16th Street Acupuncture
Just recently Acupuncturist Samantha Yurkosky was interviewed twice on MTV Live with Mike Kelton. She walked Mike through a Acupuncture and cupping session. You can watch those videos here! Expertise looked at 1,791 Acupuncturists serving New York City and Picked 16th Street Acupuncture as a Top Pick for Reputation, Credibility, Experience, Availability and Professionalism.

Erika Weber is a New York State licensed Acupuncturist, and a Nationally Board Certified NCCAOM Diplomat. She was trained at Tri-State College of Acupuncture (TSCA), Acupuncture Physical Medicine (APM), Kiiko Matsumoto Style Acupuncture (KM-modern Japanese acupuncture), and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).
Services
16th Street Acupuncture is a dynamic practice conveniently located in the Flatiron District offering a variety of services in both acupuncture, massage, and other holistic treatments. We specialize in Trigger Point Therapy, Electro Stim, TCM and Japanese style acupuncture.

The practice revolves around dancers, athletes, and people who have other repetitive strain injuries that can come from things as simple as sitting at a desk improperly or the stress of daily life in an urban environment. We also treat systemic issues such as infertility, IBS, gynecological issues, migraines, TMJ, etc. with great results!.
Appointments will be spaced out to allow for adequate time to disinfect all surfaces between patients. Patients will be asked to come to the appointment by themselves unless absolutely necessary (you need assistance or have a young child, eg.). Patients will be asked to cancel their appointment if they experience any of the following symptoms.
Disharmony can occur when any aspect of our being is over- or underutilized. Stress, sleep patterns, and other information point to the sources of what we refer to as a person's "pattern of disharmony." Understanding the root of the problem helps us treat symptoms with Manhattan acupuncture, bodywork, lifestyle changes (including exercise), new dietary guidelines, and/or herbal therapy.
Cupping is an Ancient treatment used to help muscles and increase blood flow. Cupping is great for improving athletic performance, increasing flexibility and range of motion. We offer an array of holistic services including acupuncture, massage, cupping, washa and herbal consultations that aid in allowing our clients to live their best lives.
Erika manages to pair professionalism with true empathy. As a patient, I know I can tell her anything about my health and she will - in a non-judgmental manner - help me address my concerns. Erika Weber and her 16th Street Acupuncture practice offer amazing health and wellbeing services. Using Traditional Chinese Medicine, she treats an array of health conditions.

I cannot say enough good things about Erika and 16th Street Acupuncture. Erika is a true HEALER. I came to Erika suffering from debilitating Long COVID conditions. Out of all the acupuncturists I reached out to in the city (I believe it was about 15) Erika called me right away was the most caring, honest and kind. I am phobic of needles and Erika coached me through the entire process, was compassionate and knew intuitively what I needed. She meets clients where you are at and is extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She not only has an intuitive sense of healing but has years of training and expertise

I have been coming here for over a year now and I LOVE this place!!!!!
Initially, I visited Erika for lower back pain and felt a lot of anxiety in my life at the time. Erika not only helped me with my back pain with acupuncture and cupping but helped me start communicating better with my own body.
She is so kind, an excellent listener and very attuned to how her patients are feeling. At the beginning of each visit she asks me how I'm sleeping, eating, etc. and truly takes her time for me to feel special, heard, and satisfied with my visit. I always feel super grounded and calm after each session

I have been fortunate to meet Erika through a coworker about 9 years ago and now I schedule my appointments for months at a time. If you have any issues with back problems, sore muscles, over training, hormones, you name it- I can guarantee that Erika and her team at 16th street acupuncture will leave you feeling better. Every time I leave my appointment, I feel relaxed and completely renewed. I've been a consistent client at 16th Street Acupuncture for the past six months. I'd suffered persistent upper back/shoulder pain due to poor posture, being a grad student, working a desk job, and being an overall wound-up New Yorker. Exercise, physical therapy, and medication only provided slight relief. As a needle-averse individual, I hesitantly tried acupuncture as a last resort. To my surprise, I didn't find it painful whatsoever. Over time, a combination of acupuncture, cupping, and gua sha has significantly improved my mobility and reduced my pain.

I'm treated by Erika

This place was very good a few years ago.
But now it's hard to book. Maybe because they are busy but also the hours and days they actually book appointments is very limited.
Too bad.

Had a pinch in my neck for months from some bad snow in Vermont. I guess I am getting old.

The staff here really helped me work out what I thought was going to be a lifelong problem based on other results (or lack thereof).

