Services
Buttermilk fried tenders hand rolled to order and served with fries and your choice of dipping sauce. Grilled chicken breast served over romaine lettuce, bacon, pecans, mandarin oranges, green onions, and crispy Chinese noodles. Grilled fajita-seasoned chicken breast topped with melted pepper jack cheese served over mixed greens, tomatoes, green onions, black beans, and crispy tortilla strips.

I've eaten at Backstreets multiple times and am surprised I haven't left a review yet. On each visit, the staff has been very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant is clean and well lit. The food is outstanding and reasonably priced for the quality. I read a Yelp Elite review about the lump crab cake sandwich and decided to order it. I was pleasantly surprised. It is tough to find good crab cake around Columbia and this is one of the best I've found. The fries were very good too. I look forward to returning soon.

It was date night and we ordered appetizers. The lump crab & Artichoke dip & the chicken bacon quesadilla, they were great. Nice flavors. My lady ordered the Blacked Salmon with a Ceasar's Salad & Tomato Parmesan soup. She enjoyed it but couldn't eat it all she was already full. I ordered the Chipotle Bison Burger with onion & pepper jack cheese. A side of sweet potato fries. My Lady had a Moscato & I had a Rosy Pomegranate Mule, they were both great. For what we got I paid a great price. Great for date night!

First time visit. Service was good. Our server, Zoe, was pleasant. Food was disappointing. Hickory BBQ chicken salad was edible. The high point were the onion rings on top. The chili, a special of the day, looked burnt and microwaved. We sent this back and ordered a kale salad instead. It was edible but overpriced for just kale and Asian noodles. Will not be returning.

Excellent dinner.
Wife had the ribeye which was perfectly cooked medium rare and seasoned well.
I had the Cuban with onion rings. Thin sliced and very good.
The wife got the Caesar salad which was delicious (fresh lettuce, nice amount of shredded Parmesan and the croutons were nice and crispy and not rock hard. The dressing was good but lacked the anchovie flavor which we have come to expect with a good Caesar. Still delicious though, just more of an Italian dressing. Wife ate every bit!
The appetizer was the mussels with garlic white wine sauce which were good.

Amazing find when I was exploring downtown Columbia, South Carolina after my son's graduation from Fort Jackson. I hadn't eaten yet and it was 2 pm. I loved the casual vibe in the bar and the music that was playing ( lots of alternative rock bands from the 90s Counting Crows, Matchbox 20 etc) I loved that as a party of one I was given a comfortable, elevated booth and service was attentive and friendly. I ordered a filet mignon, medium rare with asparagus and a loaded baked potato! The steak was literally perfect- beautifully cooked and rested and so flavorful. It was just enough to fill

What a gem! I have driven by this place many times, assuming it was just another run of the mill sports bar. When I joined a large party for dinner, I had just the most enjoyable experience. The server was an absolute pro- kind and friendly and accomidating. The food was top notch. I was expecting run of the mill food, but a reasonably priced bison burger was out of this world and may have been the most beautifully cooked and seasoned burger I have ever enjoyed. I can't say enough good things about this place and I'll definitely be back.

Great spot that's close to the University of S. Carolina. Parking is limited to the few spots available in the back or side of the restaurant. They have a great patio area that is enclosed and stays cool on a hot summer day. Highly recommend the Mandarin chicken salad and SW chicken salad. The appetizer Black Bean and Cheese was a bit too greasy for my liking. Service was great, would definitely stop by if I'm in the area again.

Found Backstreet Grill with Google search for “Restaurants near me” and we are not disappointed. We sat on the covered porch, which was very comfortable. Our server was great and the food was amazing for a great price.
Edited to add: I have a severe dairy allergy and am always concerned when ordering hamburgers since many places use butter on the flat grill. They catered to me beautifully which naturally added to the experience and instilled confidence to return in the future.

First time here. I've been meaning to stop by for months but finally got a chance to pop in for lunch. My friends and I opted to sit on the patio which was covered and cool (a plus). Our server was nice and attentive. The food was nicely presented and correct. I had the Cajun pasta with grilled shrimp; on the menu it's chicken, but I asked for a substitution. My friends got the chicken tenders and fries and a cheesecake.
The food and service were good. I think on my next visit I'll try their dinner or brunch service are like.

We had the opportunity to go to Backstreet Grill and I was thoroughly impressed. I had the special which was salmon cakes with roasted broccoli and the presentation was absolutely fabulous and the food tasted even better. My sweetheart had the barbecue chicken pizza on cauliflower bread and it couldn't have been better for him. He enjoys very thin and crispy pizza crust and the cauliflower breading fit the bill. We definitely recommend this location as the staff was attentive and timely. Pricing is reasonable but not cheap. Very happy with our bill as it was reasonable.

The wait time for the food took a little longer than expected but we had time to eat our appetizers and main entrees. Seating was available outside and in the screened patio, we chose the patio. The food was really good. I personally found the chicken tenders a little bland but my daughters thought they were good. The tomato parmesan soup was amazing. The burger was juicy. We will definitely be back!

Backstreet Grill is amazing. Due to COVID we haven't had the opportunity to go inside however their curbside service has been off the chain. Never had to call back about an order.
The food is delicious. We have never been dissatisfied by our order. I personally recommend the Reuben which is amazing and mouth watering tasty. My co-worker loves the Lobster Dip, it's something fishy with Pita Bread. I've done the wings and the pizza!!! Just great. If you are looking for great food and exceptional service. Backstreet Grill is the place.

Simple is delicious. In a warm spring day, sitting outside during day vacation in columbia, we came here for lunch. It's good food and drinks. Server was Aaaaawesome. Not only she had great service she gave us a list of great microbreweries in town. Isn't that good? They have outdoor sitting. Much needed now. It's a really good place for a good bite and very reasonably priced.
