We stayed for a night because it's close to the Casino Ballroom. We checked in early and were on the 3rd floor. Our keys wouldn't work in the door. We got new keys twice in 10 minutes and then they moved us to a new room of the 1st floor. Keys didn't work there either. They got a very helpful employee, Carl, to let us into our room and told us to come back to the front desk later for yet another set of keys.
Starting promptly at 5pm, the loud, thumping music from the hotel event room literally vibrated our walls.
Fast forward to 9:30 pm when our show at the Casino Ballroom and we were back at

Was really excited to stay at the Ashworth, but it was not at all what I expected. For starters the front desk staff at check in were so unfriendly and seemed like they couldn't be bothered. Then up to the room we went. Now, I understand it's an old hotel, but it was filthy. Ceiling tiles missing, stains on the carpet. The hall to the room smelled awful. The minute we opened the door to our room, we were hit with a strong oder of chlorine and pool chemicals. Everything was dusty and dated. The comforter on the bed was as thin as a sheet. On our way back in for the night I stopped at the

Checkin was at 4pm and we didn't get our room until 6pm. We were one of the lucky ones as some waited until 9:30! Room smelt of wet dog & there was spray cleaner left on surfaces that wasn't even wiped.

It's now 840pm check in time is 4pm and our room is still not ready...very inconvenient considering we are traveling! Finally got our room at 930pm. My wonderful wife had ordered a birthday cake thru them and paid for it in advance to have waiting upon arrival as it's my birthday weekend and guess what? You guessed it....they didn't even do that!

Just checked in and looking forward to getting some rest after long day of travel... Got to our room and the security bar was latched on the inside and no one was inside (I think) I've actually not gotten in yet to verify. This pic is me waiting outside our room stuck in the hallway. So wierd...
Once inside the room it was nice and clean. Bed was comfy and despite the fact this place had been around for a while it was okay.

This place was a dump! It was dirty and disgusting for what we had to spend to stay there. They charge a 20.00 resort fee....not sure what the resort had to offer. We had a 25.00 parking fee. Not needed! After the concert, we went back to our room, the neighbors felt like they were in the same room as us. Loud and obnoxious. Not a great experience at all. The place needs some serious attention! Photos can be provided, if needed.

I called to book a room and talk about pricing. I spoke with a lady who ended up not even working the front desk. She quoted me a price of $88 plus tax minus 10% for AAA. She left out the fees and also left out that you must pay $25 in valet parking because there is no parking. I was in the room for less than 16 hours so I was looking for price over quality. But I ended up paying $142+ on a $88 room minus 10%. Also it's in the beach but off season. I get in the room and it was small but decent. Was a small balcony and that was cool but you can't smoke on it so what's

This was the worst hotel ever. It felt like it had never ever been cleaned since 1950's. The decor is gross. The room was filthy and sheets were gross. The bathroom toilet broke. We had to stick our arm in the back of the toilet to flush it. We came back from breakfast and it overflowed. The view from our room was an alley. It took 45 minutes for our breakfast. The heated pool was freezing. I don't know where they got those photos on their website. It's false advertising. Motel 6 would be an improvement. Parking is so expensive. The beer in the restaurant was warm. I would never stay here again

Did a 3 day 2 night getaway with my family to enjoy some time at the beach. The location was great, room was overall good. Rooms are not cleaned daily and you have to go get towels etc on your own. Pool and pool area was not the cleanest and needs updated.

Our partial ocean view room was plenty large. King bed was comfortable. Pullout sofa bed was one of the old uncomfortable kind with a bad mattress. Bathroom was not bad until we got excess water on the counter and it all dripped off onto toilet paper roll. Shower was fine. We did have mold on the ceilings in a few spots and there was a musty smell to the room.

Didn't stay here but dropped in for dinner while on vacation and it was horrible! The baked haddock was dry, the green beans were cold. The baked potato was ok, but really, how do you mess up a baked potato. The manage came to the table and asked if we wanted a free dessert, ummm, no! $81 dinner and I ended up getting Boardwalk fries because I was still hungry!

We stayed two nights July 30th - August 1st. The valet workers were awesome and took our car right away. We arrived early around 12 and they allowed us to check in. We were on the south side of the building on the third floor (307). The room had minor imperfections, but a nice king sized bed and awesome balcony! They had live music on Saturday and it was AMAZING!! We were able to watch right from the balcony and it was an amazing time! Every time I interacted with the front desk staff they were friendly and very helpful! They are currently working on parts of the building so there was some work

I I could give it a 0 stars I would. I meet some friends for dinner I was told it could be 45 minute wait. I was okay with that. 1 an hour later we got seated! With in 20 minutes they took our dink order and bought out of beverages. So we talked chit-chat while we waited.. 1 hour went by we still haven't given our order. We ended up walking out and leaving... it was the worst experience I've ever experienced.. I wouldn't stay there let alone eat dinner there again!

