!? Bed was great- the down side occurs when you need you car back from valet. They tell you to call down 20 minutes before you need it, but when we called they said "no busy check out time you have to come down". Mobs of people waiting , 30 minute wait... this process needs improved.

Gorgeous rooms and location, bummed that I booked my room 2 weeks in advance and repeatedly asked for adjoining rooms. When we checked in they claimed that request hadn't been logged into the system. Have a 5 yr old and really would have been helpful if they hadn't screwed that up.
Also there is a mini fridge in the room but it's full of beer, water...etc. so not really useful.

Very disappointed with the hotel. Found out after checking in that room service is suspended during spring break. Cleaning up the room is totally out of the question.
Mask's are voluntary, they won't require guest to wear mask even though the given's orders do allow business' to require customers to wear mask or be charged with trespassing. This is very careless and foolish during a time when things are trying to reopen and caution should be exercised every step of the way until we are over this.
Elevator rides are continually interrupted when a barrage of people swarm

So I give this a three star because the beds were so darn cozy! I loved the decor and ambience. The staff were friendly and I loved one of my valet peeps! He was super helpful.
Downside: No one EVER cleaned the room. I had to request clean towels and coffee condiments. The third night I tried calling the lobby to request clean towels and no answer... I was just too tired to walk down to request what should have already been available.
Oh and note to self.... parking is 38.00 a night PLUS a tip. Phew

We had an abysmal experience.
First of all, the hotel is not requiring guests to wear masks or socially distance, despite what their website claims. The elevators and lobby were crowded with people, many of whom were not wearing masks.
The front desk staff was rude, in particular a woman with chin length hair, who no manners and the attitude of a spoiled entitled teenager, not hospitality staff.
We ordered room service in the afternoon, which never arrived. Our mini bar was empty, and we asked for them to fill it, which they never did.
We tried room service again for dinner at 8, and they were

This hotel was gorgeous! I loved m stay here. It was elegant, clean, stylish and hospitable.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The Spanish decor was so classy and simple and gave me so many beautiful visuals that i just couldn't get enough of.
I wish i woulda had more time to stay and use the amenities of the hotel. They have a beautiful lobby, wine bar area and restaurant.
Valet parking is the way to go. Easily pull up and they take care of the rest.
The bedding was cozy and comfortable. Rooms were perfectly clean and sanitized. The room also had a mini bar with drinks and snacks

Location location location! Absolutely love everything about this hotel. Central to everything! We spent a lot of time on the scooters and everything was less than 2 miles away. There was a Starbucks across the street which was always super packed. Attendants were great, and staff was very helpful.
We ordered room service. The wings were subpar (possibly from a freezer bag and warmed up) but the grilled chicken sandwich was perfection. I would suggest ordering some kind of specialty item, and stay away from the easy stuff.
Valet was $45 a night, so we ended up parking the car in a lot behind

Hotel Valencia Riverwalk is a hotel located in the central part of San Antonio near the Riverwalk. I ended up staying at this hotel for work.
The Hotel Valencia Riverwalk has one main entrance, right across the Zocalo Mio and a walk-down entrance to the Riverwalk. There is Valet offering at Hotel Valencia Riverwalk as well.
