Kyle Adkins, licensed as a funeral director in Florida, is a native and resident of Folkston, Georgia. Kyle is a 1980 graduate of Georgia Southern College and a 1991 graduate of Gupton-Jones College of Mortuary Science and as a third generation funeral director, he has spent much of his life in funeral service.

Services
Funerals serve an important purpose: they allow us to recognize a life that was lived and acknowledge that the life has come to an end. Funerals exist for the living, for people who have suffered the loss of a loved one. We understand that every family is different and influences such as religious and cultural traditions, cost concerns and personal preferences make each funeral as unique as the person who is being honored.

I would like to thank Kyle Adkins, one of the Oxley-Heard funeral home directors, for the caring and professionalism he showed to my mother, my family and me as we made arrangements for my father's funeral service and burial transit flight to another state. It began when my father was spending his last precious days in the Baptist Community Hospice and Kyle just seemed to know everybody and everyone involved from the hospice chaplain, to the staff at St. Michaels Church, to dealing with the airlines. He was calm, and thorough, and kind and had the answers to all of our questions. I give the highest

The staff at Oxley- Heard were kind and compassionate at my family's time of need. They patiently helped us navigate this difficult process and were a true comfort to us.
