We are beyond thrilled to have these restrictions officially lifted. We are grateful that Michigan is showing signs of recovery. Still, for the safety of our staff, clients, and pets alike, to comply with OSHA and the CDC, our building will remain closed at this time, with only essential staff allowed inside.
We are happy to resume these services and continue offering concierge curbside care for all patients and continue contact-less pick-up for refilled prescription medications and foods! We are proud of our staff for how hard they have been working these past 8 weeks to make curbside service go as smoothly as possible for clients, our patients, and our doctors!

We were only in town for a couple of days and our Dachshund had an infected paw / nail bed that needed attention. They were able to squeeze us in and see our pup the day we called. The medicine they gave him is working wonderfully and we couldn't be more pleased. They were super friendly and thorough with their explanations. We also thought their pricing was very reasonable.
Thank you so much!!

I cannot say enough good things about the vets and staff at Lane Animal Hospital. Everyone has always treated my dogs with such love and care, I've never doubted they were in good hands. A couple of my dogs have had hip dysplasia and one recently passed from cancer. The vets were always open about different treatments available and supportive of the treatments I chose. I never felt pressured into options I couldn't afford. Plus my dogs are always so excited to go there - that was not the case at our previous vet.

Staff is very friendly. I like the fact that they are very close to my house. Short commute for my cat/dogs for vet appointments. Prices are very high compared to other veterinarian locations. (They are in a very nice brick & mortar building.) Wait times for an appointment are typically not too long.

Our family has used Lane Animal Hospital for 25+ years - we have had positive experiences with all vets on staff. Special thanks today to Dr. Holly and vet tech Brandy for being kind and compassionate as it was a hard day for our family and our cat Ed, who was able to "cross the rainbow bridge" peacefully with their care. Thank you LAH!

Lane Animal Hospital has it all: Kindness, compassion, professionalism, patience, and a reassuring willingness to answer all pet parent questions. You never feel like you and your fur babies are being rushed, and you have confidence in knowing that your precious pets are getting the very best care possible. Five stars aren't enough; they should get ten.

I just moved to Chelsea, from the Washington DC area where there are hundreds of vet choices. I admit I was a bit concerned that there were so few vets around here. My concerns vanished after I brought two of my dogs to Lane. The sensitivity, professionalism, and expertise are top notch. I look forward to years of care offered by Lane vets and techs.

I love going in here and seeing everybody's happy smiling faces including the pets and their moms and dads. Everyone here is so friendly and the vets are very experienced and do a wonderful job. I can't say enough good things about them.
There is ample parking in their private lot and they will help you if you need it or if your pet needs assistance. They have a huge waiting room and the staff is very nice and friendly. They always have several people working all at once because they're so busy but they are never too busy to take care of your loving pet!!

My wife and I have been taking our dog to Lane Animal Hospital since we brought her home back in December 2017. We have an English Bulldog, so I wanted a vet that had experience with the breed.
I spoke with staff members at several other vet offices, and no one could really quantify that they had experience with Bulldogs. Then I went to LAH and they were able to tell me how many Bulldogs they have on their roster, and they recommended Dr. Margaret Lane because she has the most experience with Bulldogs.
Each of the staff members my wife and I have worked with have all been very friendly, as well

I loved working with Amy the groomer but the reception staff here was awful. I've been there with my dogs at least 6 times now and almost every visit has some ridiculous experience to go with it dealing with the receptionists.
My dogs see another vet. Well my first visit, Lane didn't ask for vaccine proof so I didn't think to bring them but had no issues. On my second visit, spoke to a girl (I think named Megan?) who was SUPER rude about not having vaccine proof. My mistake for not knowing the drill yet but her attitude was really nasty.
Now every visit to my vet, we get records

This is a nice facility and everyone who works there is very nice. The frustration from me and what I've gathered from other pet owners is that every time we bring our pet in in they " need" MULTIPLE shots. If I choose not to give my pet a unnecessary zillionth booster shot- they won't let the pet be groomed there.
Long story short, I found another place in town that charges 1/2 the price for my pet to be groomed and we are very happy with them.
Also, it is difficult to walk out if Lane without a gigantic bill- as well. Just do your research before you decide on a doctor

This used to be my go to vet hospital, I'd gone here for nearly 40 years. Old doc lane was wonderful and docs tremper and bower. But the new regime has only one thing on their minds. Making money. They will not take your pet if you can not pay right then. And the fees are crazy. And they will suggest the most expensive way to work on your pet, one that didn't fix the problem but makes it so you have to keep coming back for more surgeries or treatments. I moved to dr marsh in Ann Arbor, she honestly cares more about the creature you bring in than how much money this is going to generate

I have been bringing dogs to Lane Animal Hospital for the past five years. Every doctor I've consulted during that time has been attentive and caring towards my dogs, and patient with my questions. For reference, I have two large dogs, one of which has had joint issues since she was a puppy. The other has severe allergies. Both of these issues can be extremely costly to manage. The doctors at Lane have told me my options but have also respected my choices about the intensity of care we are able to commit to. Just great doctors and staff!

We've taken our dogs and cats to LAH ever since we moved to Chelsea in 2001 and have never regretted it. Back in 2012, we took our aging and ailing mixed-breed in to have a tumor that was severely restricting her mobility examined. Even though Abbey was 17 years old, Dr. Bower thought that she would benefit from surgery to remove the mass. I will be forever grateful for those last few months of active love I got to share with her.
LAH came to the rescue again in December 2016, when our Mini Aussie suffered a vicious attack. In this case, Dr. Lane sent us straight to the Emergency Vet Hospital

We recently moved to the area and needed to find a vet for our 10 year old cat, who needs a superficial tumor removed from his stomach. We arrived for our appointment, and were immediately brought back into a room - no waiting! Dr. Lane promptly came in and was great with our cat, and very reassuring about his upcoming procedure. He took as much time as was necessary to answer our questions and assuage any concerns we had. He was with us for the entire visit, and even called the following Monday himself to give us updates on test results. In other vet offices, we have been shuffled around

We've taken our dog and two cats here for years and are very happy with the service and treatment they receive. Our dog recently had some health issues and Dr. Lane saw him on an emergency basis. Afterwards, she called us with updates while she was travelling on vacation.
The staff is helpful and friendly, even when it looks to be very busy. Having come from another office in Ann Arbor, we were pleased with an upgrade in service with Lane.

Competent and sympathetic care for my pet.
But squirrelly hours ("we're open until 4:30, but if there is not an appointment we go home early") mean you have to phone ahead even to purchase supplies.
Also petty nickel-and-dime pricing -- $3 extra charge for "medical waste disposal" because my pet pooped in her carrier! Many pets do. It's a vet clinic, that cleanup is a standard part of doing business
