Services
Providing outstanding pet care is about more than providing and keeping track of pet vaccines. From our receptionist, our licensed medical practitioners, and everyone in between, it takes a team of professionals who truly care for animals and the people who own them. If that's the kind of clinic you're looking for in Avon, NY, then you've found it right here with Avon Animal Hospital.
Avon Animal Hospital has been serving the animals around Avon, NY since its establishment in the early 1900s by Dr. Frank Cleaver. Originally located at 83 E. Main St, the clinic treated both large and small animals. Through the years several veterinarians have been part of the clinic and carried on the tradition of service to the community and its four legged members.
A 2006 Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine graduate, Dr. Marvin joined the team at Avon Animal Hospital in 2014. Dr. Marvin became the primary owner of the hospital in 2016 when Dr. Warriner semi-retired. She hopes to spend many years serving the needs of the community, their pets, and continuing the tradition of good quality medicine the practice has always offered.
Avon Animal Hospital has provided full pet care services as well as boarding for over 50 years while establishing a reputation for excellent service and good quality medicine. Wellness care is just that - monitoring pets while they are well to create a baseline for catching issues before they become health risks.
They always get our dog in as soon as they can. They are caring and compassionate. They are doing an amazing job of keeping us and themselves safe during this time while taking excellent care of our precious pets! Very compassionate, very reasonable! I've been bringing my pets for over 10 years now, and I've only got nice things to say! Great vet!

After looking for a veterinarian to care for my dogs I came across Avon animal hospital and after calling and speaking to the receptionist who gave me a lot of information I made an appointment for one of the dogs and after meeting the veterinarian who was kind, caring, and compassionate and loved the dog, I found myself taking all of my animals there from the other animal hospital. They really care don’t charge an astronomical amount of money to see my dog. I will recommend them to everyone I know!

After years of bouncing around from place to place trying to find a good fit and fair prices, I think we finally found a match. We’ve only been going here for a year, but unfortunately have been frequent fliers.
Dr. Marvin is absolutely fantastic! I’ve spent time at other vet clinics wondering if the people working there even like animals. That’s not a question here. She and her staff always smile and pet my animals like they were their own.

Bilbo Baggins, our 14 year old Ragamuffin had a partial blockage in January. Our then vet, 35 minutes away, couldn't get us in. So we went back to Avon, originally left because of a specific breed of dog we had. Dr Marvin and Sarah were wonderful and Bilbo was treated and headed for home in a reasonable amount of time. The silver lining is Bilbo didn't get dreadfully car sick like he did on the 35 minute trip. Had to have the mobile groomer scheduled immediately following his appointment. We could manage him after this visit. Yesterday he went in for his annual visit. A little bit of drool, nothing
