Very deceitful and way over priced. We were looking for a shorter term lease and they told us that if we paid more that we could get out of our lease sooner. This was lie. We paid for a 3 bedroom apartment when we only needed a 1 bedroom apartment because we were told that it could be short-term. When signing the contract, I mentioned that the lease was a one year lease and they told me that we could get out of it early if we needed to. This was also a lie. I notified them that I was ready to move out and they said that I had to pay an extra month's rent to avoid paying a larger penalty. The penalty

Stay far away from this place. attempted to sign a lease and was in contact with ashley for weeks until she stated my background check came back with no credit and I had to pay the maximum deposit. (lies) I had a car, multiple credit cards, and an apartment in my name with no co-signer at that. When called out on that, I called the company the background check was completed through and they stated they didnt even have a report for my social security number. called the complex back and they stated they sent in the wrong social security number. what are the chances? I found them to be probably the best apartment experience anyone could have. The apartment was nice and comfortable. Walls were thick. The staff was very reasonable. The price is high, but you definitely get what you pay for. I was there for 18 months. Honestly, when I left it was only because we got a mortgage home. If I ever had to rent again I’d go to stoneybrook. One thing I liked especially was how reasonable they were when I left. We only had a $200 security deposit and we kept a demon spawn cat. I have had much better experiences with apartment complexes. For what I pay for rent, this complex is not worth it. The person that handled my lease (Rebecca) is awesome, outside of that, poor management. When the water leak happened for the second time, we were not notified in a timely manner. I knew the water was out at least a couple hours before an email was sent. Also, the sewer bill doesn’t match up in my opinion; we are over paying every month for that. The worst apartments ever. No lie** We are without water Right now as I write this review I never write reviews but this one is over due. We have been without water for 2 days now. Absolutely no water not a single drip. They give us no valid explanation to what’s keep causing this problem. No it’s not the first time this has happened this month let alone last month and the month before that too. I’m breaking my lease and that’s that. Please you guys Do not come here it’s horrible. Honestly I don’t get where they continue to go up on rent every year like this is an gated apartment complex. I came to visit my family member and it was trash in the swimming pool including old band-aids while the staff was sitting inside relaxing. Theirs no security or gate to keep this from being a neighbor hood pool area. Also, how are you making this apartment complex inviting to potential renters if you have this huge sign in the entrance telling people when rent is late. I definitely plan to speak to the head of this property real soon, definitely not the people in the office. One bedroom

DO NOT live in these apartments unless you want roaches crawling all over the place. I have seen more roaches in the 6 months I have lived here than I did in 3 past apartments I lived in COMBINED! I am no longer comfortable in my apartment. I have told them several times about these damn bugs, and they don’t seem to care. They’ve come and sprayed and I keep telling them it’s not working. This is NOT ok! We pay almost $1000 a month to live in a roach infested apartment. I literally cannot wait to move!

Well, I LOVE my new apartment !! The management has been awesome from the very first time I came to check them out, super friendly & have made me feel right at home. The complex is clean, my neighbors are all great & maintenance has been super quick and polite about ANY issue I've had (which have only been minor & routine). Would recommend Stoney Brook to anyone looking for a new place!!!

I loved living here! If I hadn't gotten a job in a different city, I would stay. It's a great area, I feel very safe and there are lots of stores such as Target, Winn Dixie, and Walmart all close by. Lots of restaurants as well. Management was always very nice when I went, they always asked how things were going. Maintenance was there to fix my complaints within about a day and were very professional. Pest control comes to your apartment upon request. Also, traffic heading to downtown Birmingham is better than many other places around (like 280 and 65 South). My only complaints about this place

We can't thank Doug enough for all the help he gave us in getting my husband in his apartment when he had to make a quick move due to his job. It's our opinion Doug went above and beyond as we did most of the paperwork online and over the phone. He always takes time to chat with us when we walk into the office, even if it's just a quick hello.
We have had our issues within the apartment but have never had an issue getting them resolved. Nothing major, just you normal wear and tear as you would see in any home.
