Well we came here for our New Year's Eve and New Year's Day weekend getaway. The staff was super nice once you check in and the prices were definitely reasonable. Especially for the holidays we think we got ourselves a good deal. The room was cozy as we chose a king bed with a fireplace. Only wish the fireplace wasn't so far away from the bed and tv as well lol. You'd think they'd be closer but no they were pretty far.
We had a nice little balcony to enjoy the sunshine on New Year's Day with a cup of coffee at least.
We will definitely be back for sure especially

We really enjoyed our new Monterey destination. Top quality and service at affordable price. It has all the added amenities to make it a perfect stay.; comfortable beds (pillows, too), fireplace, outside fireside seating, heated pool & exceptionally nice hot tub, rental bikes, short walk to nice neighborhood dining & shopping. They even greeted us with a bottle of wine and chocolate for our anniversary stay.

My fiancé (now husband ) and I were looking last minute for hotels to spend our spontaneous intimate marriage ceremony at . We found this place and were very happy with the price , location , and over all experience of the hotel . We brought a 20-25 ft. Moving truck which was so easy to park and find a space (as long as you find one earlier than 5pm) . We tired to book a room with a queen bed , just something simple .
Karen, absolutely changed our experience with her kindness . She upgraded us to a beautiful room with a fireplace that included personalized small gifts for our celebration .

- Fireplace in the room! (perfect for us as temps were starting to drop)

Has strong ratings but was only a 3+. Room was redone and clean but a/c did t work and room was hot. Had other reviews mentioning this. No breakfast available- just cold coffee - by 8 was cold. Not worth nearly $360 for Saturday night when 4-5 star hotels are only $80 more with amenities.. very disappointed- had to choose between this and a few others with similar ratings.. disappointing

I was looking for a reasonably priced hotel that was clean, comfortable, and had an up to date/modern appearance. Hotel Abrego met my expectations as the bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean and smelled freshly laundered. The bathroom was also clean and overall the room decor was modern. Upon check in, the front desk staff member was friendly and took the time to explain some basics and answer any questions.
The only negatives I noticed were some fingerprints on the windows, cosmetic damage to the headboard, and the room upstairs had a squeaky floor and bed. However this would not stop

We chose this hotel due to the reviews and also because it was my birthday it was a nice location when I got to the hotel the night of my birthday we had no AC no towels we had to call the room service about four or five times they were missing items in the room the room is not clean when I call room service they advise all the rooms were the same they were not the same the front desk Coordinator advised he was upgrading the room Not really sure what he upgraded the room to because I got exactly what I saw online what I paid for so we paid $400 for one night almost $300 for the next . We stayed here for almost full month until our new house was ready for move in. We have three little kids and I can't express enough how kind and helpful the manager and staff were for the whole time we were there.
Now that we are local we drive by this hotel now and then and our kids always are happy to pass by this place from good memories they had there. Highly recommend this hotel!

What quiet, clean and nice place this turned out to be. I visited in Sept and found the covid protocols all in place - what a peace of mind. Walking distance to Trader Joe's, great restaurants and a nice, healthy 30 min walk to Del monte beach.
Keep in mind:
- the hotel is not offering housekeeping unless you request it
- if you don't like something or find an issue with the room, call the front desk. the ladies are so courteous they will get it right.

I would say overall this is a good MOTEL. Parking is VERY tight so if you have a big car it may be harder to get in and out of your spot when it’s a busier time of year. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable! The fireplace in our room was a nice touch and acted as a good heater for us. Overall, I would stay again.

The room was very clean and comfortable. The fireplace was a nice feature. I also appreciated how they can lend a microwave per request. The walls are thin and I could easily hear outside noise or people in adjacent rooms, but the night was mostly quiet. I could hear seagulls, which was actually enjoyable. The customer service was very nice and helpful.

Okay so I'm writing this on our first night here, so far we are very pleased. Me and my girlfriend usually stay at a more expensive hotel so I kept comparing this one to that but that's unfair because of the price point. We paid $394 for two nights in the premier king room with a fire place. Overall I'd give this place an 7.5/10. Very good place for the price, below I will list the pros and cons.

We didn't get a chance to stay here because our dog had an emergency medical issue and we had to rush home to Orange County and cancel our reservation but Jennifer who answered the phone was very nice and understanding of our situation which I really appreciate. I am pregnant and we were trying to do a babymoon and wish we were able to stay here but will definitely book in the future again due to their great customer service.

My first time and absolutely loved it. Easy to find. Lots of parking. Clean. Front desk lady that checked us in was awesome... greeted with a smile, acknowledged me right away, no wait, fast and she even upgraded our room!!! Room was nice and roomy and easy to find. Hotel is in a good location near shops and restaurants. Overall I really liked this hotel and will definitely come back!!

Nice little hotel in Monterey.
Rooms are large, many with fireplace and balcony. Ample parking., which is always a plus. Bed is very comfortable and cozy.
Location, location, location! Perfectly placed a very short distance from old fisherman's wharf. Nice strip mall across the street with Mountain Mikes pizza, a place for Thai and Wild Plum Cafe (which is awesome).
Bathroom is large and shower feels luxurious. I like that they moved the sink outside of commode and shower so getting ready could happen simultaneously.
Rooms have a small frig and plugs galore so lots of opportunities

Not a bad hotel to stay out for a night or two but won't be coming again. I was a bit disappointed with my deluxe room that I was given. Some of the pictures I saw on yelp looked very nice compared to what I got. I even paid additional for a nicer room but was given a mediocre small room with no fireplace. That just tells you that even when you pay extra for a nice room they still end up giving you a dump of a room. I did not like the big windows in the bedroom because when you open it up anyone can literally see you and what you're doing when they walk pass your room. Also, the the strong

One of my favorite hotels to stay in Monterey. My boyfriend and I come to Monterey once a year for a pool convention and this is our go to hotel.
It's such a clean and modern hotel. We love the fireplace, it makes our experience so cozy and romantic. I didn't take a picture of the shower but it was awesome! One of those large walk ins with big see thru, glass like doors (bad description but I hope you know what I'm talking about)
