Wanchese Marina is a great place to come eat, take a fishing charter, or dolphin cruise. It is located right on Wanchese Harbor and offers inshore, nearshore, and offshore charter boats. Inside their store that have a great restaurant that offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Their service is great along with their food that tastes great.

Forget the overpriced restaurants on the OBX. This place is certainly affordable and delicious with a generous helping! 2 Flounder and Shrimp baskets with hush puppies, coleslaw and the best fries for $25.98 and authentic ambiance watching the fishing charters dock! The drive to Wanchese is quaint and what the area must’ve been like before the boom. Highly recommended!!

You can dine here, but it is order at a counter and they bring it to you. The people that work there are very nice and friendly. We had 8 people, it wasn’t crowded, and the food did not come out at the same time, and they missed two of our orders (already paid for.) A/C does not work and it is stuffy and hot in there, so don’t I wouldn’t plan to eat inside. Food was decent, but wouldn’t make the trip back to go again. Plenty of other places with good seafood and working air condition. If you are on a boat, this would be a good option to dock and get food/drink. Wanchese is all industrial

Great shout out for Wanchese marina and The Hayden Express. Booking from the marina was a breeze and the food was great. Captain Ralph and his first mate Iggy are first class Fishman. . We had a great time on a nearshore trip. We had the first fish in the cooler with in 30 minutes of getting out and the first line in the water. We caught 6 Spanish and 3 Kings. Trip of a lifetime. We are definitely going to try to book another trip in the fall.

The Harbor Star Dolphin cruise was one of the best I've been on! The captain was handsome and enthusiastic as well as knowledgeable about the surroundings we experienced. He was very patient with child passengers as he thoughtfully answered their questions. It was incredibly touching. His first mate was also very sweet and helpful.
The cruise was the best experience I've had so far with different dolphin tours I've been on. Truly thankful I chose the Harbor Star! Finally, the Wanchese Marina Grill was a delicious dine in to enjoy afterwards!
