Originally from Houston, Dr. Khalfani Walker came to Washington, DC to attend Howard University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. Passionate about helping others, Dr. Walker then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine. From there, he pursued an advanced education general practice residency at Harlem Hospital Centre.

Excellent experiences here! The doctors that I’ve seen are all very knowledgeable and the staff is very friendly. I never feel that I’m being pressured for a service or to have a procedure done. They’re considerate of your time. I’m usually seen right at my appointment time. The atmosphere is very nice here as well. I needed to find another dentist since my previous dentist retired. I’m glad I found Elite Dental at Takoma Park.

New patient here. I was pleasantly surprised by how friendly and--well, pleasant, everyone was. Offices are very clean and the color scheme is relaxing. Appointment was on time; I didn't have to wait. The person who performed my cleaning did a nice job explaining what she was doing and what she found. Also huge bonus for caring about Covid, requiring masks (in fact, the staff was double-masked), and doing a temperature check. As someone who usually dreads going to the dentist, I'm happy to recommend this place.

Warning - great practice, but disappointingly rude office management. Got disrespected by the office manager at 8am on a Saturday morning (great way to start the morning). I shared my concerns about the rude tone and aggressiveness with the dentist, who admittedly didn't have any idea how to handle the situation and only made it worse with his indifference. If they aren't concerned about rude treatment of their clients for something minor, I can't imagine the response if there was a serious issue. What a disappointment.

Had my first appointment with the Doctors at Elite Dental and the visit was great. I'm a new patient and I am thankful for everyone that I came in contact with. The staff at the front desk, the radiologist, Dr. Brown, Dr. Walker. They all made walking into a dental clinic a lot less jarring, my thanks to all at Elite Dental. I visited this office after not seeing a dentist in quite some time due to the pandemic. When they told me that I needed a crown, a root scaling and planing procedure and a night guard I balked. I got a second opinion and it turns out they were right. In fact the second dentist recommended additional procedures like a root canal and cavity replacements. That's not all, the second dentist was considerably more expensive. I went back to Elite and without any questions they worked me into the schedule quickly. Dr. Smith went out of his way to make me feel comfortable during the first part of the crown

Everybody knows how hard it is to switch from your old trusty dentist, but I think I found my new dental office! Everything from the front desk (very efficient and nice) to doctor was great. Attentive, to the point, no BS. Hygienist (Bijou )was amazing - very light hands, made whole experience relaxing. Office has just enough tech to make things easier but not so much that it becomes annoying. Super clean, and as safe as it can possibly be under current situation. Highly recommend. 👍

I just had my first visit and cleaning at Elite Dental, and it was the best healthcare visit I've ever had. The administrative staff, hygienists, assistants, and Dr. Walker are fantastic and provide personalized, detailed, and informative care. I felt taken care of and educated the entire time! The hygienist (Bijou - sp?) and the assistants (Laurence and Suzette) were friendly and attentive, and Bijou was thorough in her cleaning and consultation. Elite Dental Takoma was recommended by a friend after he had many problems a his bridge that only this dentist was able to resolve. Dr. Smith and his staff are very efficient, friendly, and professional. They don't make you wait around and run all of the costs by you ahead of time. I called Siri and asked for the newest dentist. Elite Dental was at the top of her recommendations. I called the place of business and spoke with Ellie. I gave her a quick run down about my situation concerning my Mother.

This is a state of the art dental practice, with a beautiful decor. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. They take the guess work out of the insurance aspect of dental care. The office verifies your benefits and reviews them with you before you receive any services. Dr. O was knowledgeable and engaging. The dental techs were attentive. I've had very positive experiences since I've become a patient. I highly recommend.

I recently tried Elite in Takoma for the first time. I have a dentist that I have been to for years and love, but I moved and wanted to find someone closer to home. My expectations were low, since my prior dentist was so great, but the team at Elite really blew me away. Everyone was extremely friendly and experienced and I loved the fresh, modern office. Having Saturday hours was a huge perk too. Even my daughter asked to go back the next day! Looks like I have found my new dental home.
