Dave has been in the automotive service industry for more than 35 years, with some 30 of those years working exclusively on BMWs. He began his career as one of the first graduates of BMW's Service Technician Education Program (S.T.E.P.). After graduating, Dave moved to the Pacific Northwest and spent 8 years at a local BMW dealership as a Master Technician and Shop Foreman.
I have consistently received the greatest service from Eastside Bavarian. I'm nervous to ever drive anything but a BMW because it would be hard for any other repair shop to match the expertise, integrity, and kindness shown by everyone at Eastside. Service was excellent. Dave, Teri and Ryan were all professional and personable and I will definitely will be using their services in the future.
Your alternator is an integral part of your starting system, helping to restore power to the battery that is lost while starting and running the engine. A failing alternator will lead to dimmed lights, a weak or dead battery, difficulty starting, strange smells, and odd sounds such as grinding or whining.

Eastside Bavarian will always be my go-to place for car services. My car has a sensor error so I brought it to Dave. He diagnosed the issue very carefully and avoided a common error where you think you need to replace the sensor (costs hundreds of dollars). Instead, he figured out the real root cause that is about wiring. Then the team fixed the issue in only a couple of hours and tried their best to bill me as few hours as possible. They are professional, honest and super friendly. I would recommend them to everyone.

I went to Eastside to fix my front brakes. I was going to go to another place but then my friend recommended this place. I called and spoke to Teri. She was helpful and accommodating and managed to squeeze me in for a repair service. At the end of the service, Eastside gave me a very thorough inspections and a very detailed report on my car. They are honest, reliable, responsive and reasonable. They also provide shuttle service. This is very convenient for me. The next time I need a service, I can leave my car in the morning and they can shuttle me to work. Teri also mentioned that I could leave

I had just bought myself a used Mini and wanted to be sure it was safe to drive. I had Eastside Bavarian perform a thorough inspection and not was it thorough. They went through every part of my Mini and even sent pictures especially of the parts that were faulty. They also took the time to explain what particular failing parts did.

Don’t typically leave reviews but Eastside Bavarian deserves it! Best auto repair/maintenance experience I have had. They finished ahead of schedule. We’re overly accommodating in scheduling pick up. Updating review with more specifics :) The most honest, organized and reputable shop I have ever worked with...and I own a land rover so I have worked with a lot of shops. We take my wife's X3 here and I recommend Eastside to everyone I know with BMWs. Just today they properly diagnosed a subtle shudder under load as a transfer case issue linked to a SB. They could very easily have pushed for a transfer case replacement that runs $5000 (mostly labor as well), but the recommended a $200 flush to see if that resolved the issue (car at 75k miles) and I am happy to report it is fully back to normal

Very nice and professional via email and phone call and in person. They always get my car in quick and perform the work when they say they will, great speed and efficiency and communication. I love the digital inspection reports with photos of any problems and of the car itself with timestamps, this is very intuitive and good peace of mind. Would be 5 stars but I had to bring my car in twice for the same engine light that should have been fixed the first time. Taking time off work and driving 30+ minutes and having my girlfriend follow me for a ride back home was not ideal for a second trip, would

We have had great experiences. Brought our BMW X5 in here thinking We needed new brakes...but due to the car sitting so long over Covid our brakes delicious crap in them and we had brake fluid flushed and oil changed and our car is running like new.
I trust Eastside Bavarian with our cars and it's so nice to have an honest and friendly establishment so close to home.

Been a BMW owner for more than 10 yrs, used many different shops in the past: dealers, family owned, indie, you name it. East Bavarian lives up to my expectations. Clean office, quick response, transparency on what's been done. Price wise, it's definitely lower than dealer. Which is what I'm looking for - a dealer type of standardized diagnostics/service/using OEM parts without the inflated price that dealers charge. We have been taking our BMW to Dave for years, he is as honest as they get. He is extremely friendly and willing to explain the processes of what is being done, what can wait and what should be done right away. You do not get this level of customer service at a dealerships, these guys are as good as they get. I will continue to bring my BMW and future BMW's to them for as long as they are open!

We took our X3 in for scheduled maintenance. Our car was completed promptly and a detailed inspection report was emailed to us. The bill came out exactly as quoted.
Working with Eastside Bavarian was easy and overall as enjoyable as vehicle maintenance can be. Plus no dealership service sticker shock. Just honest prices for a quality job.

I believe the mechanics are good. After posting a review that shared my concern over customer care and responsiveness; the owner reached out to reconcile the issue. It was discovered that their email form response system was not working properly. That is encouraging that they would work to remedy the issues.

All I can say is....WOW. I couldn't have asked for a better experience at Eastside Bavarian. I am a very meticulous person when it comes to cars, and have been trying to find a reputable and trustable Independent shop in the Puget Sound since moving from the Bay Area, CA. I got handed down my father's 2004 330i ZHP, which has such sentimental value as my dad was the first owner, and where my passion for cars all began. The car now has over 200,000 miles and was due for an inspection ii. Dave who is the owner of the shop, performed the service with the utmost professionalism and expertise

Absolutely wonderful. I was in for the first time just for an oil change, but they recommended a brake fluid flush at the same time and I wanted to wait so they managed to get it done in short order. They worked very well with me on timing and helping check on some of the items I raised. On top of that, very fair pricing and excellent service. Can't recommend them more!

This review is tricky and mostly applies to anyone as crazy as I am to purchase a used car remotely, sight unseen. I had Eastside Bavarian do an inspection before having the car shipped to me. They were very helpful and knowledgeable, and documented their findings very well in an online report. I was grateful to have a company with such a good reputation inspect the car for me, and they seemed to do a good job inspecting the internal mechanics. They told me upfront they don't do "PPIs", and so would not inspect the exterior, so I understand they didn't tell me about the dings

Straight forward great service with clear indications of "stuff that needs to be fixed now" and "items to worry about later". Service was quick, friendly, fair price (definitely much better than the dealer) and things were done on time.

SO HAPPY to have found Eastside Bavarian in Issaquah! My SUV needed an oil change and routine maintenance, and a search on Yelp steered me to this company. I found their price to be reasonable and I was able to get my vehicle in the same week. I don't know what the turn-around time is because I dropped it off and had a friend take me back to my office.
I've already recommended Eastside Bavarian to two other German auto owners in my office. :)

I took my BMW X6 to Eastside Bavarian based on my neighbor, Jen's recommendation and yelp reviews and they didn't disappoint. From the moment I arrived and told them that my engine warning light was on, they were very quick to run a diagnostic to check everything for me, even though they were booked out all day. I left the car with them and I was conveniently shuttled home.
Ken and Ryan run a good honest shop and I will return to have my other works done after my big trip to Yellowstone. Thanks to all at Eastside Bavarian.

I made an appointment to get my oil changed, and was told it would take an hour. The waiting area and front office is very nice, they even have Cosmo for the ladies to read ;). They got my car in and out within that hour, which was surprising because any place I've been to usually takes 30 min to an hour longer than that!
Ryan was very nice and informative. I told him I was worried about my brakes because they squeak and he came outside with me to look at the brakes himself. Great service here! I will definitely be back for all my VW's needs, probably next to get the brake pads replaced
