My mom went here just recently to rehab from the hospital, but now she is back in the hospital with covid. Didn't have it when she was sent there. Now her kidneys have failed and her heart is struggling and they gave her covid at the nursing home. I blame the state for allowing exemptions for people who work in the medical industry. They have put my mother's life at risk. I don't believe for one second that all the employees are vaccinated.

Former employee here. I worked here for a year including through the major COVID outbreak last summer and it was the worst year of my life - I’m SO glad I got out when I did. The management team was horrible and constantly berating and disorganized - they were too worried about their dogs they brought to work than the actual patients. The building reeks of urine and the patients are miserable. So many unethical practices, including call bells going unanswered for HOURS because of 1) constantly short staffed and 2) some of the aids are too busy gossiping at the nursing station than actually doing

My father was moved here from the hospital to recover from hip injury. I understand the COVID restrictions to visits, but there should be more care given to helping family connect. I have called numerous times (as have other members of the family) and left messages. No one returns my calls. He has been in Mira Vista for nearly 2 weeks and no report on how he is doing or what his therapy is looking like. There was a case management meeting last week and they never called family to let us know how it went. He has dementia and we feel like he has no voice because they have shut off his connection

Unauthorized physical therapy was given to the patient I was involved with at Mira Vista Care Center,following back surgery. When questioned, some of the staff became rude - mostly to me, her primary caregiver. Thankfully no injury was caused to her.
Another time, a meal was withheld from the patient. Mira Vista claimed they thought the patient was going home. Another problem: the staff are clueless about what is going on. Poor communication.
The patient felt unsafe at night alone in her room at the end of the hall.
I don't recommend you trust Mira Vista with your loved one!
