My roommate had all his clothes stolen from the laundry room, and another had his bike stolen from inside the complex. When informing management, they basically said "it is what it is" and did nothing to improve the security of the laundry room (which opens directly to the street) or the complex in general. We also had mold problems that were dealt with in a similar manner.

Good Maintenance team. The apartment manager Sam Miller helped us with a maintenance request on a Friday night after work hours. The maintenance team also usually responds to requests in one or two business days.

Lived in Alder for 2 years. Definitely an older building but a good price for location. Management was always very responsive with maintenance issues, and usually fixed them day of or next day. Move out process was well communicated and though we were charged for cleaning, it was a reasonable amount. 4 stars rather than 5 because the on site laundry was over priced, didn’t work well, and often out of order (about 50% of the time)

Definitely not responsive!!!
Mold in my unit, the floor is dilapitated under the carpet. Manager says it's in my head (including the health issues I developed since moving in).
Manager is hesistant and refuses to pull up carpet to prove me wrong.
Owners don't answer their phone or return calls.
My next step is to go to the AGO, to get something done..
Oven Burns all my food, bugs everywhere, and the smell is horrendous.
NEVER have I lived in these circumstances, EVER!!!

Though I did not decide to rent from coho since we found a more suitable place for me, the agent we had was super helpful. Sabrina was our agent while we were trying to rent the place. She responded almost ANYTIME whenever I asked anything about the place. I strongly recommend Sabrina if youre trying to rent a place from coho!

I've been living in Goss for a year now, and I'd say it's a steal given its price and location.
The apartments aren't like brand new (doors are kinda scratched up, etc.) but they have everything you need (microwave, fridge, dishwasher, on-site laundry, etc.) and the units are in decent shape. There's nothing dangerous about the place and everything works just fine. Management is quick to respond, super helpful, and very accommodating. Because the building is kinda old, stuff often breaks (we had our fridge leak and kitchen flood) but maintenance responded immediately and fixed it up. The only

There have been a few changes since my friends and I have moved into Badger Apartment (Sept. 2018) -- fixed fans, maintenance requests online, more laundry machines and new mailboxes. Overall, my interactions with the building managers have been professional and prompt at responding to our concerns (thank you Sam!). We've had maintenance respond within a week-time to come make fixes. It really seems like they're trying to improve their buildings and management.

It definitely is an old building, so don't expect ikea-style cabinets but it goes for a place to stay for a decent price

They went out of their way to help me.

I've leased with Coho three times, three years ago at Goss, last year at Dry Creek, and have leased with them again for the upcoming year at Badger.

I've read other reviews but I've had a pretty different experience. Personally I've had good interactions with the building managers (shout out to Kat and Cindy), they've worked with me through any issue and have been kind and understanding.

I won't sugarcoat it, the age of the buildings shows at times and specially for basement level apartments you will have to stay on top of your cleaning if you don't like mold

Mold growing in 3 of the 4 downstairs units. I recommend buying an air purifier because management doesn't actually acknowledge the problem that the ventilation is poor.
Dish washer takes 3+ cycles to actually clean. I recommend just hand washing. Pipes often sporadically back up too.
No in unit laundry, onsite laundry is often completely out of order 20% of any given month. My only recommendation is to have friends that have laundry access elsewhere.
Most apartments are in disarray. Hot water only lasts about 10 minutes, if you're in a 2+ apartment, you need to schedule showers.

Wish I could give zero. I've been contacted by the person who lives in my old apartment. Not only have none of the issues I listed not been addressed, but the manager Mariah told them that I was just a complainer and that it couldn't have been that bad if I stayed for two years. Apparently, she's never been broke.

If there is a zero star rating, I would check it - I give it one star just because I cannot rate it lower.
Basically if you live here you will expect:
1. A manager who is never on time
2. Lost deliveries/packages and never find out who took it
3. You lost almost all the deposit after your lease
4. If you seek any quick access to the management - like someone occupied your parking spot, someone is smoking weed/making noisy parties - you will never get it. The manager simply pretend he/she doesn't exist.
5. The management will blame *you* if your car was broken in in the garage, which is under

Only because you can't give zero stars.
Management is highly unprofessional and incompetent in all manners and refuses to solve any problems. From mold to billing to the actual lease itself. Management either does not know how to or does not want to resolve any issues even when it is of their own fault.
They take advantage of the fact that most residents are students and only when act when heavily pressured.
It's hard to believe that anyone could honestly leave a good review for this place. No one that I know that has lived here has had even a mediocre experience.

Worst management of any sort I've ever experienced in my life. In the beginning, Kari was a good manager, but ever since she left, the management has been garbage. They are not sympathetic at all and only care about taking your money. Would never recommend this to anyone.

I'm a current resident at Echo apartments. Kari was professional and helpful in making our move in easy (She left in November). Did not have high expectations for the price we got.

Pros:
the maintenance is quick to respond.

That is where all the positives end.

We got a really unclean apartment on move in which we documented to avoid fines on move out (reading previous reviews)

Cons:
#1. Homeless junkies camping and safety
God help you if you just leased unit 2 at echo. There are homeless camping in the garage EVERY DAY! The campers have damaged the access doors so badly, that they barely

Our 3BR/2BA apartment in the Goss building was clearly not cleaned when we moved in. The carpet was dirty, the horizontal surfaces in the kitchen we covered in a sticky yellow substance that had pooled in certain areas and trapped bugs where they later died. There's a cabinet that looks like it should house shelving in the kitchen but it was just the water heater. At the bottom of that cabinet was almost an inch of dust. The cabinet under the sink is sealed shut to the counter (on the right side) for unknown reasons but probably to support the cabinet. There is only one kitchen drawer. There

I (+1 roommate) lived in a 2BD/1Bath unit it Echo Apt for 1+ year (moved out halfway through the second year).

MANAGEMENT: 3/5
Kari was our apartment manager and if I was rating just her, her professionalism and dedication to making everything easy for the tenants is superb. However, taking into account Coho's management software (online maintenance requests taking up to 2 weeks to respond and no warning of when to anticipate them) and the physical check limitation, the overall management is just not tenant friendly.

CLEANLINESS: 1/5
It was livable, but one of the worst smelling garages

DONT EVER RENT FROM COHO!!! If there was a way to give negative stars, I would! They are the most unprofessional, unorganized, terrible people. I could write a whole essay about all the problems I had while renting an apartment from them. Just to list a few:
- They returned about 20% of our deposit after we spent hours cleaning our apartment before moving out (they even charged us for re-painting the apartment because they decided they wanted to, not because it needed to be painted)
- They did not close our utility accounts upon our move-out resulting in us having to pay over $100 for 2 weeks of

I am surprised about the positive nature of the reviews for this business on Google. Other sites have different reactions, largely very negative. So, which is correct? My experience with Coho is based on a very disappointing afternoon in dirty buildings and depressing and overpriced apartments. As a professional, I was looking for a place to live and the U District seemed a likely spot.
On a warm afternoon, I showed up for one of those "group showings". In my group, waiting patiently outside the Coho office, where we were told not to intrude, there were several pairs of students, looking for a

I don't even know where to begin on how much this place sucks. My roommate and I currently live in Badger apartments. From passive aggressive notes posted on our door by our manager to avoid any and all personal contact, to completely arbitrary "late fee" charges, to a 60$ monthly bill on water/sewer, this place is a last resort residency for a reason.
But you may want to consider the advantages of being homeless before you live here.

Last week our building's fire alarm started turning on and off. Where was the building manager? Nowhere to be found. No phone answer, no response
