I have lived in a house managed by Bear Granville for almost a year. They are responsive to any request and are incredibly professional. I have never rented from a better property management company. AJ is always so helpful, and Armando makes the lawns look wonderful. Ken is very helpful especially during these vivid 19 times and Michelle is always making sure anything you need gets taken care of. Glad to rent from this company.

Bear Granville was able to help me find the right apartment, sign the lease, and move in about half the time it usually takes to find the right place. They also took care of a few problems I had with the property promptly. I was impressed with the speed and quality of the process. I definitely will be returning!

In my 25 years as a renter, I have never been as disappointed as I have as I was during my time with Bear Granville. At the time, I was excited to be moving from Henrico to the Manchester district, and I thought the place seemed nice enough. When I moved in, however, I noticed all the windowsills were filthy, the inside of the oven was uncleaned, and the radiators were all covered in peeling paint. When I mentioned this in person to their leasing agent, she offered nothing in response.

Bear Granville was super responsive when I wanted to look at one of their properties. The office answered immediately when I called, got me a showing for the same day, and the property was clean and in good shape. The office and the leasing staff were very friendly and helped answer all my questions. Unfortunately, the property rented before I could get my paperwork together (not a surprise) but I will be keeping an eye on their website as I continue my search!

Absolutely the worst rental experience ever. All these 5 star reviews are coming from people who have not had to deal with Bear Granville while moving out or with maintenance issues.
Unresponsive maintenance team, Brandi is rude and dismissive, and terrible move out policy and procedures. All around the worst rental experience I have had in Richmond and I have rented with 4 other property managers. Do yourself a favor and do business with ANY other property manager in the city.

I love Bear Granville. Richmond is full of slumlords, but the Bear team has provided me with a beautiful, affordable home and best of all...they are very timely and effective with maintenance! They have been generous replacing faulty appliances and are non-intrusive; there-for-you but hand-off.
If I were inclined to move from my beloved home, I’d check Bear Granville’s available properties before taking my chances with another leasing company or independent owner. They’re that good.

I am thoroughly impressed with the service Bear Granville provides. Brandi and Michelle took care of me when filling out the lease and Ken was responsive to any questions I had in the process, especially with the pet policy for my dog and cats. When I moved in the apartment was clean and looked freshly renovated. All around good company to rent from.