Happy to say these guys are top notch and did too good a job as my neck is better- but will definitely go again when something else in my human machine needs maintaining.

Erika Weber knows how to work magic! She goes beyond the acupuncture part of the treatment - she's above all caring and focused on "what's going on with you" which make her sessions uniquely client centered - doesn't hurt that she has the professional training/background and experience to know what she's doing (feel free to google her to find out what she's all about) - I wasn't a believer of acupuncture before as I have more of a western approach to my self-care needs but 16th acupuncture has proved me wrong. Acupuncture truly works! TRY IT!

Erika is an amazing acupuncturist. I had my first appointment with her this past Monday, and had a wonderful experience. I have a very complicated situation going on in my back, and Erika was very patient and understanding, and talked through all of my issues because she really wanted to understand what was going on and figure out how she could help. Her treatment was very helpful. I had a reduction in the pain I was feeling in my spine, and noticed in yoga class the next day that I was moving better and able to access areas that were frozen for several weeks before. In addition to needles, she

This is the first time I've ever experienced Acupuncture and it was delightful! Yup, I t Acupuncture it's like you'v left Manhattan all together, it's an oasis. The space is so calming and inviting you're immediately relaxed. My session was with Erika and she did everything she could to make sure I was comfortable. She asked questions and explained everything she did as she did it so I understood what was going on. I was so comfortable on her table that I fell asleep with all of the little needles in place. This treatment set the tone for my week and I look forward to

Samantha was one of the very first acupuncturists I tried when I was dealing with nerve pain down my arm due to slipped disc and fatigue. She has been with me throughout my entire journey of healing and has provided excellent care, feedback, and treatments all along the way. I honestly don't know what I would have done without her back then, and it's wild to think about how immobile I was then and how I'm basically 10000% ok now. Nerve pain is a very terrifying thing to deal with (as is any bodily injury), and having Samantha as my practitioner definitely allowed me to relax and

Erika took her time explaining the process and made me feel very comfortable before we got started. The treatment was excellent, and I felt immediate relief.

I had torn ligaments in my foot, among a few other issues. I have been to several acupuncturist in the past and Erika is exceptional. She took her time, asks questions, gave me great advice, and really helped. Her touch is amazing! I couldn't even feel the needling until it hit the nerve and she knew exactly which nerve to hit. Acupuncture can help your body heal so much, and Erika knows exactly how to treat you and what to work. She is the truth and carries the light. Erika and her team at 16th Street Acupuncture are life savers -- literally and figuratively.

I have been getting acupuncture there for a few years and I always leave feeling better than when I walked in. There's nothing better than walking in where you're greeted with a warm smile, clean and relaxing environment, and knowledgeable professionals. This place is great for the busy NYers who need to escape the madness to repair/heal not only the physical but mental and emotional. I appreciate 16th Street Acupuncture for all of the great work they do while delivering it with pristine customer

I was in New York on business and suffering from a herniated disc between my C6 and C7 vertebrae. The pain and numbness were immense. A friend insisted I try acupuncture and asked Erika at 16th Street if she could squeeze me in. She was very accommodating and I saw her the next morning.

The practice is in a beautiful building-an old church Parrish house. The office was clean, nice and calm. The acupuncture experience was fantastic. It is the most relaxed I have been in a long time and all the muscles around the disc, shoulder and affected right arm completely relaxed. I felt great. The muscle

Preface: I am a medical student in the USA, so I am naturally skeptical of alternative therapies and other non-empirical-based healing traditions.

That said, thank God for 16th Street Acupuncture and, specifically, Samantha. I had never gotten acupuncture before but I had seen 3 doctors (2 of whom were specialists) for a gastrointestinal issue going on 1.5 years now. They were unable to help me, so I read about acupuncture as helpful for my issue and headed over here. Samantha listened attentively, took the time to explain everything to me, and went slowly because I was a big old baby about getting

What I really appreciate is that they will explain everything to you and appreciate you asking questions - I've worked with Samantha and she is very passionate about her craft. They use packaged needles so health and safety is guaranteed.

After just a few visits im already seeing

When you first enter Erika's office you are greeted by candles, calm music and a relaxing atmosphere. The space almost makes you forget that New York City is one floor below you. Her bedside manner and needling style help to put you at ease, and this in turn helps your body relax (as we all know, relaxation is necessary for healing). She has helped me deal with issues ranging from anxiety to pain and digestive upset. I'd recommend her services to anyone whose body and mind could use a break from the stresses of modern city life.
