James is a full time Fire Lieutenant with the City of Norfolk. He began his journey long ago out of high school, performing numerous jobs and home renovations.

I will highly recommend First Glance Home Inspection to your bank. Mr. Emenaker is very professional and detail oriented. He showed up on time and was very thorough throughout the inspection. He allowed me to walk with him through the inspection and answered any questions, every item that he found a deficiency with. He showed it to me and offered his advice on if it needed to be repaired/replaced by a service professional or if it is something that could be handled as a DIY project. James was there well before the scheduled time, extremely courteous, hands on, sociable to answer all of my questions, encouraged my shadowing him along every step of the inspection, provided expert insights and advise on nearly every aspect of my home, and gave an inspection that exceeded my expectations. James's inspection was easily worth twice its weight in gold. He inspected a fairly large home for me and looked everything over top to bottom, going to lengths that I have not seen out of other inspection companies. His detailed report helped us determine what we needed to do, and what we needed to go back to the seller with. I really like the fact that he not only pointed out the issues, but went into detail on how to remediate them, and where they fell on a scale of importance. James is also a nice guy, very personable, and was more than willing to stay and answer questions. Will be using him
