The Kingsman Restaurant
You asked and we've delivered - you can now book The Kingsman to come and cater your event. Call for more info! In 1972, Steve King and his brother Aubrey King purchased what was then known as Mamma Mia's Pizza and transformed it into The Kingsman Restaurant. Keeping many of the original Italian dishes, the brothers slowly started adding their own specialties - such as the pimento cheeseburger, taz's taters and home cooked lunches.

Delicious as they were, it was their hearty ribeyes - locally aged and originally priced at $1.85 - that established The Kingsman as THE place in Columbia to get a great steak. With the unexpected passing of Steve in 2002, his nephew Kevin King took the helm, carrying on the tradition of serving delicious food at reasonable prices.

Overall, a fantastic recommendation to us and clearly extremely popular in town.

I'm not a local. I'm not really familiar with their other dishes. But this review is for their New Year's Day special -- slammin' every year if you get it before they sell out.

Staff always very inviting and friendly, my Mom and I were with my grandma celebrating her early 75th Birthday and the staff made sure to treat her extra special... The kind of place that remembers her customers from years ago and makes it a point to make someone who's a long time customer feel special. The food was delicious and well priced.

Would give 0 stars if I could. When management changed the establishment went downhill.

Great place!
The Man & I went on a lark since our primary destination was packed. We got the corn nuggets to start which were soooo good. That honey mustard is just perfect to the fried taste.
I ordered the pimento burger with the potato salad side item. The potato salad is store bought & icky 😳👎. Avoid if possible...But the pimento burger was just heaven! I had bacon on it ...sooo yummy 😋
The Man got Grilled Chicken Strips which he completely enjoyed. I stole some of his fries which were great!! Highly recommended!
Its a bar mixed with Waffle House chic...very low on frills...but

Food was good, fair price. Never been here before so was surprised on how you have to grab a seat, no one assist in sitting. So we sat at a table that was never cleared.

Good ol’ fashion meals right here! Menu is simple, portion size is perfect and food is flavorful! Prices are very reasonable. Ribeye is a must try!
Fast and very friendly service. Atmosphere is comfortable and laidback. If you feel like a good ol’ fashion and filling meal with a home cooked feel, try The Kingsman Restaurant!

So ... I am still learning the local non-chain places to go and was turned on to Kingsman. Looked at the menu on their website (not a third party menu app), called and placed my order and was given 30 minutes (more than fair). I arrive and the place has that nice little mom & pop feel so I go in and get my food and pay at the counter. Immediate I notice that the prices on the receipt are all more than their website. The Pretzel appetizer was a few dollars more, the corn nuggets a dollar or so plus the burger I got was a dollar more. This right here is moronic as they should reflect what they

Food was great and order came out fast even though people seated after us got theirs first. Waitress was nice and friendly. The only thing that I didn't like was the burger was smaller than I thought it would be, but otherwise great experience.

Only had one take out here, a steak sandwich, was not terribly impressed, maybe I was unlucky, people seem to like the place. My take out order took quite awhile to fix up for me, seemed to be more like a steam-table place for everything other than the steak. Can't say the steam table items were anything more than average. Sorry, I know some people love the place, but I think other than consistency and some steak items, it fall short of a place I would come to regularly.

I thought I should post an updated review. This is an older establishment. It's not fancy but it's friendly and comfortable. The rib eye burger is good... it's juicy and cooked to order. It's fresh. Again. Nothing fancy. My husband had the ribeye steak. It is a little on the thin side but tasty also. The salads were very good and very fresh with great salad dressing. If I lived here we would definitely come back. It's one of those easy places to come back to. I would bet the food is always the same and you know what you are getting. Consistency. I forgot

I was skeptical about this restaurant going in, but I ended up having a great experience.

We ate here on a pretty strict schedule, giving us about an hour to get in, order, get food, eat, pay and leave. We did it all in about 45 minutes (great service)!

I had the sirloin tips with French fries and gravy for dipping. My son had the kids tenders and fries. Both were good, cooked quickly, and hot when we got them. The chicken was breaded nicely and was quality chicken. Steak was cooked properly.

The seating area in the room past the entrance was really homey feeling (though the entrance with the

I was a bit disappointed in the restaurant because I had several people tell me how good it is--especially the steaks. The steaks were average, I'd say. My husband and I had 2 different cuts with the same opinion. His onion rings were pretty good while my baked potato was served barely warm-it didn't even melt the butter. I asked for a heat-up and was served a new potato which was warm--I'd say, not hot.

Our server was friendly but the chick who brought out our food was rude and almost nasty. She was gone too fast for me to challenge her personally, but I complained to our

This is an odd place. The open kitchen is right up front, next to the cashier, like a diner. There's like a breakfast counter in front of the kitchen, and a table with another small counter facing the TV. Go past all that, and there's a dining room with a more typical bar.

I decided to sit at the counter in the kitchen to view the flat top grill all the Yelpers have been raving about in action. They have a lot going on here, and the employees are always moving. The guy running the grill seemed to know what he was doing.

Tonight the ribeyes were on special, so that's what
