I graduated high school and college in Maryland, but now I moved another state and from time to time, I visit Maryland to see my parent in law. My sister told me there is best duck place in Onley, so our family decided to go there this time. We ordered whole duck and Salt and Pepper Shrimp and other dishes and most of them are very tasty and amazing.

I came here with my family, we were seated fast, our orders were taken and the food came fast. The downside was that the pina colada, fruit punch/orange juice were bitter. The orange chicken a bit too hard but overall the experience was great and delicious.

One of the best Chinese restaurants in the county. Love the Peking chicken and the My Own soup. I periodically drive there from Germantown for a meal.

Christmas dinner delight! Make sure you plan ahead because it’s a popular spot on Christmas Day. Wait time for food is 1hr. For both take out and indoor dining. Good business for them!

I have been ordering from Hunan Delight for over 15 years and tonight I received the worst attitude from the man at the register. When I went to pick up my food after placing an order via phone, the man at the register could not find my food (understandable) and then gruffly accused me of calling the wrong number before moving me aside to deal with the next customer. Knowing I had placed it there as I have been ordering from this Hunan's Delight for more than 15 years, I waited to collect my food. My order was actually there under but another name, another understandable error on their part

Ordered kung pao chicken, white meat (white meat chicken is not the default here), no peanuts, no water chestnuts. Got a bowl full of mature, chewy, green onion shoots. Order took 59 minutes from phone call to pickup. Place is, and has always been, visibly dirty. Carpet has not been changed since I was a kid- 30 years ago. Bathroom is also original and if you're someone that judges places by how clean the establishment's bathroom is, you'd never come back here. Not sure how they get away with the level of visible filth that has been present, basically forever. They must be using a lot of msg that

Don't order the Singapore noodles, skimpy meat and vegetables, mostly noodles. Hot and sour soup tasty and the sherbet for dessert is a nice touch. The service is minimal, I asked for hot sauce and never got it, perhaps her English was limited.

Been a customer for at least 14 years always a delight to have a Chinese restaurant with a decent deal. and often times when my family goes we get the whole pecking duck with egg soup and green beans.
depending on where we sit sometimes the service might be slightly slower even when there are empty seats in the restaurants and by the way they changed the dessert ice cream into vanilla

Best Chinese food I've ever had. I've eaten in Beijing, Shanghai, and I've eaten my Han friends' homemade cooking. Nothing beats their Mongolian beef and general Tso's chicken.

Me, my family, & friends have enjoyed this restaurant for many years. I am not familiar with the ownership, & when or whether the ownership has changed. I always have found the food enjoyable. I especially like the lunch combination of egg roll, hot & sour soup, & .#8- Cheng tu beef. Several years ago, the restaurant began advertising in my church's Sunday bulletin, offering a 10% discount. I have used these coupons many times over the years, for lunch, dinner, & carry out. Today, the food & service were both exceptional, & there was no exception, except for one

I've done 2 take out from this restaurant and always a selection of different dishes. The first time I ordered the flavors good. So decided to give it another try. The flavors are good however they build up volume with excess veggies me carrots. My order today was shredded pork (Yu-Shiang Pork) in garlic sauce which has half moon carrots. But this place used shredded carrots, ok. However it's all shredded carrots where's the pork? I paid )13 for the dinner portion and all I got was carrots. Does the chef not know portioning for the recipe? Eating cooked shredded carrots not my ideal

This was the last place we dined before Covid started, and one of the first places we visited when masks were no longer required in Maryland. If I reviewed it in March 2020 it would be a solid 5 stars. Even in January 2021 it would have been great. But now? Not so good.

To get into specifics, this review is for our second meal post-mask mandate and is for takeout. Typical I give restaurants two attempts, assuming a chef can have a bad night.

We ordered soup, which clearly no one had tasted because it needed salt. Lots of salt. It tasted like dishwater otherwise. I had Lover's Delight

Never go to this place.
Eat pizza or sandwich. Do not try this restaurant.

Food is bad, uncooked and smelled. When this place was owned or managed by old owner then food quality, quantity and service was excellent. Since its new management or owner on our recent visit to this restaurant we found the quality is very cheap, serving size is too small with higher price. We had to request our dish to be re-cooked and staff was every unfriendly. They will serve old food from the freezer. Never dine in this restaurant you will waste your money and will regret.

Hunan Delight is a really good Chinese restaurant. Their dishes are best enjoyed family style.

I especially love their chicken dishes and dumplings. I've ordered a lot of different items from their menu and they always come out great.

Their also extremely quick to complete orders with most carry-out orders being ready within 20 minutes!

New owners, bad food, bad service, bad attitude, and bad pricing. I use to really love this place. There is nothing left by way of food Chinese food in Olney. I have decided to drive to Full Key on University Blvd to get good Chinese food. Tragic. I am so dissatisfied

What Happened?

I know the original owners sold but they kept the same chef for a while.
That chef must have left. Food is completely different.
My wife's favorite was their beef and broccoli and it is now broccoli with a side of beef and a dash of sauce. She wasn't pleased.

My favorite was their crispy beef but that too has changed :(

This used to be one of our favorite spots, known for its very good Peking Duck. But with the pandemic, we think they must have part-timed the chef because more than 60% of the dishes from our last two take-out orders were mediocre, but expensive for what you got. We ordered the steak and scallops and they left out the scallops and other than that, the quality of the meat was poor and cooked poorly. Vegetables boiled to almost mush b4 tossing in. All this said, if you stick to the safe dishes such as the lo meins, fried rices and peking duck (skinny ducks of recent but still tasty), you will be

This experience was much better than the last time. It had been a couple years since we ate here, glad we gave the restaurant another shot. Friendly staff, quick service. Huge dinner portions. We had leftovers for the following day. The Mongolian beef was delicious. The kids were happy, I was happy...we will be back.

Dinner meeting made photos a challenge, not trying to be too conspicuous by standing on my seat for the aerial shots. I offer these two photos taking only one shot each - going with what I got.

Both served with white rice:
One Kang Pao Chicken - Diced Chicken with spring onions and peanuts i a special hot sauce.

Chicken with Cashew Nuts - Diced Chicken toss fried with special sauce topped with cashew nuts.

Delicious!
