I just moved in here last month and have been loving it since. Their biggest 1 bedroom is literally unbeatable for the price around Kansas City. They have google fiber jacks for easy internet set up in the closet, which is huge btw. And the leasing staff is absolutely brilliant. This is my first “grown up” apartment and I’ve had loads of questions and they have helped me no hesitation, on the phone, or in the office. Basically we love it here at the 970.

My wife and I lived there for 2 years before leaving. I had a motorcycle stolen from there, my neighbor had their Mercedes stolen and for being a "luxury apartment complex" the lack of security is astounding. The security they hired is useless and hardly ever there. Since the change in ownership management doesn't seem to care. Crime is a big possibility when you live there.

I have loved living here since I moved in; however, two weeks ago my car was vandalized, and both of the people I spoke with over the phone in the office did absolutely nothing about my complaint and were unwilling to even check the security cameras. They essentially told me that I should expect my car to be vandalized since this is Kansas City. Our complex is in Parkville, which is a nice area, and these are considered luxury apartments. So I would expect the management here to at least be alarmed that residents’ vehicles are consistently being vandalized and broken into. I wouldn’t recommend

Would highly recommend NOT living here. I rarely leave reviews but would hate for anyone else to go through what we have. The bugs are awful. We had 40+ fruit flies each day coming from an unsealed bathtub and our maintenance request was never responded too. Instead I was told the amount of bugs was expected for the season. The hallway is full of bugs as well - and I mean piles of them. Security is lacking. People’s cars have been tagged and broken into, police are often here, altercations occurring right outside our window, every package in the mailroom broken into - nothing done about it

Live anywhere but here. It may look nice from the outside but it’s anything but. You will have bugs in your apartment. The cops will be here once a month at least. They no longer have on site security like they claim. Crime has been increasing here and nothing is done. Anytime you speak to management, if they even answer, it’s a different person. Save the effort and your money and find somewhere else. Also, the utility company called Conservice is pocketing money and our utilities are ridiculous!!!!!!

Would have given zero stars if possible. I am actually shocked at how unprofessional the management is here. Not to mention how horrible the construction of the apartment is. EVERYTHING in my apartment keeps breaking and staff is very unhelpful and RUDE. So glad my lease is almost up. I work high up in a customer service industry and I can’t believe these people still have their jobs. I hate confrontation and never have problems with anyone and even I have almost gotten into it with the lady who claims to be in in charge (insert huge eye roll here).

The lack of response from the staff is flat out horrible. I have been asking for a copy of first lease I had with them. Spoke with at least four different people requesting this, told them how urgent the matter was and even apologized for not being able to locate my original copy. I was told that someone would have to retrieve it from a different location and each time I called, that person was NEVER available. I have yet to hear back from any one. Horrible, horrible customer service.

The apartments and amenities are lovely. But that's where the buck stops. My electricity bill was upwards of $150+ every month and I lived in a little more than 700 Sq ft. The company that built these must've just thrown them up for aesthetic appearance and gave up on putting in high quality materials. I did like the location for work and travel, but the demographic is also very surprising here. I don't know how many times police were called over domestic abuse situations, but I doubt anything was ever done. Other neighbors here were very rude and entitled, never wanting to be held accountable

I would not recommend living at Altitude 970 to anyone. Management is non-responsive and extremely unprofessional. There has been huge turnover with management and office staff. Every time you go into the office to address an issue, there is a new person. The managers keep getting worse and worse and their messages/resolutions are inconsistent. You should get in writing anything that is discussed as it changes frequently. You can be told one thing one day and the next day it's something entirely different. This place cannot be trusted. It's mismanaged and not clean. This place used to be beautiful

Great when we first moved in. The design of the apartment lured us in. Amenities are nice. But if you ever need to contact the leasing office for any reason whatsoever - you will not receive any sort of response. They don’t answer phones, they don’t reply to emails, and they are simply terrible at their job.
Never taking any responsibility for mistakes either. They’ll find someone to put blame on.
Overpriced for the quality of customer service and attentiveness. Not worth the rent.

