Stefanie is a licensed acupuncturist & esthetician who has worked in wellness for nearly 20 years and founded Gotham Wellness in 2009. She is a graduate of McGill University in Montreal & received her Master's Degree in Acupuncture from the New England School of Acupuncture. She first encountered Chinese Medicine in 1999 while living in Taiwan as a teacher.
Stefanie worked as a research acupuncturist at Massachusetts General Hospital on a number of National Institute of Health funded projects & was the senior acupuncturist and clinical supervisor at Fenway Health, running their Acupuncture for Problem Substance Use program. She was the acupuncturist & Pilates teacher for Palantir Technologies.

I have nothing but great things to say about Gotham Wellness. Stefanie is kind, empathetic, thoughtful, and generous, and made me feel instantly at ease upon meeting her and coming into her space. This was first experience with acupuncture, I was very excited and nervous. Right away meeting Stefanie my nerves went away. She has a calming and positive presence, very knowledgeable and so fun to talk with! She walked me through the process and continuously made sure I was ok and comfortable. Stefanie is the absolute best! I started seeing her a year ago because I was experiencing tightness and pain in my shoulders and neck. Not only has her acupuncture completely relieved me from this pain but it has also helped me stay more in tune with my body. I always look forward to my appointments 2x a month, and sleep so well afterward! She has made several great recommendations with respect to my skincare and sleep routines as well. I went to Stefanie for my first ever acupuncture and she made me feel completely at ease. She explained why and how she was doing what she was and although I started going for one specific issue (back pain), she always starts the session with a check in to understand how I’m feeling and offers suggestions about additional focus areas for the session. Highly recommend Stefanie, especially to acupuncture newbies!

Stefanie is a true healer!!!! I was recommended to her by a friend and within fourteen seconds I knew I'd come to the right person. She's incredibly skilled with acupuncture and a million other things - and able to attune to and read the body in a way that's at once deeply compassionate and also really light and lively. I was very skeptical about trying acupuncture but I was willing to give it a shot. Stephanie came into my life at the right time. I can not believe how good I feel. I told her how nervous I was and she made me feel so comfortable. Stephanie explained the whole process to me and made sure I was comfortable with everything she was doing. Stephanie is amazing! I was in New York on business and hurt my back and was literally debilitated. I could hardly get out of bed, and was in too much pain to bear a taxi ride to an acupuncture location several blocks away. Getting on a plane for the 6-hour flight home to CA was out of the question. Stephanie was referred to me as someone who would come to my hotel. I called, and she came the same afternoon. I agree with all the reviewers on here. Stefanie is so great at relaxing her customers and really spends her time reviewing your medical history and symptoms. She really cares about improving your health and overall well being. This was my first acupuncture session that I tried because I received a discount coupon. I was very curious yet skeptical about it. I probably would have never tried it if I didn't receive the discount. I'm so glad I did though because I really instantly felt better after the session. Overall I just felt better. I was calm yet had energy. It was such a great experience

I used one of two Groupons (a discounted price) and still the 1/2 hour session was useless. I am well versed in the application of Chinese medicine and mostly acupuncture and I didn't even feel energized aside from laying down for the time. I have never had so few needles used and the amount of pain I arrived in hadn't even been addressed, rather ignored. I would NEVER consider using this place again. With all its great attention to its web detail, It certainly lacks skill with a real human contingent. Save your money for a real practitioner.

I went for acupuncture with Stefanie last week and it was a wonderful experience. The space is serene, clean, and just incredibly welcoming and comfortable. Stefanie was warm and professional, immediately putting me at ease, and asking in-depth questions to get a full picture of my health. I didn't necessarily have anything specific I wanted to go in for but enough friends had told me that acupuncture could help you just feel 'better'.
