The hotel is run down and the price is obscene for what you get. I was promised on Booking.com and in conversations with the front desk staff that I would receive a mountain view room. I checked in and immediately realized this hotel was nothing that was advertised in the pictures on Booking.com or on their Google page. I had driven past the property on my way to upper Sedona and realized not only did they misrepresent the location in the booking.com description saying it was a 1 mile from upper Sedona when it’s 2.3 miles but the whole exterior looked old and dated. They presented it as if it

Wow! This was a 10/10 great stay! Wes if you ever come across this just want you to know that you rock ! He allowed us to check in early, recommended nice places to check out and was very informational about anything we wanted to know. He is a great host! The room rocked ! Fireplace that actually works in the room. Radio that's bluetooth so you can listen to music or look at a digital clock. TV that had all the channels and did not have to pay for anything extra unlike some hotels. Everything was clean and nicely set up. There was a mini fridge that worked great. The mountain view was awesome and

My family has been staying here every year on the same weekend for the last 8 years. I guess it’s under new management because they didn’t know who we were. The desk clerk used to greet us with a “Welcome Back”. The rooms do not have extra blankets. The sheets don’t fit the bed so they come loose as soon as you get in bed. They changed the regular coffee machine in the room to a cheap Kurig that never brewed. When I called to the main desk (three times) they did not answer. The breakfast is wrapped packages of food that they feed children for school lunch. I don’t think I’ll be back

The location is great, it's near some trails and it's further from the craziness of uptown Sedona. We got the King room with the Jacuzzi. The room has a fire place and it's really nice. The jacuzzi was clean, and they provided bath crystals to use with the tub. The bed was on the soft side. was not the most comfortable for us. This place is still a good deal and we're glad we stayed here. We didn't have the breakfast at this hotel, it seemed ok, but we were on our honeymoon and we decided to splurge and go out to some of the places nearby.

The service and hospitality that we received during our stay at Southwest Inn were sub-optimal. The price we paid for the room was not worth at all.
We visited Sedona on our honeymoon and also  mentioned this while confirming our reservation at this place. We read many reviews of people who got special treatment on their honeymoon trip in this hotel, but we did not get any of those. On top of that , we experienced utter inconvenience, starting from plumbing fixtures not working, electrical fixtures broken, no water supply for half a day and a lizard in our room which the maintenance guys helped

The hotel was clean and beautiful. The views are nice! It's conveniently located. The bed was TERRIBLE!!! The purpose of a hotel s to have somewhere to sleep. The beds are so hard and uncomfortable my boyfriend an I did not sleep well at all. My back hurt in the morning. Definitely not worth 400+ dollars a night.

So disappointed. I seriously never write reviews unless I'm super impressed or super disappointed. My fiancé and our 7 year old checked into our suite (room and living room) to stay 3 nights. We left after 30 mins. There were two big cockroaches, and a dead grasshopper that must have been dead for a while. Cockroaches disgust me and there's no way I'm having my son sleep in a place where there's a possibility of one crawling on him as he sleeps. The furniture was so outdated. The pillowcases had a yellow tint. They need to really invest in improving their rooms.

Great boutique hotel for a quick visit! Clean, spacious, and awesome jetted tub! BTW, the headboards light up! Like we were at Disneyland Hotel. It is close to everything, and the staff were super friendly. We will stay here again for sure.

Lovely, dogs accepted, but no smoking - even on your own balcony! Little dinky bench in the middle of the parking lot. Great room though (suite) with lovely views. I'd get breakfast at the little bakery across the parking lot. Much better, even if it isn't free.

The staff was very friendly and we were able to check in early. The rooms are nice and spacious., loved the fireplace in our room too. I read other reviews prior to booking the room and all reviews said the beds were comfy well ours felt like a box spring for the price we paid beds should be a little softer. No I will not come back.