I lived here for 2.5 years.
Once they were bought out this place went down hill.
I was the first person to live in my unit and everything was brand new so I was ok with the high rent. But once shermon took over their office personnel became worse and their maintenance team too. I tried setting up meetings for months to re-new my lease but they rarely answered the phones and they never seemed to have anyone at the office when i tried stopping by in person. After finally renewing my lease they didn't file the proper paperwork so my account still said month to month. They were seriously this

I would give 0 stars if I could.
Lived here since 2019 and just riding out the rest of the contract.

Don't sign a contract here, as the turnover in the clubhouse is darn near monthly. The current manager talks over you and doesn't address the property needs.

This company rewards new residents while not making the loyal residents feel welcome.

I have been told so many different things when asking questions that I have to have them write down our conversation and sign it just to hold them accountable.

The maintenance staff is friendly but there is a new person or complete staff

I would not recommend moving here, especially if you work from home or if you or your spouse is in the medical field with odd hours. Most inconsiderate residents I've experienced who give no regard of their own noise and blare music and scream at the pool and halls like they're in a frat house and the office does nothing. The maintenance staff is great but the office staff is hard to get a hold of and takes multiple attempts to get information. Advertise as luxury but it is not, there’s been regular police presence because of the pool but tonight cops were everywhere

I moved from the downtown KC area to this community in 2019. I honestly don't miss the noise of downtown. It's quiet, and peaceful. The community backs up to woods, so don't be surprised if you're walking your dog and you come across a group of deer, flocks of geese, baby chicks, or even an occasional fox! I didn't have the best move-in experience but that was addressed. I believe the complex is now owned by another management group since then. If I have an issue, it's generally taken care of quickly. My only complaint honestly is that I don't think the batteries in the smoke detectors were changed

Do not move here! When we first moved in, this complex was luxury and well managed. After it was sold to Sherman Residential, it went down hill fast! No communication, rules are not enforced, trash on the grounds, items ended up "missing"! For the cost to live here, needs vast improvements!!

I absolutely LOVED living at this property! Not only is the area gorgeous, but the gym is amazing, and my apartment unit was an absolute dream. I relocated from Texas knowing nothing about KCMO and as soon as I toured this property, I knew it was the one for me. Now I am in transition back to Texas (to another Sherman owned property ) and Tiffany, the Property Manager was a huge help in assisting with transferring my lease over to a Dallas property. I am sad to leave this property but am confident that my new Sherman property will be just as amazing! Thank you Tiffany & team - you are all wonderful

I want to give a shout out to Tiffany Snadon and the rest of the staff. I was in the process of retiring from the Army when COVID-19 put the breaks on the world. Tiffany worked closely with me extending my lease and ensuring my accounts were current and accurate when I finally moved out. Had I not been leaving the area I would've never moved, I loved my apartment, the amenities and the friendly staff. During my 15 month stay, the staff increased to include roaming security, how awesome is that. And the maintenance guys....nothing but kind, patient, professionals. Only issues I had was a wasps

I totally agree with J.R. W every since new management took over it has been different. The new water company has raised the sewage from $2.48 per month to $25 to $35 or higher. And the only explanation that they can give was that they bill differently from the previous company. My utilities has always been ridiculous since I moved here. I live in a one bedroom and my utilities has been as high as $225.00 for one month. If I had known, I would have chosen some where else.

When I first moved in had an issue with the dishwasher not drying properly. Talked to Amanda at the front office and she had someone on it within the hour. Just yesterday went down to the club house and all the women running the front office had an awesome spread set up for residents to enjoy the super bowl game. Even on their day off they were rushing around to make sure everyone had everything they needed and was having a good time. The units themselves are super clean and very secure. The front office staff goes above and beyond to take care of residents living here. If you're looking for

Michael from the main office is a workhorse who goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and is extremely familiar and knowledgeable with all the systems and processes of the state of the art facilities offered at Altitude 970. The living areas are literally brand new and have a sleek, modern design with highly efficient and cutting edge amenities.
