I'm torn between 3 and 4 stars, but giving benefit of the doubt. Staff was exceptionally polite and courteous - everyone. The room was a great value and had a lovely initial feel as we walked in. It's right on the water and the views are breathtaking.
It's clearly an old building, and the interior condition could use some love - fit and finish was a bit rough! My biggest complaints were probably specific to our room (201). There was loud music from our time of checkin (4ish) until 10ish at night from the restaurant directly downstairs - definitely a bit of a bummer! The other issue

I recently stayed at Spindrift Inn at it was amazing! I will definitely return. The room was so beautiful and the views were fantastic! I stayed on my birthday and the hotel staff wrote a birthday note and gave me a rose and chocolates how sweet is that ! The staff was so professional and kind I felt like queen the perks of bedside breakfast and robes were an extra touch that goes a long way

Let me tell you this place has a Give star rating from the start with my reservation to the stay!
Staying here for mine and my husbands 18th anniversary. Let me list how great this place is
1. Raymondo met us as we pulled up with a snails and welcomed my husband and I! He helped unload our bags and advised we were here and headed in before us!
2. Our bags were taken to our room while we checked in and were greeted at the desk by two ladies with the biggest smiles and welcoming feel!
3. Stephanie advised me that all I had asked for and the gift for my husband had been delivered and placed

Well, what can I say...we were REALLY disappointed with our stay.
For one, none of the staff were wearing masks. Honestly, coming from the field I work in, it was a huge disappointment that they were not compliant with federal recommendations to help slow the spread of COVID in an indoor setting. We are not out of the woods yet and this made my husband and I both uneasy upon arrival.
Second let down: When we asked for our car to go out on the town, on several occasions, there was only one valet working despite the hotel being very busy. It took way too long to get my car, to the point where we

The property itself is quant and beautiful. You feel like
you stepped back to a time of character and class. The
bay window was my favorite spot to watch the sunrise
and the ocean beam with life. The staff was very nice
and accommodating the entire stay. We forgot to put
out our breakfast request but they filled it anyway!

I have stayed at this hotel about 4 times. The location can not be beat. Breakfast and an evening wine tasting is included. My only negative is that the breakfast is not delivered timely and the staff does not wear masks. I know that in Monterey Co masks are optional inside, however, I would feel more comfortable if masks were worn by staff.

I have stayed at this wonderful hotel many times over the last 30 years. I have recommended it to many people.. always have had a wonderful stay over the years until the last one. I arrived at the hotel on June 8, 2021 for a two night stay. I had a partial ADA room which was lovely until I tried to get into bed for the night. The mattresses had been upgraded to a taller one which was a challenge to get into for a short person with a bad knee. I couldn't even sit on the bed, because the mattress was taller than my hind end. The hotel did not have a step stool or a room with a shorter

Absolutely gorgeous ocean views! The sound of waves! Ocean front rooms. However the hotel can use remodeling , my room was very dingy, chairs were soiled and old. Really needed a paint job and new furnishings. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Oh and the complimentary breakfast was awesome!

We arrived early, around 1:30 pm, check in is at 4 pm. We left our bags and explored Cannery Row for a while until we were called around 3 pm , that our room was ready. There is an elevator and stairs outside. The door from the stairs requires your room key to enter the building. You can also take the stairs to the roof where they have some lounge chairs and sets of tables and chairs.

We recently stayed here for 3 nights and had a great experience. We did not experience any issues, except we couldn't figure out how to turn on the fireplace. As soon as we called the front desk, someone came to our room within 5 minutes to help us. Very calm and nice atmosphere. The wifi could be better, I was working during the day and did experience a little delay with my video calls, but not too big of a deal. Our room had an amazing view (4th floor). Having Lalas next-door was the cherry on top. We will be back!

This hotel is located on Cannery Row and is in very short walking distance to restaurants and shops! There is valet parking, and when we arrived, someone from the hotel was out there within a couple minutes to unload our bags.

The wife and I came to celebrate our anniversary and for a nice weekend away. We had never been here before but we will definitely make the Spindrift our go-to inn whenever we stay in Monterey. It's a quiet and quaint spot that is in a perfect location of Monterey. The friendliness of the staff adds to the warmth of the inn.

Thank you to the staff for making the stay very welcomely and comfy. Enjoyed the view of the room. Thank you for your front desk staff and your other staff who greets when we come in and make us feel notice. The area is nice, stores and restaurants near by. Also the beach is a plus just in front of the hotel and around the corner. Listening to the ocean and seeing it made me feel lost and relaxing.

I had a lovely stay at the Spindrift Inn in Monterey during Covid in the month of Oct . I was greeted with a warm smile and felt incredible safe during my stay . You were required to wear a mask and they limit the number of individuals in the elevator . There was a special surprise in my room with a hand written card for my birthday . Monterey wasn't crowded at all and the hotel staff was super accommodating to all my requests . The rooms are very spacious and my favorite part of the hotel other than the comfy bed was the bay windows that overlook the cannery or you can opt for an ocean view

I think the location of this hotel is very good. It's located on Canary row next to bars and restaurants. The beach is incredible and views are romantic. We took a walk after dinner and could see waves at the beach along with full moon shining on the surface.
It's located next to a big public parking which is very accessible and at a walking distance. The hotel has an antique theme going on but sheets were clean. Bathroom had a small sauna. Everything is well kept and maintained. I would recommend the rooms with beach view or Canary row view. Overall it's good place for couples
