Our veterinary clinic and animal hospital is run by Dr. Julie Magyar, who is a licensed, experienced Radford veterinarian. Our team is committed to educating our clients in how to keep your pets healthy year round, with good nutrition and exercise.
Christina has been working at Riverside Veterinary Clinic since graduating from Blue Ridge Community College in 2006 with Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology. She started at our clinic as a Licensed Veterinary Technician and became the Practice Manager in 2010.
Although Christina loved living in the Shenandoah Valley while attending school, she couldn't wait to move back to the New River Valley where she was born and raised.From a very young age Christina had a passion and love for animals. When Christina is not at the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her husband and three children.

Our appointment book is computerized which allows us to efficiently make appointments for you and your pet. Our receptionists and team will attempt to accommodate all requests to the best of our ability. Emergencies are accepted anytime our clinic is open. If you feel you have an emergency with your pet, please call us or come to the hospital immediately.

So glad I started going to riverside vet thsy have a super super nice staff doctors every thing about them is good they saved my babies life I have had him for 18 years and i was so sure i was going to have to put him down thanks to the doctor and nurses they saved him and also the bill was not bad at all there pricing is great every were else i have been was outrageous

Stumbled across a first appointment/consult free promotion that this vet offers while looking for somewhere to take my Shih Tzu to so figured I'd give them a shot, and I'm so glad I did. This is hands down the BEST vet I've ever been to (and I've been to quite a few through the years)! They were able to get me in surprisingly quick once I contacted them and the staff were all extremely nice and professional. The vet was very thorough checking my boy over and actually took thetime to explain in great detail everything he was checking/saw as he did so. First time I've ever been to a vet and felt

If I had posted a review over a year ago it would have been 5 stars. I had an amazing experience when Dr. Brown was still at the clinic. I have a 11 y/o dog who is anxious around new people but loves people when he realized they are not a threat. I was unaware the vet seeing my dog was one he AND I had never met before. I explained to the vet techs he would react anxiously without me but I was refused to be allowed inside with my senior pup. I recently moved and asked for his records to send to his new vet clinic only to find out he was MUZZLED his last visit with this new vet and I was never told

I have trusted Riverside with my pups for almost ten years. I have senior dogs who require almost constant check ups and I always feel the vets really care about me and my pets. You're not just a price tag at Riverside like other places I've tried. Animal care industries are exhausting and I am so grateful for how hard they work to help us here.

The staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Potter was calming and carefully explained the health issues toe that my dog was experiencing. Also provided me the cost for medical care for my dog. I was relieved after speaking with him and plan to continue having them care for my dog. They are available several days each week with evening hours. I appreciate the call I received several days after our visit to check on my dog. Very reasonable pricing for pet care.

Riverside is a wonderful clinic! We had called everywhere between Pulaski to Vinton, trying to find someone who would see one of our fancy rats for an urgent issue. We were lucky and happy that Dr. Magyar could see him so quickly! Many people don't view rats as true pets, but all of the staff we encountered were excited to meet our furball. The front desk receptionists were absolutely lovely, making the paperwork and processing a breeze. Dr. Magyar and her assistant, Sarah K., were amazing! Full of compassion and smiles, and so loving to our little family member. They took care of him beautifully

Can't say enough about them. Staff is wonderful and very helpful. Doc is very caring of the animals she see's and extremely helpful with them. Even if you pet passed over the rainbow bridge they send you a card expressing there sympathy. I have went to other vets a few times and I look for a different one, not any more they satisfied all my veterinarian needs for my puppers.

I took my pup there today. After the encounter we had the other day with another vet I was very pleased with these guys! My pup is skittish around new surroundings and people she doesn’t know and they handled her amazingly. I was impressed! And the veterinarian actually called to speak with me about my pup and her growth and some things we need to work on. I really can’t thank you guys enough! I’d definitely recommend them!
