The hotel room was dirty. And I don’t mean a little dust. The mattress box spring looked like it had been vomited on. The towels had stains. The floor was sticky. There was something on the ceiling. Top of the stay? I found a full grown bed bug and the arrogant manager just said “oh huh, we’ll did you get bit?”. Do NOT stay here. 10 out of 10 do not recommend.

Aptel is the best value in Anchorage for long term lodging (as of Summer '21) and has clean apartment style rooms. It attracts both locals in between houses as well as tourists but the clientele is pretty respectful as a whole.
The only downside is the location. Being on eastside its a little ways outside of the city center as well as any of Anchorage's hotspots. If you are looking for a good value and don't mind a bit of driving, Aptel is going to be a good fit for you.

I was booking on Aug.11,2021 around 2-3pm.
I was contact them the day after. Not even close to 24 hours. (Aug.12,2021 at 10am.-11am.) I try to call couple time. They did not answer.
Because I have emergency. I need to change a plans. I have to cancel my fight ticket. I would like to speak with the manager we can change the date and I can plans for later or get a refund but no one answer the called.

This place is newer built. We went here late at night and the security guard let us in. Just had to call to let them know we were coming.
There was a microwave, a stove and a full fridge! The only downside was that the sink was not in the same room as bathroom. First good night sleep I had since being here in Alaska. Not as noisy in the morning.

Listed online as a 2-star accommodation. It should be a 4-star at least. Wonderful room, great accommodations, very helpful staff who assisted me with getting my room on very short notice. Government rate, tax exempt, $49 per night for a 2 Queen studio apartment. Very secure and has onsite coin op laundry.

The hotel was clean, the room was nicely equipped with comfortable beds, a mini kitchen and a clean and updated bathroom design. We used this as a place to essentially clean up and sleep each night before long fun-filled AK activities. We appreciated being able to easily change the heat/cooling. Plenty of parking.

Overall this was an ok place to stay, we were looking for a place to sleep and not much else and it met that expectation.
Our room was rather musty, it smelled like wet dog but wasn't too unbearable that we had to ask to move rooms, we just opened the window every once in a while to air it out. The front desk hours are also weird, I've never been to a hotel that has a front desk that closes, thankfully we had read the insert in the room about having everything ready for checkout when we checked in so that we knew it was ok to leave with no one at the desk. Maybe a heads up verbally at

I booked 2 rooms for 3 people on Jan 29 for Aug 5 to Aug 7th. At 8pm on Aug 3rd while we were in Denali National park I received an email that the manager cancelled our rooms due to over booking. Leaving us stranded as every hotel in Anchorage was booked out. I guess booking over 6 months in advance they couldn't manage our booking. It was a total embarrassment to let our overseas guest see how poor the service is.

We were traveling from California to Alaska, having booked Aptel Studio Hotel 2 months before the trip, this was supposed to be our first stop for an one week long trip but these guys cancelled on us without any prior communication. We tried to talk to supervisor but hotel gaurd told us that manager has told us how to handle these kind of situations insisting he can not call her. Finally, when he called the manager, she replied that they can not ask you to call someone in the middle of the night and sounded ridiculously arrogant. I wish there was an option of giving 0 star on Yelp.

We stayed for ten nights back towards the end of September/beginning of October. I think there were two employees the whole time who weren't completely rude and unhelpful. When we checked in, the girl handed us our key and said, "There you go." and that was it. Didn't even tell us how to get to our room. Didn't offer to tell us anything at all.
