Our childrens' lives are precious and time is fleeing. The majority of their time during the day is being invested in getting an education. School should be an environment in which our children should feel safe to enjoy their education and learn to make respectful and trustworthy relationships.
The goal of the Black Belt Journey program is to instill confidence by developing the skill of self defense through the martial arts training in karate, tae kwon do, and jiujitsu.Our objective is to empower your child to overcome the bully's ability to control and harm your child's wellbeing. The Black Belt Journey's vision is to model and teach verbal assertiveness so your child is less likely to become a victim to a confrontation with a bully.

Black Belt Martial Arts Center is hands down the best place to send your child if you’re looking for amazing instructors who honestly love their job. The amount of patience Ms. Shyla and Mr. Reyes have with their students is unbelievable. My daughter began classes with them when she was 3 and her separation anxiety from me was the worst. She went in kicking and screaming at the beginning, but Mr. Reyes calmly worked with her and now she cannot wait to return every week. She is now 4 years old and her confidence has grown in every aspect because of karate.

We highly recommend Black Belt Martial Arts center. Mr. Reyes & Ms. Shyla are the perfect duo & truly care for their students. Our daughter has only been here 2 months, but we are amazed at how much she’s grown. Not only are they teaching self defense, but they teach kindness, respect, and wisdom. We adore how they end each class with a life lesson. They have been a blessing!

The instructor and his team have provided excellent instructions to my two young sons, including my oldest who has some special needs. The instructor was patient, loving and firm in ways that helped him improve. He also communicated very well with us to ensure we were on the same page regarding the specific needs of my children. Through out the pandemic, they also greatly adapted and took precautions while still providing quality instructions. My family is moving to New York soon. We are truly saddened we can’t bring this school with us, so that our boys could continue their black belt journey

Our boys love black belt martial arts! If you want your children to learn discipline, safety, and life skills this is the place for it. You can tell the owners are passionate about what they do.
Our boys have tried other martial arts places in the past and didn’t have much interest. That isn’t the case at Black Belt. Our five and six year old look forward to going. The instructors make the classes fun and educational!
Another bonus - this martial arts center is locally owned! We highly recommend Black Belt Martial Arts Center.

Incredible instructors & staff! We enrolled our 1st child since she was 3 and all the rest of our kids when they reached to age 3 as well. They all absolutely love and enjoy the classes. It helps them to focus and reach their goals of value and life lessons while having fun.
Since COVID happened, our kids are still continuing their classes and still having fun as ever. They offer small groups in person and also zoom classes, I love that we have the options of which ever we are more comfortable with.
We will continue to have our kids in karate for years to come, I would highly recommend everyone

My son have been attending martial arts for 4 months and loves it! He has really improved in his karate skills. He really likes the self defense techniques he has learned. The staff are very professional and truly care about their participants. I would highly recommend this martial arts center!

I started attending here in 2009 as a student. They taught me discipline, how to work well with others in a fun setting. I was able to grow here. The things they taught are the things I still use today. I started teaching there in 2017. Being able to work in a place like this and seeing the kids progress the way they do is amazing. If you are thinking about sending your child here I would 10/10 recommend.
