Services
The Fifth Avenue Acupuncture & Herbs Center is a medical practice specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The director and primary physician of the center is Dr. Feng Liang. Dr. Feng Liang is a MD from China, a New York State Licensed Acupuncturist, and Board Certified Chinese Herbologist.
The Fifth Avenue Acupuncture & Herb Clinic is dedicated to resolving health issues through natural treatments via acupuncture and herbal remedies. We treat patients for a number of health issues including pain conditions, gastrointestinal disorders, women's problems, mens problems, weakened immunity, respiratory disorders, and stress/tension issues.
We present to you videos regarding acupuncture and Chinese herbs. Some of these videos are interviews with Dr. Feng Liang and others are videos that address specific health issues and conditions. The first set of videos below is a 4 part interview of Dr. Feng Liang with Josiane on her TV show. Dr. Liang answers the question "Are there any health conditions that people will be surprised that acupuncture can treat?".
Acupuncture is a technique in which very thin needles of variant lengths are inserted through the skin into acupoints which are located in our body along the energy's pathways called meridians to produce the healing effect. To stimulate those points Chinese medicine believes that they can generate the power and the effect to treat a variety of conditions, illness and disease.
If you are an allergy sufferer, you have most likely used either an over the counter or prescription strength medication to alleviate the symptoms of your allergies. Unfortunately, these medications only provide partial temporary relief and some come with severe enough side-effects to make many consider alternative treatments.

Dr. Liang is so thoughtful and knowledgeable. She healed my migraines that I've suffered with for years. She's helped me with hormonal imbalances and since I am post menopausal she is using acupuncture and Chinese herbs to speed up my metabolism and help me have more energy and hopefully lose weight! I even called her with a terrible toothache and she saw me the next day and used acupuncture to get rid of it right away! If there is something you need that she is unable to do, she will tell you, so I appreciate her honesty. Her office is clean and she is very kind. I recommend her very

A friend told me about Cupping, she has been doing to enhance the appearance of her legs. She swears by it, which of course had me looking for someone near my area. Fifth Av Ac, is centrally located, easily accessible, clean environment and the Doc is caring and understanding. Since cupping, I can honestly say, I hace seen a huge improvement on my legs. I do back and front of the legs, along with acupuncture.
The best, base on your insurance, you will be responsible for your copay, plus a minimal fee, associated with the Cupping.
I'm looking forward to showing off my legs!

I was diagnosed with hyperthyroidism / Graves Disease in September. My symptoms were insomnia, palpitations, hand shaking, overeating, missed period and puffy eyelid. I do see my endocrinologist who put me on meds but started coming to Dr. Feng for treatments. I have to say Dr. Feng has changed my life. Since I started acupuncture and herbal supplements I sleep like a baby, do not have palpations, regular period, do not overeat and my eye is 80% better. At the consultation Dr. Feng broke it down to me on how I have to treat my disease. Told me which foods not to eat and which to eat more

Despite being a non-smoker, I developed lung problems. Each physician I consulted had one remedy only: the prescription pad. While I do take my meds, my energy level was declining and friends advised me to see an herbalist. I have been treated by various Chinese herbalists. One Canal Street practitioner, in particular, was talented and I had good results for a time -- but he offered only one formula. If you had breathing problems, you got the same blend each week; after awhile, your body adjusted and there were diminishing returns.
So I moved on.
Each time, I would have a good experience ---

Dr. Liang rocks! Before I met her, I had consulted several western medicine doctors for an episode of severe headache that incapacitated me for days. I was treated for migraine with imitrex but it did not work at all. My pain was only temporarily relieved with various anti-inflammatory pain killers like Aleve. When the pain eventually subsided from its peak, I went to see more doctors and was only told that they did not really understand what the cause of the problem was. In one conversation, I was told that my symptoms did not fit neatly with any theory she had. It was not a good feeling for me

I had one acupuncture visit and was given herb pills. I cannot judge the success of acupuncture since one visit is not usually enough to treat any condition. I am disappointed about the herbs and the business in general. 3 out of 5 herb bottles i was given were 3-4 years past expiration date (2010 and 2011) but I have not noticed it because there was a hand written sticker on the bottle covering the expiration day so I pretty much finished taking them (they lasted about 4-5 days). When I brought this up to Dr. Liang's attention, her "resolution" was telling me that there is nothing

I had suffered from allergies for many years before I went to Dr. Feng Liang's office. I've used many over the counter allergy medications prescribed by my doctor. None of these worked very well so I had to get allergy shots to control my allergies in the spring and fall. My allergies led to infections in my nose and I had to take antibiotics all the time. I always felt fatigued, had sinus headaches, felt disconnected, would get dizzy occasionally, and I also started feeling sick in my stomach because of all the medications I was taking.

I was tired of taking all those pills and went

I have been seeing Dr Liang for close to 25 years. She came highly recommended by one of NYC's best primary care physicians/cardiologists. A severe digestive problem landed me in the hospital at age 27 and conventional medicine could not take care of my problem. With herbs and acupuncture, Dr Liang helped me get back to good health, I have seen her for different issues on and off since then, most recently for bad perimenopause and menopausal symptoms ie: joint pain, hot flashes, night sweats, insomnia. All have been eradicated with her treatment. I highly recommend Dr Liang.

Acupuncture is a great treatment for pain and muscle injuries and I would highly recommend Dr. Feng Liang of the Fifth Avenue Acupuncture & Herbs Center if you are considering acupuncture to alleviate any pain or injuries you have. A few weeks back, my mind decided to ignore my 50+ year old body and I thought I was Tarzan. I was in the park and tried to jump up to grab the pole holding some swings so that I could do some pull ups. Looked easy enough. The only problem was my hands slipped and I tried to hold on with one hand. All the sudden, I started to hear a lot of popping sounds in my right

Dr. Liang is extremely talented. When I go to her I feel extremely energetic and my aches and pains disappear. When I dont go to her I become sluggish and lethargic.
This woman is a true healer as she understands western medicine but she is much smarter than most doctors you will meet because her knowledge is layered with eastern modalities. She really is the most talented practitioner I have ever met and she cured me of things that I wouldnt even bother bringing to a regular doctor because they only ever prescribe useless medications. Feng Liang is absolutely the best there is in the medical

I've been going to Dr. Liang for a few years now. First she treated my vertigo with needles and herbs. Western doctors had me on 3 gnarly decongestants and they alone made me ill. I found near complete relief within a few months with Dr. Liang. She has also helped me with my hip which I hurt running and my rotator cuff. Basically, everything I've ever needed. She's a Western MD in China so she has knowledge there as well. I've never been disappointed.

As a long time migraine sufferer I have tried it all: eating certain foods, not eating certain foods, sleeping more, sleeping less, over 5 preventative medicines (taken everyday), over 10 onset medications, journaling to find the common thread, massage therapy, and the list goes on. I even tried acupuncture once before which actually gave me migraines. After almost 20 years of suffering with migraines at least 4 times a month (and only being 26) I decided to try acupuncture again but this time with Dr. Liang. From the 1st meeting I knew it was going to be different than the last acupuncturist
