We make it our practice to listen and respond to the specific needs of each family; to be fair and honest in our dealings; to respect and protect the trust placed in our firm; and to focus on ways to maintain a consistent level of achievable excellence in funeral service. If you're seeking burial, cremation or memorial services for a loved one or preplanning such an arrangement for yourself, we invite you to reach us for assistance.

We're here to help. It's hard to know what to say when someone experiences loss. Our free weekly newsletter provides insights, quotes and messages on how to help during the first year.
Services
Coastal Camden Funeral Home was established in 1956 by Elmer Wainwright and was originally located at 580 East King Avenue in Kingsland. The funeral home was known at the time as Wainwright Funeral Home and remained so until Mr. Wainwright's untimely death in 1977. In 2009, a purchase agreement was established between Newbridge Group, which owned the funeral home, and Steven Smith, the managing director of the funeral home at the time.
First, let us offer you our sincere condolences. We are so very sorry you find yourself in these circumstances. We're here to help. Please call us anytime during the day or night at 912-729-5236 and we'll provide immediate assistance to you and your loved one. Our funeral directors are on stand-by for situations such as this, and we'll respond to your needs with urgency and care.
Our funeral home facility is designed to be tasteful, warm and accommodating. The circumstances that bring you here are always going to be emotionally challenging. However, by coming together in a comfortable place where family and friends can openly support each other, we invite the knowledge and acceptance of these circumstances and move toward remembrance and healing.
Obituaries act as quiet reminders of the finite nature of our lives. Yet, for those who have recently experienced the death of a family member or friend, an obituary means so much more. It is a bittersweet reminder of all we've lost, but it can also help us to remember all we enjoyed while they were alive.
Often, words alone cannot express how we feel when we learn that someone has died. Sending flowers can help bridge the gap and let the family know that you're sympathetic to their loss and value their love and friendship. At Coastal Camden, we've been working with local florist for many years, and we encourage you to reach them with your request.

Attended a relatives funeral. There was a nice meeting room for family and friends. Parking was good. Easy to find off of hwy. 40. I would have given 5 stars but there is some slight water damage in the building. Nothing to interfere with your memorial but not something you want to see.

My mom died suddenly in June 2018, and our family was sent into a whirlwind. Mr. Steve and Coastal Camden Funeral Home made a horrible time more bearable by being so kind and so helpful. As a 24 year old trying to figure out arrangements in a very complicated situation, Steve was a lifesaver for me. He answered all of my questions thoroughly, and was such a compassionate and caring resource for us. We would highly recommend this funeral home to anyone needing this type of service.

My husband passed away August 22, 2018 after a extended illness. I called Coastal Camden Funeral Home to purchase a sign in book. We are not from here in St. Marys, I had to arrange a memorial service and grave side service out of town. Mr. Smith talked to me on the phone for over a hour. He helped me so much. He treated me like he had known me forever and he had never met me. He got the obituaries in the newspaper in Chattanooga, TN. , and made some phone calls for me. The kindness he shown me was outstanding. If we had not been transplants here, I definitely would have used his funeral home for

Words cannot express how great the service was that we received. Our first phone call to them was warm, caring and made me feel that everything was taken care of. My Dad passed unexpectedly and we were not from the area so we were overwhelmed to say the least. Steven immediately took care of everything based on the information my brother and I provided. Everything was reasonable and explained simply which is what I needed during this trying time. I know most people do not think about a funeral home until its needed, but I would highly recommend Steven and Kathleen if you and your family find yourself
