Since they like to delete comments I thought I would write a review. My family went here to eat tonight like we have done many times. My daughter actually really loves cross parks. Tonight we waited for our… food for a long time. Tables sat after us were served and almost done eating before we were served. Our waitress was young so probably newer. She didn’t come to talk to us after we got our soups and appetizer. We watched her go to other tables many times. Our food finally came and we asked for refill on our drinks which we received about 20 minutes later when we pretty much done

Server was friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered the prime rib, and it was cooked perfectly. The server checked on me multiple times, and the to-go cheese steak sandwich I also ordered was brought out at an appropriate time, and was completely delicious when I warmed it up the following day.
Desserts looked amazing, but the dinner completely filled me up and then some.
Bathroom was clean and fresh smelling, as well as having a wheelchair accessible stall.

If I could leave no stars I definitely would. Tonight we went out to eat with my sister in law. The waitress was rude from the very beginning. Apparently the blonde waitress was taking all of her tables and she told us we are the last table she's serving and she's walking out. I felt bad for her honestly. Then when we weren't done ordering, she walks away. I'm like ok that's fine everyone has bad days. She got us our food and then never came back to check on us. Was here yesterday after a 5 Hour drive from downstate. I showed up at around 5:00 (they close at 7:00 on Sundays). I used to frequent this place when I lived in the area 15 years ago. I originally thought they were short staffed because I saw two waitresses and nobody at the register and then I eventually did see an older man taking the checks so there really is no excuse for the poor service and barely acceptable food ordered. Apparently there is no seating order, you just walk in and sit wherever you like and whomever takes your order is a gamble. At least it was in my instance. One waitress

Poor service. Waited 20 minutes on a Sunday morning at 10:30 am for the waitress to take our order. She took three other tables orders that showed up after us. Food is decent but it's not worth the wait. Canal side has better food and service for breakfast. I'm normally understanding but this was just poor service.

Stop cross contaminating food and blaming customers for their staffs f**k up. I ended up in the hospital due to an allergic reaction because the cooking staff didn’t follow through with cleaning properly when… asked about items being cooked due to food allergies. I was blamed for the cooking staff cross contaminating my food because they failed to clean their area properly and wash their hands properly when my food allergies were made known. I will never recommend this restaurant to anyone because the owner John refuses to take responsibility for his cooking staff and their actions

Ordered Father's Day Dinner from this establishment and it turned out to be the worst idea ever. Called them to say I wanted to return everything and get a full refund. I was told not to worry about bringing the food back and to call the owner John Monday morning. I called Monday and left a message for John but as of now, 7:45pm, no call back. Obviously I wasted over 30 dollars on skimpy portions and undesirable food. I'll try Main Street next time.

Family diner located in the heart of Newark. Went here for breakfast with my boyfriend and we had a great experience. The food was hot and fresh. Service was great. Prices are reasonable and they offer specials too. The pancakes were delicious. There is plenty of seating. Menu is pretty extensive and something for everyone.

It's a family restaurant. It says so in the name. If you go there and order prime rib instead of going to a steak house for prime rib, maybe you are the problem. Yelp is not a Michelin rating service here. It's Newark, NY, not Paris. Ate there yesterday on our way back to Rochester from antiquing in the area. It was excellent, great service, we had a fun and funny but not overly solicitous waitress, great food. Portions were good-sized, the waitress made good suggestions. Beer was cold, fries were good. The restroom was very clean.
