Andrew Shearer works as a property manager and holds a North Carolina Broker's license and has managed properties in Charlotte since 2005.

When re-negotiating a new lease with my tenants, I asked Shearer to increase and collect two month’s security deposit…which is indeed what THEY WROTE into the new lease. When the tenants moved out and I discovered they had destroyed carpets, hardwood floors, walls, etc., I was at least consoled by my belief that I had two month’s deposit (which wouldn’t come close to paying for the damage). Then I saw Shearer’s true colors - as they had never fulfilled their agency responsibilities to collect the full security deposit AND then refused to bear the cost of THEIR

I rented a house for a year and paid on time even early some months despite Covid. I developed a cough and it continued for two months while living there. We discovered mold in the HVAC and they had a crew come in to replace the entire duct system. No mention or apology ever for my health issue and I’m still using an asthma pump because of the experience. Finally, when I moved they still found reasons to keep $820 of my $2500 deposit!

Shearer Realty is unprofessional and unresponsive. I've had two maintenance request in for over 90 days, and they refuse to respond or fulfill the maintance orders. Imagine your closet racks breaking, and all your clothes are laying on the FLOOR for MONTHS, and Shearer won't send anyone out, nor give an explaination. It's completely unprofessional.

I applied for 2335 Madeline Meadows Dr. Charlotte NC and because there was a bathtub question and I didn't get an answer right away so I went ahead and applied so no one else would be considered before me and I sent Doug a text message and asked him if they would not process the application as far as running credit report until my question was answered. He advised me that he would let the owner know. During that time I had run a cmpd.org check under the crime mapping and found out the crime rate is very high. In fact there had been 2 robberies, Larceny, and Auto theft January 30 & 31 of 2021 on

I've rented through Shearer Realty, Inc property management for more than two years. I've only met Aubrey in person, but almost feel as if I've met the entire family. The Shearer family is always professional, but also quite personable. Dave and Andrew run their family owned company as if they are aware of the fact that it is their name on the building, and thus their family legacy they are preserving.
Their employee, Dixie, she has been dipped in 24k gold. I wish I could pick her up, and take her with me through every customer service concern. It is not often in the city of Charlotte that property

I rent one of the properties managed by Shearer Realty. Our air conditioning unit went out yesterday, just in time for “near-record temperatures” of almost 100 degrees today. I completely panicked because my elderly mother is visiting and I have two senior pups in the house. I called Shearer Realty and was able to speak with both Dave and George immediately. At first I was told it would be a WEEK before someone could come out (due to having to go through a home warranty company). From my first contact (as a new resident to NC) the staff was pleasant, informed and helpful. Any "new resident obstacles" were overcome without issue. They even helped me locate a handyman when I needed one. Upon leaving the property they were extra helpful, negotiating a different exit date from the lease. Also secured the loading dock to move out over a holiday weekend. I truly feel they had the owners best interest AND mine at the same time! Tough balancing act. Shearer is a premier company and offers first class treatment.

We've been working with Shearer Realty for around 4 years now. Terrific folks to work with. Dave, George, Betty, Andrew and the whole gang are top notch. Being on the other side of their business as a HVAC vendor, I can say they deeply care about their tenants. They provide great service to them, and expect us to do the same. Dave and his team are great to work with. We have worked with other leasing agents and real estate agents and none compare. They go out of their way to make sure you are taken well care of, respond to emails almost instantly and truly work hard for what is in you, their clients, best interest.
