If you're looking for a day of leisure or maybe a morning run that can challenge even the fittest athletes, Coronado Beach is the perfect place to do so. This golden stretch connects with the Pacific Ocean and the public beach stretches for a good mile. All year round you will find people enjoying the sunny, soft-sanded beach that has been claimed to be the "best beach of the United States".
In 1996, brothers Ron and Rick Chapman started up the Coronado Brewing Company to create and celebrate The Islanders roots. They did this by creating an exceptional, original craft beer. CBC became the pride and joy of the Crown City, providing an assortment of abundantly hoppy West Coast-style ales.
Hitch a ride on the Old Town Trolley Tour and experience one of the best ways to see San Diego. Painted in green and orange, these trolleys cover 25 miles of San Diego. Tours cost $36/adults and $18/children (cheaper if you buy online). It's definitely worth the price-there are at least 10 different routed tours, two of which make stops in Coronado.

Hmmmmm....not sure how I should review this place. I came for the location. It was walking distance to Peohe's and my husband and I stayed in Coronado for the weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Coronado Inn was the closest hotel/motel. I can definitely say it wasn't the greatest place to stay. I was actually shocked at how plain/old/run down the inn was. The room was tiny and the beds were hard. The bathroom was not up to my standards. It's a "barely minimum" type of place to stay and I can say that I will most likely not choose to stay here the next time I want

As soon as we entered the room I knew I did not want to stay here. When I brought the uncleanliness of the room especially during the pandemic (Covid) and that I was not comfortable staying they at first offered a discount of 25%. I really did not want to stay so then they charged me cancellation fee and an early check out fee totaling over $300.00. Now I have to try to get a refund of over $1700.00 from them for the fees that they were charging for a weeks stay. I was thinking my family and I could experience the cute small family owned establishment experience while visiting with my son but this

This place is AWFUL. There are so many things wrong with this place. First, they put my friend and her mom in the wrong room (handicap room) so when they tried to use the shower, it flooded the whole restroom and her mom slipped and fell, gaining bruises on her knees and a cut on her arm.
While the website claims they keep their rooms clean for covid, their socks turned black from walking on the floor and they found previous guests hair products and clips left in the restroom of the new room they were moved to. The staff did nothing about her moms fall and we are currently seeking help either

I planned a birthday week end for my wife 7/22/2021 to 1/26/2021. I booked this thru booking.com with confirmed king bed. In April I called the hotel to confirm the room inquired about the free on site parking that was on my conformation receipt. The staff person confirmed the room and told me that the parking was first come first serve. She informed me that for $10.00 per night which I then paid for that I was able to reserve a parking spot. When we drove up to the hotel were very excited to stay her. The location was great and the exterior looked real nice, there's a pool and sitting

I can't log out of my sons acct. My name is Kellie Cardoza. I purchased one nights stay via Expedia . When I arrived no reservations showed . I booked a room with two Queen beds. No rooms were available but it was realized a room across the street was vacant .I was given what appeared to be the smallest room of all that only had a full size bed. Staff gave me a roll away twin mattress. I have my 17 yo, 16yo and 8yo. My 17 yo is currently sleeping on the floor. Although staff was polite and friendly they weren't apologetic. I asked if I could get a bigger discount or partial refund. The only answer

This place looks great in the pictures on the website which is why we chose to stay here. There are many reasons we would never stay or recommend. Two major issues were 1) the bedframe broke on one side and the mattress sagged through. 2) The toilet was not fastened down to the floor on one side and had water on floor to dry throughout stay. Also, a hair on shower wall made us not wish to shower; and our room was a few feet from the street and this place has no drapes over the white blinds which would help with street noise and sunlight first thing in the morning. Bring your own pillows, they

Great location, Great staff... It was disappointing we had issues with ants in the bathroom and kitchen. The water pressure in the shower was nonexistent. When we got into the room the lights or ceiling fans didn't work. Guess they had to reset the circuit breaker. You can't beat the location or the price. I would definitely consider staying again at this location if the price was right.

