Ive been living at Cameron Lofts for about 2 years now . I can pretty much tell you every pro and con about this building.The only good part about residing here, was the customer service provided by Irene ! She really makes this place better. I had been a tenant of KRS Holdings for about 6yrs. I just want to say that Kyle S and his team have made it the best experience. Kyle is very understanding and takes care of any issues promptly. This has been the worst experience ever. Is moving across county and they don’t know how to accommodate people as such. They made this process very srteeefum. Had I had known more about this company befor paying for my application I would’ve went a different direction. I don’t recommend this company sole from the two agents I have been working with. KRS would be lost without James Bristol. Had some issues with getting a property ready and James stepped in and went above and beyond "outside of his job description" to make sure things. If you are going to work with KRS I definitely suggest working with James.

My move in date was originally Dec1st 2021. They communicated the property would be finished by the end of November 2021. It is now January 2022 & I still have not moved in. There is no empathy, they are not pushing for me to move into the apartment that I already put $200 down on. They continue to offer me my money back instead of just having the property finished so I am able to move in. I am very dissatisfied.

Trust me you do not want to deal with this company. As a resident who has lived in their property for 1 year, I have had nothing but problems. I will post a separate review with pictures and emails. The most recent issue is due to unsafe electrical wiring. When my unit was renovated, the electricity was wired incorrectly by the contractors. The electricity upstairs was connected to my neighbors apartment. So when the electricity was disconnected next door. I didn’t have any electricity upstairs in my apartment. Roaches, bed bugs, unreliable maintenance teams, incompetent pest control people, towing your own vehicle out of the parking lot you pay to park your car in, and policies that exist to defraud you out of your money and sanity.

Avoid this place( KRS HOLDINGS/ GREAT RICHMOND RENTALS) at all costs- they will scam you every way they can. Halfway through our stay, our management changed from an individual landlord to this company- this company changed the conditions of our lease WITHOUT providing us a new copy of said lease- one of the changed conditions involved a decreased period to early terminate- our original lease required 90 days prior notice, this company claimed they require 120 days prior notice- but since we were never given a new lease, and none of the parties were notified, we had to find new roommates. TRASH! whole company is trash. Apartments are roach infested and very very dirty. I complained about roaches for a year +. And the only response I got was someone was gonna come lay traps (which never happened) the maintenance guy would LIE about coming into my apartment to spray. He would walk right PAST my door. Do NOT give these scammers your money.

First of all, they are not responsive and do not respond to calls. I literally mean I have never had ANYONE pick up a single phone call; it's always messages, SMS, or email. Despite this, they had an apartment we really liked, so we put the in the reservation fee, signed the lease, and paid the first month of rent+security deposit. However, AFTER we made the long drive down and paid them THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS they emailed us to inform us that the lease was no longer valid because there is scheduled construction 2 months before our lease ended. Worse than Horrible. We have been duped by this company. We saw an apartment. We were told we had to bring in a money order ASAP to get that apartment. I drove all the way from DC to Richmond after signing a lease for that property for 1 year. By the time I got home, 2 hours later I was told that apartment is not available any longer. They have construction planned for it in April. Now that we are trying to get our refund of a full deposit and 1st month's rent they say they don't have it and I have to call KRS Holdings which does not return calls nor answer them.

On May 7 2020, I started my rental contract with KRS Holdings. I never had any complaints sent to the company about my stay. I was an on time paying customer and was never late. My rent was 1295.00 a month. Covid hit and i was still paying my rent on time.. I received an email On 2/12/21 about renewing my lease and the landlord/company wanted to increase the rent 20% which I didnt have an issue with that but i wanted to know why.. Didnt even end up signing a rental agreement. I confirmed an appointment to see the apartment and then move to the office to place the deposit. Once I arrived they refused to let me see the inside of the apartment before I gave them my $200 deposit. They showed me a "virtual tour" of the apartment that didn't show the outside and could've just been a video from anywhere and said that I should just trust them because they wouldn't lie to me. What a pathetic excuse for an actual, so called "company." No calls or texts are returned about the multi-people dwelling, that has been rented in our family neighborhood. Several people have reached out to complain to the company, and there has been zero effort put forth in returning contact. I bet they will reach out when one of their renters hits and kills a child on our neighborhood streets, being that their average speed is about 50 mph. DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. They withhold information and take your money. I toured, applied, and put down a security deposit thinking I was good to go for my move-in date of July 31st. I was told on July 8th that this apartment was affordable housing. I met with them FOUR times prior and was never once told this. It wasn't until I reached out to them about my move in date that I was told I had to fill out another application. THIS COMPANY SUCKS DO NOT RENT FROM THEM PLEASE!!!! i've had problem after problem with them. they've ignored the roaches AND rats in my apartment...mind you i'm not a dirty human. They lied on my lease and told me I had an AC unit and heat and when i moved in there was a fake thermostat and broken radiators...it wasn't until i threatened to sue that they gave me a window unit. My roommate gave up her security deposit and rights to the lease and paid the fee ($150) and they never reassigned the lease or took her off of it when she signed the papers to do so. Worst rental company ive ever dealt with. I moved out in February when my lease was up, gave them a 6 month notice. Two months after I moved out, they charged me with an eviction. I didnt even live there. So I now have an eviction on my record that noone will fix. Seriously about to hire a lawyer.