The location is perfect and the valet guy was great. We were in the second building and it was being remodeled but it was very run down. The room smelled moldy and was very tiny, although the bed was comfortable. The TV gets a 10 because it was huge for the room.

I understand that they are remodeling but to charge us full price when we walked up stairs with half ripped up rugs and debris in places was very disappointing.

Love the area but we won't be back to this place.

Horribly dirty and run down. From the 1st room smelling like cigarette smoke, brown water in the sink, to the bugs in the bed it was horrible. 2nd room had black mold in the shower, dead bug on the floor, stains on the carpet and wall. Front desk person was not apologetic at all. At least the General Manager seemed to care.

Recently stayed for four nights. Two of the nights consisted of carpet replacement on our floor and right outside the door. Smell was horrible and no notification from the management staff. Speaking of staff, no one explained at check in that there was no housekeeping or what the protocols were. Upon is asking we were told to bring our dirty towels down to the front desk. I understand COVID ramifications but when paying almost $400/night one might think there would be a more efficient way of handling dirty towels. Staff at front desk seem irritated to be asked anything. And paying $25/day for a

This hotel needs some work. Pool is murky. When we went to put our leftovers in the mini fridge in our room there was someone else's leftovers. Only one person at the front desk no one to come clean out our fridge for our leftovers so they will go bad. The entire hotel smells like cigarettes really badly. Ultimately this is probably one of the oldest hotels in the areas as we are in the Ashworth side. The staff in the hotel and restaurants here definitely make the stay much more enjoyable.

Very disappointed. I came here to relax and enjoy myself. I called ahead to make sure the pool was open and I figured I could swim during my stay. That was a mistake. I entered the pool area and found it quite chilly. I also tested the water and found it also to be cold.
The bottom line if you're going to advertise that the pool is open, it should be usable. I will not be back.

It is so refreshing to be welcomed and still have safety measures followed in 2020! I loved our stay at Ashworth. We found a Groupon and needed a break so a girls trip was just what we needed. The hotel itself is right on the beach. Many of the rooms have an ocean view. This historic hotel opened in 1912 is no fossil. It is well maintained and updated. There are 2 restaurants on site. We enjoyed breakfast every day at the Wharfside Cafe. Reynaldo made us an omelet fit for a queen with a delicious order of French toast. You must enjoy a nice breakfast here it's worth it. Our room was spacious

We arrived early and got our room and we got no towels at all and the curtains in the room don't close all the way and it's my second time I stayed here. This time I was not impressed paying $209. Not including $15.00 vacation tax and $20 fee for parking valet.
The rooms are nice but wished they got rid of the dust on the bed lamp (sleeping next to it made me sneeze.
Staying one night and my son thinks the only good thing was the pool.

I have stayed here in the past and had a great experience. I expected more from the cleaning and sanitation end during this pandemic, especially for the price I paid each night.
The room was not clean at all. Especially the bathroom. The sink had hair in it and the tub had dirt on the outside. The shelf where the towels were kept was dusty as was the bathroom door, like it hasn't been wiped in months.
Not acceptable especially in a pandemic. The place should have been spotless. And they are not offering housekeeping during your stay
There was a pile of dirty used towels outside a door across

This is one of the nicer hotels on Hampton Beach- which isn't saying much but really wanted a good hotel & this seemed to be the nicest hotel on ocean Blvd. Everything was new in the room and we did have a partial ocean view.

We stayed for 2 nights and paid a whopping $702 to be awoken every morning around 7:30 by what sounded like jack hammering! Great way to wake up on your vacation- NOT. When I mentioned it to the woman upon checkout she didn't seem to care AT ALL. LIKE NOT WHAT I would have wanted at all! I would have forfeited the partial ocean view to escape that god forsaken

So a months ago I booked a two nights stay. When I booked we were under the impression with COVID-19 things were getting better. My wife and I wanted to spend our 20 year wedding anniversary. Recently states started rising again with COVID-19, NH is one of those states. With my given health of having a compromised immune system we decided I couldn't risk it. So there was an option where you could request a cancellation and they have the option not to charge the one nights cost of a room rate $296.10. However after the request they decided to be greedy and keep it and deny the one nights stay

I didn't care much for this place. We pretty much came during off season and it was still expensive. That's fine, back it up then. I was expecting something newer or more up to date. The room at a quick glance looked cozy but everything felt dirty. My bf and I kept joking that everything was hospital-like. The toiletries were cheap and the pillows looked like it was some cotton inside one of those produce bag that you find at a grocery store. And there was that time where my cellphone fell into the cracks of the sofa and so I had to lift the cushion to retrieve it. You guys..
