Lazaro SoHo is a unique boutique in New York for hard to find and one of a kind designer menswear and jewelry. One of my favorite stores in Soho. I have 3 amazing Japanese and Italian Design pieces (jacket,… coat, and pancho) plus some everyday jewelry pieces. I soon will have a bespoke jewelry piece made for me. Went in here to make a purchase for a friend, who called about a sweater that he had placed on hold. He was quoted one price, and I forgot to confirm the price when I purchased it (my bad). Come to find out, they miss quoted him the price of another sweater. He called for a price adjustment, and was received an apology and was told 'we'll take care of you when you come back.' I have collected 6 or 7 pieces and clearly will admit I wish I had Double...I have had custom sizes etc. and the quality and precise fit is exactly what I wanted or they would have done whatever I requested....Honestly , the owner is not only caring (his responses) he IS so talented as well its a unique combination ...I'd give 10 stars , ps. not aware of any custom jewelry that doesn't require patients.

I find most of the stuff here to be way overdone, but you can sometimes find neat things if you look closely. I've purchased a few small pieces of jewelry here as gifts over the years and everything is extremely expensive by practically any measure. The only thing that I've bought for myself is a small, plain leather necklace that was, by this place's terms, a complete bargain at over $200 when on sale. I read some of the bad reviews--that was so not my experience..I have been going to Lazaro since he had his first store. I have had nothing but a positive experience..His jewelry is very unique and well worth the price..One time I bought a beaded bracelet that I felt was too tight, I brought it back and he was able to put on extra beads with no problem and no additional cost..
My advice is if you're in the neighborhood, check out his store and see for yourself.....

designer, artist he lets you collaborate with him on any piece there or in your head.
I have a beautiful collection and always see new

vision and incredibly nice and caring.
I'd suggest you to stop in when you're in SOHO or make a special trip down there. You won't be disappointed.

Firstly they mis quoted the price on the item, it was several hundred dollars higher. Then I agreed to buy it aslong as they delivered it to me in time as I was going to be out of town for over a month over summer. It wasn't a quick turn around time either as I came into the shop on a Saturday and told them I needed the item delivered to me by Tuesday (as I was traveling). All they needed to do was remove 3 beads from the bracelet. Naturally I didn't get the service I was promised, and they called me on Wednesday to tell me it was ready. Horrible experience. One of the worst customer experiences ever. Make that the worst.
My sweetheart bought me a coat, XL. I wear a Large everyday, but she was not sure, and spoke to the cashier who said she could return it no problem if it didn't fit. It was at best a medium! Obviously mislabeled. We didn't know until a few weeks later, when she gave it to me for my birthday.
She went back to the store to return or exchange for a store credit. Did not ask for cash, just a store credit.After putting her through some arguments, she was finally told I could come in within the next two weeks

Lazaro is, without a doubt, the best place to buy unique, beautiful, (some would call it "rockstar" jewelry) in NYC. This isn't Cartier or Tiffany's...this is next level sh*t right here.
The staff is amazing, Lazaro Diaz is often there, and is extremely approachable, and they really take the time to work with you on getting awesome piece, and will custom make/alter specific pieces to accommodate what you want.
Last time I was in I got an AMAZING raven and crown necklace, one of Lazaro's signature bracelets, a totally blinged out wallet chain, and a bunch of clothes

For one of a kind jewelry (and I do mean one of a kind -- Lazaro makes virtually all of it himself!) this is the place to go! I can't even tell you how many times I have been wearing a pair of his earrings and (literally!) stopped on the street and complimented on them.
Although Lazaro no longer carries as many of his more delicate, feminine pieces, this place is still a treasure trove of great finds.