Charlene is a terrible manager with a poor attitude. The blinds were already messed up. They had tape and missing sections of it and we were charged for them. The blinds are cheap in the room we were in. The charged way beyond what they were worth. I even had pictures at the time to show that. She didn't listen. She was beyond rude. It's a wonderful location but a terrible manager with no social etiquette or manners. In addition, she never called me back when she said she would. So I called again and it went to voicemail. Seriously Coronado would do better without her.

We go to Coronado a lot. It is one of our favorite quick getaways. We haven't stayed here yet. We have however, stayed at several of the old 1930's/40's motor lodges on the Island. The outside is very cute. Yellow with blue shutters, brick walkways and newly planted flower beds. We are in the Pool and spa business so, we checked out the pool and it is older and looks great. In fact, our room overlooked the pool. Check in was easy and the desk clerk was friendly. We reserved a parking spot. Parking on the Island can be a bugger. We already knew that. So, the $10 for a reserved spot

DO NOT STAY HERE! THIS PLACE IS DISGUSTING! The entire staff or "family" that run this joint are extremely rude and incompetent. It is absolutely the filthiest place I have ever seen in my entire life.
If you have stayed here in the past and had a good time you got super lucky! I unfortunately did not. Not only would i not recommend this place, I don't understand how the board of heath hasn't shut this place down after my stay and reading the reviews on here.
Heed my advice, You will regret spending your time and money on this. If you want to stay on the island spend a little

Stayed here for my birthday / valentines weekend. The toilet leaked really bad, I realized when I looked down and my socks were wet. The shower water didn't get warm so I couldn't shower. On checkout i advised the front office what had happened and that I wanted a refund, they said they would talk to their manager and call me. Didn't hear anything so I rang them next day, advised me they wont refund! They offered me a very small discount to stay there again, pointless as I live in OC and not interested in going there again.
I accepted I wasn't going to get a refund. It got worse

I can not say enough about the service we received! I almost thought I was staying at the Ritz! Charlene and Lee were so accommodating as soon as we arrived on the property. I come to the island several times a year and I will for sure be staying here from now on!! Thanks again to Lee and Charlene for making our time at the Inn so amazing!!

If i could rate this place a 0 i would. we went for only two days and disliked everything about it. to start off, it started to rain and the roof started leaking which stressed us out once we had to go to sleep. second off, there were a lot of bugs so me and my family had to sleep with one eye open. there was no manager to talk to in the lobby, it was very outdated, and overpriced for no reason. i recommend not to stay here at all.

I have to give a 3 star review, however the stay was pleasant. The hotel is dated for sure. The price was very reasonable and most of all the staff was amazing. Nothing terrible to report other than the cleaning crew must not open the drawers in the rooms because we found old moldy food left over. Easy to take care of and throw away. The bathroom
And showers need work and the little things like iron as ironing board could be replaced. Having the bikes was nice, however they were a bit beat up, some had flat tires and weren't even rideable.
Overall not bad if you aren't planning on staying

Ok some salient details:
They checked me into their "sister" property on the other side of Orange ave. Located at the intersection of third street and Orange Ave. arguably the busiest intersection in this small town. If you want quiet, this is not the place. I can hear the car motors and loud cycles non stop.
Wi fi available but they didn't bother to give me the code.
TV and remote control are unrelated. Neither has any impact on the other so no TV.
Room is small, sparse, uninteresting, and reeks of disinfectant.
Main property is unmaintained, shingles loose, shutters falling

One word: BUGS! On my first night, I was met with a cockroach and multiple spiders. Also, an unknown bug crawled on my face while I was trying to sleep. (BEWARE OF USING YOUR PHONE IN THE DARK bc bugs will be attracted to your face) I had to sleep with the lamp on for all of the nights I was there due to the fear of another bug crawling on me.
The breakfast served was unmemorable. None it was fresh. Just packaged cereal and bagels to toast. Also, while I was eating breakfast in their pool area (yup, that's where breakfast is put) a guy decided to take a swim, so I was splashed on a couple

I guess it depends on which room you get. I was staying with friends for Comic Con so the rates were a bit higher than normal. Their room seemed fine. I was in room 52, which I didn't know meant 1952 (joke) since it's lack attention since then.
First, it is in a great location. walking distance to restaurants, bars, grocery and liquor stores. Also close to the Ferry. You'll want to walk since they warn you multiple times that parking at the Inn is limited so you might not want to give up your parking spot.
