Parents must bring an extra set of clothes for the child to change into before entering into the program. Parents are not allowed to enter into the classroom at pick up or drop off. A teacher will escort your child into the classroom and bring your child to the welcome area when you arrive to pick up.

Barbara Ng was a kindergarten teacher in Hong Kong, a job that she loved for over 5 years. She carried that passion for early childhood education with her when she immigrated to the United States, leading to the launch of Brilliant Kids. Established in 2010 in the heart of San Francisco's Excelsior district, 'Brilliant Kids Childcare and Preschool' specialises in providing home-based professional daycare services and education for pre-schoolers.
It's amazing to watch the rapid growth in children as they reach developmental milestones all on their own, with just the right amount of help from their teachers. Here are some brief bios from our faculty and staff. Barbara Ng is the site director and child care provider at our 445 Amazon Ave facility.
In 2019, Barbara was recognized for her long history of supporting the early educator community in San Francisco. She was chosen amongst 200 other childcare providers and was rewarded as the Family Child Care Provider Champion by the San Francisco Children's Council. She was commended on establishing and overseeing Brilliant Kids Child Care & Preschool, as well as leadership in the Family Child Care Quality Network Provider Leadership Academy.
Did you know that language brain growth is strongest in the first year of a child's life?. When children are exposed to different languages at a young age, the part of the brain responsible for cognitive thinking skills undergoes constant stimulation which leads to them being able to absorb information like a sponge.
The type of quality care a child receives early on can often determine the difference between a healthy start at school or falling behind. In our childcare and preschool program, we blend various aspects of different learning styles to curate a curriculum that is tailored to each child - we understand that when it comes to education, it's not 'one size style fits all'.

We are so lucky to have found Barbara. We looked at 10+ childcare facilities when choosing a school for our first-born. It’s always so hard to trust your child to someone you don’t know. Barabara was the last school we looked at. She literally ended our search. It was so clear from talking to her and seeing the difference in her facility that we jumped at the chance to get in. I've had the pleasure to work with miss Serena Tsang. She is truly an expert in her field and the way she takes care of her clients children and empowers them is nothing like I've ever seen any other childcare centre provide. Our family LOVED Brilliant Kids and we would have stayed if grades K-5 were available. Truly, this is a wonderful childcare and preschool and I could not recommend it more highly. For background, Serena, our child's teacher, has a bachelor's degree in child education and is backed up by her mother, Barbara, who was formerly a school teacher. In addition to this training, their facility is welcoming, exceedingly clean, and newly renovated. Our daughter was happy to go there each day. My 3.5yo and 1.5yo have been under the care of Barbara, Joe, and Serena since they were 4mo. BKC was the last place we toured when searching for a daycare for our first born and after seeing it and meeting Barbara we couldn't think of sending her anywhere else.
The facility is clean, bright, and spacious. They serve nutritious food and take the kids on weekly trips around the neighborhood to the parks and library. Barbara and Serena take great pride in maintaining high standards for their daycare. All the kids are well cared for, bilingual, and learn so much. They even potty trained my daughter

The first day my two years son toured Serena and Barbara's place, he wouldn't leave. And I know that's the right place for him. The place is bright and clean, kids have all kinds of toys to play and explore. Serena designs different themes for each month. My son has been under Serena's care for eight months now. He couldn't be happier.
Over the last eight months, my son did learn a lot. He likes reading, he learnt to organize, to clean, to be respective, he also learnt how to count, in English, Mandarin and Cantonese. He recently learnt different expressions of boats

Brilliant Kids childcare is the best homecare facility in San Francisco. It's the real deal. It's a hidden gem and we would still have the youngest enrolled with Barbara if we didn't move out of the city. It was very hard for my family to leave Brilliant Kid's because we knew finding the same high-quality care for the youngest would be nearly impossible.

We sent our son here since he was four months old. He stayed at Brilliant Kids until he was ready for preschool, last week, three years later. To say that Barbara and her familiy was like our son's family is simply not saying enough. Barbara cared for our child as if he was her own.

Our child went here and he loved it. Barbara is very friendly, caring and thoughtful. Our child learned reading, writing, coloring, drawing, singing, and many other things. If you want your kid to learn Cantonese, you should definitely send your kid here. Cantonese is our child's first language and he learned to speak, read, and write a lot more after going there. When our child left daycare, she gave us a photo album of all the activities they did. We will definitely send our younger child there when we are ready.

The children are extremely intelligent and they get along so well! The childcare provider is very friendly and genuinely cares about the kids and their education. The meals that she provides are incredibly nutritious. Additionally, she even has a weekly meal plan, an aspect only particular child care provides would display and announce in public! The interiors are designed in a very warming and comfortable manner and she provides numerous amounts of toy to play with! She is awesome and is always willing to compensate for special conditions!
