I am trying to buy a house listed by Horizon Realty. One would think that they would want me to give them my business. However, that isn't the case. Hattie did call, and gave me a phone number to reach her later as she was driving at the time. I repeated each number after she gave them to me, and then repeated the entire phone number to confirm that I had it down correctly. She confirmed it.

Warning/Beware/STAY AWAY!
If I could give this organization a negative rating I would. There were many warning signs in regards to this organizations issues from the beginning I should have heeded them but was in need of a place to live. I am only going to highlight a few issues with this organization as there are more issues than can be covered on this board.
Dishonesty - This started before we even took possession of the house. We moved to Clarksville in October and it was a very cold October. We asked the org. if we could possibly push up a move in date and they stated that they would try

This is an updated review after a previously very bad experience with this company. The owner, Mike, came out and met with my husband, was professional, and addressed our concerns to include fixing problems that Horizon's employee Brittany had refused to handle much less acknowledge. I have kept one star off this review because Brittany is a terribly rude, unprofessional employee, who deserves to lose her job. Just look at all the other reviews that mention her by name and you'll see she's a consistent problem within this company.

Awful management. Beware of Britney. She's rude and unprofessional.. They charged us for a non functional lock to be fixed. We thought something might have been jammed in the lock but as it turned out it was just corroded over years of use.. we got charged 60 dollars for a guy to come out and spray wd40. somehow she decided that was our fault when we asked for it to be fixed... I was put on speaker phone and could hear people laughing in the background when I tried to explain it wasn't our fault. Very unprofessional. Also it took them almost two months to send us our security deposit

Probably THE worst, sketchiest, management company in Tennessee. I will follow this up with my final thoughts and summary of my experience with this piss pour managed company, to include my email address for all copies of email traffic, and lawyer documents if you do so request. If you choose to go with this company, and you do not care about your property, God bless you and the best of luck. You can decide for yourself if you want to use them, but am more then willing to share my experience.

If you like (mostly) terrible customer service and being told the complete opposite of what you were told days prior you will love working with Horizon! Be very wary when working with them and make sure you get everything in writing. Not sure how a full time student can provide 3x the income. I make more than 3x by myself so it should be a non-issue. I called prior to applying to explain the student would NOT be financially responsible. I was told that was fine as long as I meet the income requirement. First off no stars would be my pick! the staff are ridiculous and lazy and their communication skills are non existent! the owner is a nice man but oblivious to the workings of his office staff or lack there of. We had so many issues living in the rental that it was almost not worth the issues but we loved the house and neighborhood. Even tried to buy the house we were renting three times! We had our realtor contact horizon to make an offer and no response! EVER! had issues of no water, leaky things, and it was never addressed was told by "workers" that things that are not priority

My husband and I have purchased a few properties through Tiffany and we were SO very happy with her. We are out of state and on so many occasions, she has driven to homes to do walk-throughs and send videos. She has also met us multiple times when we have flown out. We are also very happy with their property management. We definitely plan on purchasing more properties through them and being with them for the long haul!

Most unprofessional realty business I've ever had to deal with. I'll say that the office staff and those that I spoke to in the phone were very polite but dealing with them in person is a completely different ball game. My husband and I had traveled 5 1/2 hours to look at this property and were on a very strict schedule as to how much time we could spend at the house and this certain realtor (not sure if allowed to name names) not only shows up late but does not greet neither us nor the other people she booked to show the house AND SHE DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE RIGHT HOUSE KEYS. Never had a problem with Horizon, Mike was great!! I did love the location of the house I was living and had intentions to stay for a while but I moved when I had to encounter a meeting with the owners(how awkward is that) (never wanted to meet them they are like a bill collector (who wants to meet a bill collector I thought that was why property management was in place) stayed in another home for 7 years and NEVER EVER meet owners.... anyways it came to the point that owners didn't want to fix anything so I moved, glad property management I'm with now has a signed clause that I do not

Update on my last review from June 2016. After we left the house leased by Horizon (which we left because the owner was in financial trouble) it was re-leased to another (unsuspecting) military family. Horizon KNEW this house was in possible foreclosure, yet they rented it out AGAIN! Just found out that the current family (after only being in the home 9 months) has been forced to leave by the bank because the home is now in foreclosure! Mike (owner of the agency) knew all along this homes history, and he passed the problem along... in the name of making an extra "buck"! Disgusting

I rented from Horizon for the entirety of 2015. I had to get a rental house when I accepted a job in Clarksville. It was that or drive 160 total miles to and from work everyday. I didn't want to rush to purchase a house, but couldn't drive everyday. I did not read reviews before selecting my house. I didn't really hear from Horizon throughout the year. I simply paid my rent every month, and that was that. I had Horizon manage my property while I was deployed from 2010-2011 and I was not impressed. First off, in the course of a year, I had 3 tenants move in/out. This meant additional damage to my walls and carpet. Second, my emergency POC that I put in charge was treated with hostility and contempt when she periodically checked on the house. Third, the income was not steady (probably due to the repeated turn over of tenants) leaving me w/the mortgage more often than not. Lastly, there was no handover of the house, just a "here are your keys." A minimum would have been a thorough walk through

This place is a terrible place to rent from. When I did my walk through apparently once I had left the lady wrote down several other things that were not mentioned while I was there. Also in the lease it was stated that I would receive my security deposit back with in 30 days of moving out, well its been almost 60! The "manager/maintenance guy" Mike, was rude and did not conduct him self in a very professional manner. I would recommend anyone rent from anywhere else but this place.
