Our pets can't tell us how they feel, and often, outward signs of underlying illness are subtle - until the illness becomes severe. If you bring your animals here, I highly recommend request to see Dr. Bill Murphy instead of Aime Rennie. My dog has very high anxiety and is very anxious and Dr. Murphy was very patient with him and worked with him very well. However, Aime rennie spent two minutes with my dog and said that she could not handle him. He also had a muzzle on. And prior to that when he saw Dr. Murphy, he did not have a muzzle on and Dr. Murphy still worked with him. Dr Aime Rennie spent two minutes with my dog and said that she could not handle him. I highly do not recommend seeing her. However Dr. Murphy is amazing

Critical: Professionalism, Value
Horrible experience putting our cat down. Lack of sympathy. My kids were traumatized after how things were handled. Was asked to submit our complaints of service and received no response back. The answer to them for keeping the pets fear free is by heavily sedating them. Would never recommend to anyone.

I was very impressed! My cat wasn’t scared or upset when she returned from her visit. Staff gave me the opportunity to ask questions, share concerns, and follow up about her visit. Everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to talk me through all my concerns and explain all recommendations. I was extra impressed by the next-day follow up text after my cat’s vaccine. I also appreciate the dedication to everyone’s safety during the pandemic! The best experience I’ve ever had with a vet visit.

Dr. Murphy has been my children's pediatrician for 30 yrs. He is the best and his staff are top notch. I trust noone with my kids except for him. I believe his prices are comparable with all vets. From bringing my babies for their 1st kitten visit to having them cross over rainbow bridge, Dr. Murphy and his staff are so caring and compassionate.

My baby (18 years old) just had to be put to sleep a week ago today. He was a wonderful cat who had been taken good care of by Dr Murphy. It was time, Dr Murphy assured me I was making the right choice. Although so sad and heart breaking, Dr Murphy and the staff were so comforting to me and gentle with my “Pretty”. His ashes are home with me now and that to brings me comfort and closure. Thank you Westside Animal Hospital for many years of wonderful service. 🐾.

We recently switched to Westside Animal Hospital to seek care for our two dogs. The service has been incredible. When interacting with people in any role at this facility, is clear that your pet's health and safety is at the forefront of the conversation. In fact, when I first called (not yet having registered as a patient), they kindly helped me to find an urgent care for our dog to be seen for a same-day appointment, while taking care of the follow-up at their office later on. Hands down the best staff and veterinary care I've ever received. I just got a kitten and even if I'm feeling paranoid about something small, I can simply call and bring my cat Buddy in right away and they'll tell me what is or isn't wrong with him. I've been to a number of animal hospitals and they've all been some degree of rude or condescending. Dr. Murphy and his staff are the most kind and passionate people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Just had our first appointment with our two dogs. I can not express how impressed I am at the level of professionalism and kindness of the staff. Dr. Murphy is a rare find. The way they do appointments is not something I have seen in the entire time I have owned dogs over the course of five different offices. You will be happy you took the time to take your furkids there for an appointment. I learned so much about the integrity they have from a candle on the front desk that when lit asks other clients to be respectful as someone is loosing their pet at that moment. That is a nice touch. We had to take our dog to see Dr. Murphy for the worst of all reasons. She experienced a sudden turn for the worse, due to age and an on-going, life-threatening disease. Dr. Murphy was kind and compassionate and non-judgmental regarding our choice to let her go. He understood our feelings and was respectful to our pet and to us. He and his staff were so kind and thoughtful to my wife and me and our beloved pet.
