A home inspection is a visual and functional inspection of all major systems of the home, including the structure, roof, exterior, interior, electrical system, HVAC system(s), plumbing system, and appliances. Although a home inspection is non-invasive, many defects will leave visual evidence that can be spotted by a highly trained inspector.

Radon comes from the natural but radioactive breakdown of uranium in soil, rock, and water and can get into the air you breathe. Testing indoor air for radon: We recommend this testing to almost all of our clients.
At 1st Call Home Inspections, our inspectors have a great deal of experience, and the best education, credentials and industry affiliations. He worked as an Automotive Technician for 12 years, was an assistant store manager for five years, and held a store manager position for one year.
Our home inspection reports are typically delivered by email at within 24 hours of the inspection. The reports are saved as.pdf files just like the sample reports below. The reports begin with a title page and table of contents. The summary section is next and it organizes every defect found by severity of defect and then by system of the home the defect was found in.
Below are photos of some of the common problems we find when doing home inspections, with a description for each. We inspect the roof for missing and damaged shingles. The damaged shingle pictured above is causing or will cause a roof leak. It is important to inspect the roof defects like this so they can be repaired before they leak and cause additional damage.

We used Mark for our home inspection prior to purchase. He and John were extremely thorough and knowledge about everything. They spent hours checking inside and outside of the house and explained the things they were looking for and found that could be a potential risk if not corrected.
