My four and 3/4 year old daughter has been coming here for several months and we could not be happier with the experience. Master Acevedo is an exceptional instructor, able to instill discipline, perseverance and build self confidence on my daughter - even at her early age. As others mentioned, he is great with kids, patient yet able to pass down the sense of discipline and respect the sport requires. This past weekend my daughter earned her yellow belt and not only did he do an amazing job successfully encouraging her to break her first board, he took the time for photos at the end. Tae Kwon Do

I originally wrote a review 4 years ago when my then 8yr old son was starting. Here is an update :)
My son is now 12 yrs old - and is a preliminary black belt! He has advanced through basics, to juniors, to black belt club and now masters. Master Acevedo invited him to join the instructor training program last year...and he is loving being able to be an assistant for the younger kids!! Through COVID, Master Acevedo worked many extra hours doing virtual classes, outdoor classes and then limiting the number of kids for in-school instruction to adhere to social distancing.

If you are looking for wonderful TKD classes, look no further. Master Acevedo is AMAZING! He is absolutely wonderful with my 7.5 year old son who attends classes. He has helped my son grow his self confidence and my son loves to attend. He can be shy and nervous in groups but he feels safe and confident in class. I highly recommend Cho’s Legacy, my family wouldn’t want to be anywhere else!

Master Acevedo is a highly skilled TKD teacher but is also kind and supportive. He is excellent with both young kids and teens. He has kindly provided free programs for the girls scouts. Of the three TKD schools that my kids have attended his is the best.

My child was apprehensive about getting started but after the 1:1 trial session, he was so excited to go back. Master Acevedo is a great teacher and really invests in the success of his students. So far we’ve seen more confidence, excitement, and focus since starting. Most of all, it’s great to see my son so happy!
Scheduling classes is easy online. The parents night out was great fun for my son and a very welcome night out for us parents. We will likely take advantage of future programs when offered!

Not only does Master Akil know his stuff, he could not be more welcoming and good with kids, including teenagers. Really gives them a sense of self worth and belonging. My daughter’s only been going for a few months, but it’s already made a big difference in her life. We found Cho’s by chance after seeing the sign (convenient location), but I could not recommend it more highly.

My 7 year old son has been taking Tae Kwon Do at Cho's for about 3 months, and he absolutely loves it. We tried other sports, but he didn't handle it well. This is the first time he enjoys what he is doing, and he looks forward to going there. Master Acevedo is excellent at managing kids, especially ones who can't stop moving and are not the most disciplined (like mine). I highly recommend Cho's for any child.

We love Cho’s Legacy TKD. Our son has been a student at Cho’s for a year and a half. He has made such great progress in the areas of respect, focus, and has learned that he needs to practice to improve. This martial art school is very clean and safe. There are virtual, in Dojang socially distant and outdoor options. It has been a great distraction during these trying times. Master Acevedo is absolutely amazing with the kids and gives each one the attention they deserve. I could not give this place a higher recommendation. It is definitely worth the time and investment.

Cho’s Legacy is an extremely well-run business and Master Acevedo has a special gift for knowing what each child needs to get out their participation in Tae Kwon Do class. He builds their confidence and discipline in addition to their physical abilities. The life lessons that are part of the martial arts training make these classes well worth the money.