By reading some reviews on the internet I was a little skeptical of how this hotel would be. I rented the king jacuzzi fireplace room. The room was clean, the outside of the motel was clean. I booked because of the price. Yes it was about a 15 minute drive into the heart of Sedona, but in my opinion it was a great value. There is a nice little breakfast spot about 20 feet away and we had dinner at a little sports bar that was about 1 block away. The desk staff was very helpful and even gave me a map of local restaurants so I could see what was around. I would definitely stay here again and would

Smooth and easy online reservation and check in was just as smooth upon arrival. Very courteous and kind staff. VERY CLEAN!!! COVID protocols being followed!! Found this place on a whim and decided to get out of town for the weekend. Went for a room with fire place and whirlpool tub, wonderful cozy feel with nice artistic touches. (Some other options are rooms with balcony, view, etc.) Great perk, EVERY ROOM IS PET FRIENDLY! Right before the hustle and bustle of town so still quiet & nice view of stars, but within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars, etc. Not over priced for location

This was a nice little hotel with okay views.
The room has everything you need for a nice getaway.
Fridge, fireplace, air conditioning, and a nice ambiance that makes you feel like your in Sedona.
The balcony was a nice area for eating or getting a nice breath of fresh air, but the view from my room (232) were subpar.

The staff was extremely nice and very accommodating.
No issues there.

The only reason i rated it 4 and not 5 stars was i thought it to be a little overpriced for what it offered.

Overall great hotel, but look around to see if there's more to offer for the price.

I would say this is an old building that has been remodeled and refreshed. The staff upon arrival were nice and helpful answering my questions. The room had a calming fireplace and a separate jetted bathtub. They lose a star for two reasons that may not be important to you but was to me. They listed on their site as having luxury sheets. They were microfiber sheets not cotton! Microfiber is made out of polyester which is plastic. We cannot sleep in plastic sheets as they make you feel sweaty and uncomfortable. I wish they used real luxury sheets that were cotton as that is what I expected. Also

Let's start by calling this place what it is - an overpriced motel.

No hand sanitizer in the lobby, which concerns me about the cleanliness of the rest of the place.

Breakfast is served daily- spoons in a container, unwrapped, with the part you put in your mouth facing up. Brilliant during times of COVID.

There's a $10/day "utility fee" they make you initial for when you check in. IF YOU DON'T INITIAL, THEY WILL REFUND THE $10/DAY. Just call after you check out and request the refund. Wish I knew that myself!

On the flip side, this motel has beautiful mountain views

Never will stay again here. I booked it for my significant other birthday get away. View and the fireplace look so amazing on the site. When we checked in. The jet tub was dirty. Fireplace didn't work. We got switched to another room. Same issue. Our allergy kicked in. We thought it maybe the flowers or so. We went to bed. Woke u up congested. Had to go to store for allergy pills. We looked around the room and there was pet fur by our bed. It was just a disaster get away.

Never again, we stayed here for 2 nights and killed 2 cockroaches and 1 spider. Also the decor is outdated and is desperately in need of a refresh/update. I'm not trying to dis this place arbitrarily, just keeping it real.

It wasn't extremely clean but the location is good, so for that reason I am giving it 2 stars.

Cute little Inn in Sedona. Views from the porch was great. Tub was a little stained and you could tell it's old. The towels were also of worn and not as "white" as they could be. Ceiling had a water stain and there's no microwave in the room.

I never have written a review while I am still staying in the hotel, but I just had to for this place. We checked in today.
We booked the room for 2 of our 20 day, cross country road trip. We always wanted to see Sedona, and the reviews and photos of this place, we thought it would be just what we wanted.
We pre-booked all of our rooms, so we had to be in our next destination on the 3rd day of our vacation. We already was taken by the beauty of Sedona, just driving into this charming little town. But when we checked into the hotel, and saw our room, We decided that we need to figure out

You are definitely paying for the location. Expect slightly better than motel quality. There are some upgrades throughout the hotel that make the rooms look a bit nicer and it's definitely cleaner than a motel but it's boning screams motel.

I like the theme of the rooms and the attempt to look nicer than its previous bones but there are still some upgrades to be done to make it feel
More homey. For instance, the old AC unit on the wall is an eye sore as well as the cheap popcorn ceiling.

Overall ok place to stay due to the location, hot tub and breakfast. The rooms are clean and fine

Nice small inn a couple of miles from downtown Sedona. East facing rooms on two levels and all have porches or balconies and red rock views. Lower level rooms accessed from the front, and upper level rooms from the back, two to a pathway or staircase so relatively private. Rooms closer to the front/road can be quite noisy as there's a lot of traffic on 89A at all times. We had a king room with a gas fireplace which was what we used for heat and keeping it on for a couple of hours before bedtime left the room warm enough through the night (in February). There is a window side aircon unit
