Was pretty upset that my room wasn't ready until almost 3:30pm even though I called more than once to see if we could get an earlier check in. Also, check in time was supposedly 3:00pm. They said they "upgraded" my room to a beach view but it wasn't an upgrade because I paid for a king size bed and was given a queen. The part the really sealed my frustration was that the front desk called me at 10:42am to see if I had checked out, when checkout time is 11:00am. The room was nice enough and the view was gorgeous. I just wish I had a better experience with getting the room on

It's a very nice hotel, with a short walk to the beach. When I got there the guy in the front office was very wierd he charged me $20 extra (in cash only) for a ocean view room then when I was going to give him the $20 he said "no it's $30" so I was like okay nevermind? And he said "how much money do you have you don't have $30?" Then he said it was okay that I could get the ocean view room for $20 like he originally said. He gave me really wierd vibes but after that encounter he left me alone and the rest of the stay was great!:)

WARNING: our hotel room was filthy and to prove it I got a staph infection on my entire left ear!! I am on antibiotics because of it!!! They are cutting corners big time. In addition we had taken off our sandals and in 15 minutes the bottoms of our feet were black with dirt. Disgusting! I mentioned all this to the owner/manager? And he said it's because of the pandemic! What?? It should be extra clean!!! I really warn against this place unless you don't care about hygiene, disease, bedbugs etc.

We stayed here one night after the Pagent of the Masters show. It is at the end of the free trolley line so we did not have to drive or park. It is only a little more than a mile from the venue. The room was updated and comfortable. The parking is free. There is a comfortable outdoor sitting area to the rear. You cannot see the ocean from here, but just a half block away you can take the path down. There is a quick shop, burger place and Chinese restaurant nearby. It is a mile from the main crowded areas. I would stay here again.

The room was clean but we could not get the WiFi to work even though we asked the manager for help. Our coffee maker also did not work. We called and asked the manager for a new one, he said he would take care of it but he did nothing. We were very disappointed because this was not a budget hotel and we were so looking forward to this getaway

Comfy clean well-appointed rooms. Kind and accommodating staff. In the quieter north end of town but a pleasant 10-15 minute stroll to the hustle and bustle of Main Beach. There’s a beach pathway that’ll get you to the lovely little Crescent Bay beach in two minutes. All in all, a great place to hang your hat in Laguna.

This place was an unexpected jewel. Sal, the manager had a lot to do with that, as did the cleanliness and comfort of the room. Close to a zillion eateries , steps from the ocean , fresh ocean breezes. I keep going back to Sal though, his sweet wife Heena- these are the kind of people that make you remember a place vividly. Kindness and warmth,, a true desire to see you enjoy your stay. This will be locked in our memories as one of the best getaway's. Thanks Sal- see you again soon !

This Inn has such potential to be better. First the high notes
The owner or manager is kind and warm.
The location is perfect. The beach is literally steps away
The price. For 2 nights it was a little over $400. Not bad
The bed was comfortable
The LOW POINTS: The rooms need updating. There are cracks/ holes in the walls. Red scuff marks that look horrible.( i thought it was blood)
For a King Bed I had 2 regular size extremely soft pillows.
No screens on windows. Had my window open and Of course little flying bugs were in the room
The TV... could not get regular channels. Had 2 remote controls

Check in is always at 3:00 at most of these places. My girlfriend, who made this reservation days ago, and I arrived at 4:00 and our room wasn't ready. They weren't even in the process of cleaning it and didn't bother doing so until after we arrived. It's now 5:10, and I'm sitting here with my girlfriend in my car waiting for them to text us to let us know it's ready.
Not coming back.

The best way to explain this hotel is benign neglect. It appears that somebody bought this place several years back, did the renovations and now are trying to squeeze out of it every dollar they can.
Much of the furniture is chipped, shower doors out of alignment, paint abraided, even the mirror lights misaligned. The TV kept dropping signal. The stairs to the second floor look like they were painted at the same time the rest of the hotel was renovated.
Staff? OK. Actually one employee was terrific. Breakfast? A joke. At least they had Keurig coffee makers in the rooms.

My review was removed! It seems that it was appreciated. Reason: I have not been there apparently and I was reviewing another Crescent Bay Inn in Laguna!! Well I was there for sure and the bedbugs were for really we were infected by them for over a week although we left 2 hours after check in when we discovered them crawling all over our beds!
Instead of removing the review you probably need to check how many clients faced this horrible situation.

Charming! We loved our overnight stay at this small local hotel. Our room was clean with all expected amenities (coffee maker, refrigerator, safe) I can't say enough wonderful things about the hotel staff. Friendly and work hard to accommodate their customers. A short walk down stairs and a path to this beautiful beach awaits!

I honestly cannot think of a better place to stay if you are in Laguna. It's an OG style motel. No real frills, but not bad at all. You can tell that they have done some remodeling and the room was clean, spartan but clean. What more do you need or want? A/C, a comfy bed and mini-fridge.
The location of this place is everything. It's proximity to one of the most beautiful beaches in California....the motel is just up the street, you can even take a little trail to the beach. Unfortunately only two stars for Crescent Bay. The check-in area is very odd. The floors were filthy and they pretty much have a table with a rolling chair as their check-in area. The young man checking us in was courteous. The parking could really tear up your car too due to the small spaces as you try to park between the carport beams.
Let's get to the room. It was the size of a breadbox and not very clean. I saw a bunch of dirt under the sink area. The comforter was questionable, but the bed was decent to sleep in. What really disturbed me was the refrigerator and microwave in
