I'm working on my 3rd year here so decided to update my rating. Things were pretty bad when Kara was manager but things are better now. The office staff is really friendly and caring. We've had to call maintenance way too much lately but each time we've called our issues were fixed in a timely fashion. The last time it was over our heat not working, the manager stopped in to bring us a heater while it was being fixed and the head maintenance man tried all day into the night to fix it although he wasn't supposed to be on overtime. How many other places do you think would stick their neck out for

After reading all these comments I am no longer surprised I'm in the situation I'm in. Just a warning ⚠️ read through and have them explain your entire lease every time you resign your lease. And make sure they write it up exactly how you asked for it. Not sure if they are incompetent or shady.. Don't have it taped to your door due to covid-19 or convenience. Every stipulation will be used against you. I do not recommend this place. Every bad review I agree with. It's hard to get out once you live here. Their 2200$ check is in the mailbox and I am free.

I've rented from a variety of places in my life so far, I stayed at Conklin for almost two years. The worst renting experience of my life. The first month I moved in there was a gun discharged in the building I was in. You can here absolutely everything in the entire building, cupboard doors, someone using the restroom, literally everything. I have had mail stolen.
There is NOTHING good I can say about this place because it is even overpriced.

As far as apartments go in this town, they are the nicest. They raise their prices every year when you renew to match prices comparable to Ann Arbor. They have strict “rules” about curfew, coming and going between 10-6, this isn’t a gated community nor an elder person community. They leave passive aggressive notes all the time taped to your door, even when it has nothing to do with you. They never update any appliances, even after years of living there, but expect you to pay 1k a month. They constantly have a new person who works as the Leasing consultant and they are 9/10 not nice ladies

I used to live here and they were incredibly rude. Did not care about people's well-being, came into my apartment while I was home without knocking, made me take down my planter which caused zero harm to the building and only made it easier for my plants to get sun and made my balcony look nicer, and I heard they raised rent during the pandemic. Overall, I think this is a terrible place and no one should ever live here. Seriously reconsider if you thought about moving here. I wish I could give negative stars.

I love living at Conklin Estates. Not only are my neighbors super nice, but the staff in the office and the maintenance staff are all amazing and kind people. I love the email updates I receive from the complex and the way they have handled the COVID-19 crisis is nothing short of both professional and caring. My experience here has been extremely welcoming and I can't say enough great things.

Terrible place to live. Nothing to do, no pool, no gym, one swing which is off limits. You will notice a massive bump going in to the apartment from the one side which has caused suspension problems for 2 vehicles. Apartments look nice from the outside but it's not updated and it's only 27 inch doorways which are a pain. No air conditioning other than extremely noisy and old wall unit that only cools off the living room. People that live there generally are nice and quiet but there's been 4 incidents where peoples cars been broken into so that's not good. The lady that's heavy set in the office

Lived here for a year after living in another property own by the same company, for three years. Good place to live, stays clean and everyone in the office is very friendly and able to work with you.
Only recommendation is if you don't like bugs, stay away from the tree line. It isn't too bad, but had to kill a few extra bugs because of the forest behind the backside of the apartments. If that's your only option though, I still recommend living here, just put some moth bugs and extra bug killer by the windows/sliding door.

My husband, daughter and I love living here. Danielle was such a great help getting us moved in, she is so nice. The cleaning staff are friendly, they say hi when we walk by them. Our neighbors are friendly too. Our dog loves the bark park and I cannot wait to take my daughter to the playground and on walks when it gets warmer. We enjoy the little contests they have every so often, they are fun! They do a good job at keeping the sidewalks clear and the parking lot plowed in the winter. I would recommend Conklin Estates to friends and family.
