My name is Lucas Ferrara, licensed home inspector and owner of Landmark. I have been in the construction industry for decades. My hands-on experience is one of my most valuable tools as a home inspector. I don't wonder what the issue is or how to fix it - because I have likely fixed that same issue with my own two hands.

Radon is a naturally occurring, radioactive gas that, at unsafe levels, is the second leading cause of lung cancer. Unfortunately, since radon is colorless and odorless, its presence often goes undetected until it's too late. That's why radon testing is so vital. It's best to follow the guidelines set by the Environmental Protection Agency, and schedule a radon testing service every two years.
Having good, clean water is critical to the health of you and your family - so before you buy, sell, or continue to live in your home, be sure to have us professionally test your water for contaminants. Is the water you're drinking really safe? Know for certain with a water testing service. I will gather samples of your water, send it off for testing, and create a detailed report of what's really in your water by a NYS Certified Laboratory.

I wanted a thorough inspection of a home I was interested in purchasing. Since costs can add up quickly when shopping for and buying a home, I also wanted one that was affordable. Scheduling the inspection with Landmark Home Inspections was easy. On the day of the inspection, Lucas showed up early and went right to work. I followed him through the inspection, and he pointed out things that needed to be addressed and explained why it was important. Lucas provided a thorough inspection and based on my extensive search, did so at the most affordable price.

When I called to request a pre-purchase inspection and radon testing, Lucas got back to me within a few hours and was willing to set something up for that week. He did such a thorough job, not just with the report, but with explaining everything that he noticed. I trusted him and knew he would let us know if something was amiss.
