Choose somewhere else to live if you can.

The soundproofing is terrible. If you have a city view and they play music in the park or in Marriot, you are doomed. If you are facing the garage, you hear the trash truck beeping and dumpsters clanging every morning.

You can never get your packages when you want them. If you want to get your packages from the front desk around 6/7pm and they will tell you to come back at 9pm. You come back at 9pm they will want you to wait another hour. You feel bad because it seems like they are understaffed but you're annoyed because you have to constantly

Pros: location, decently modern fixtures, 24/7 security
Cons: extremely small apartments, cheap appliances/cabinetry/etc that will break regularly, difficult to get packages from front desk, very noisy both inside the apartments (many loud college kids especially on the weekends) and with nearby events (ex: Marriott Hotel), terrible management (except for Monica - she's great), spotty wifi within apartment

Pros: Clean, new building, utilities included, comes with microwave, TV & cable in every apartment & every floor (even in front of the elevators!!). Having a rooftop terrace is a relief. Good security & packages are dropped off at the front desk so no one is allowed near apartments. Monica in the front office is very sweet & helpful. Proximity to JHU is a big plus. Also, it consists of young, professional residents who are either studying/working at Johns Hopkins and so feels safe overall.

Cons: The rooms are small, walls are thin, lighting is terrible and you will be spending

New leasing manager and staff are very responsive and nice. Amenities are great but could be better of course. Wish they have a bigger study hall, maybe a pool??, equipment in the gym are good but sometimes there is only one working treadmill but i feel like this is all changing hopefully. Pleasant, convenient, and safe place to stay super close to JHH. I like that rooms come furnished.

LOL, @Zohaib, you weren’t even hired as a physician at Hopkins. Anyhow, you’re clearly making a lot of assumptions when some people here (including myself) have had an overall unpleasant experience living at 929. It’s great that you had a good time living there, but you should also realize that there are other realities besides yours, and show a little empathy towards people that have a different opinion. The fact that some reviews weren’t justified for you, doesn’t mean that they weren’t for them. People don’t have the need to explain their bad experiences if they simply don’t

1. DO NOT MOVE HERE!! Huge noise from Marriott hotel party occurs every weekend and some weekdays until midnight. Party music/screaming noise are extremely loud. My roommates and I had to wear noise blocking ear muffs and even that can’t help reducing the noise, so you’ll experience difficulty studying/sleeping.
2. It’s been hard to get packages from people at front desk. When you ask them in the morning, they’ll tell you to come back later as they’re busy handling new packages. When you want to get it after you’re back from school at night, they’ll take a break so it’s unable

After looking at the comments from other people, I don’t know where to begin. As a resident, I feel to leave my experience, and not to be whiny, "because my package failed to deliver and i am entitled to everything."
Interestingly, the comments are at either extreme. 1 or 5 stars.
Seems one is likely to leave a negative review than vast majority who had a positive experience. This is not a regular apartment building and likely some failed to understand what it provides. It is designed for students and young professionals who wants a safe place next to JHU medical campus, and can move-in without

During the last half year, the apartments have continuously suffered hot water outage or even water outage without notification and/or with extended repair time. Also, the complimentary wifi is very unstable and may even be dramatically different between living room and bedroom. The basic utilities offered inevitably become worn and torn. The package system needs to be streamlined both in the staff management and online system. ... (Sorry I forgot to mention the gym equipment very often dies for a long time...)
I just want to report the real facts for the community. Forgive me only mention the

I've been living in 4 bed 2 bath apartment for past 1.5 years, and do plan to continue for next year. I am a PhD student at nearby JHU medical campus and I believe it is THE SAFEST, most convenient and best value for money option in the area for students/post docs/residents who work at JHU/JHH.

The proximity to JHU/JHH is convenient, and the whole way to the apartments is patrolled and well-litten. There is 24h desk reception and mail service (with easy package drop off to be sent out too), so your amazon delivers will not be dropped in front of row house doors and possibly lost. I have

Wow, a surprising horrible (and only by Jan 7, 2020) yelp review here about the building that I live in. I feel something written to that extremely definitely seems to have issues that are less likely to do with the building. :)

I have lived here as a student and physician for JHU, and one must understand what it provides. It is designed for students and young professionals who want a safe place next to JHU medical campus and can move in without an issue. It's minimalism with comforts that are well maintained by friendly understaffed management.

In summary, 929 place is comfortable to live

Decent building in close proximity to Johns Hopkins Hospital. I have been a long term resident (4+ years) and have been appalled by poor, inconsiderate management in the past several years. Absolutely would NOT recommend to incoming students at the School of Medicine, Public Health, or Nursing. I would recommend Jefferson Square instead, where management may have the slightest bit of reason. They have changed terms without notifying existing residents, making keeping a pet (which I have paid a monthly fee for) extremely unsafe.

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT live here! One of the WORST housing experiences i've ever had. I have been inspired to go into real estate because I want people to never go through the hell I did here. The apartments look nothing like the pictures, and when we moved in the apartment still had food and was not clean at all. It was a disaster. The leasing office is rude and is usually not helpful for any issues. Good luck getting ahold of maintenance too, they're not responsive so whatever breaks (which is usually everything because the furniture is such poor quality) might as well get used

929 apartments are very nice, convenient and reasonably priced. The staff members are very courteous and really work hard to ensure they fulfill their resident’s needs. This is my 2nd year at 929 and so far have been really impressed with the whole apartment, its proximity to Johns Hopkins Institutions and other nearby attractions. They have a well-equipped gym, reading rooms and many other amenities, not forgetting the amazing terrace that offer panoramic view of the city. I will definitely be looking forward to renew my lease and extend my stay at this superb apartment.

I haven't lived here and already feel the need to write a review. In my life never have I written a review. I talked to TWO different people over the phone before and was told by both that if I did apply there would be an apartment waiting for me as soon as classes started, for me and for my dog. Applying was easy but I did not receive a call regarding the status of my application. I called 3 days later and my application was processed in less than 2 hours. I then waited for a call that never came for a whole week regarding whether or not there would be a room available for me. My original application
