Absolutely one of the best vet facilities in the area. Kind help. Accurate and meaningful care is so appreciated. If you need help with your loved pet, please consider BG Animal Hospital. My little mini golden doodle had an ear ache. I needed to get her in ASAP. Buffalo Grove hospital was able to get her in within 2 hr after calling my vet plus I didn’t have to pay the emergency fee. The staff were extremely friendly. The nurse was wonderful with my pup. Then the vet actually took the time to answer my questions. The next day I got a call checking on her. I was on a search for a new vet and I am confident I found one. Wonderful, caring establishment. Thank you Buffalo Grove Animal hospital. I’ll be back.

It was my first time at this animal hospital and I must say BEST staff, all the way from booking my appointment to walking out the door. I was on hold on the phone for awhile but that was because they had too many people calling in to make appointments, YES including me haha, which to me is understandable why a lot of people come here, THEY’RE OUTSTANDING. So please be patient with them, they will get to you and trust me it’s worth the visit. Everyone is super knowledgeable, kind, and informative. I had a visit for my kitten who had some eye infection. They gave me eye drops and charged for the visit plus $47 for the drops. When I got home and checked what this medicine is I found out that same exact drops are $15.99 at Petsmart, or you can buy them online if you have prescription for $13. I understand they have to run a business, but charging triple price for medication seems unethical to me. Can’t complain about anything else, everyone was very nice and helpful, but dishonest charges will make me look for a different clinic.

The staff here is incredibly friendly and always follows up the next day to make sure my dog is doing well..Dr Schaele is hands down the best vet. we have ever had. He remembers our names/pet names. He makes you feel as if you are the most important client at that moment. He is very thorough and explains everything to your satisfaction

Friendliest staff ever! Our first visit which was a consult for dental cleaning under anesthesia with Dr. Schaele. He explained everything clearly and in detail. Really helped us to understand the risks and their interventions/safety checks in place to mitigate as much as possible. Looking forward to a safe procedure and healthy teeth and gums for our girl.

I am so glad we found Buffalo Grove Animal Hospital! When we got our first puppy at 8 weeks old, we started at a different vet clinic simply due to proximity - they were awful, and we quickly realized we had to switch. Thank goodness for Buffalo Grove Animal Hospital because they have been absolutely exceptional! Their communication is excellent, you always know what's going on with your pet, they are organized, they help you understand which vaccinations and medications your pet needs and when, and always offer you their honest opinions. They're extremely transparent, their pricing is competitive
