The lobby and main floor are impressive - done up in marble. Rooms seem renovated but certain parts leave some to be desired. The rooms were decorated in a modern fashion. But the desk/table in our room looked weathered and worn (not in a decorative way). It just looked like it had seen better days. Minimal bedding -which is how the hotels all seem to be these days, but there was clearly a stain (looked like dried bodily fluid) on the over blanket. Bedside tables had ring stains and spots that just showed that they weren't fully cleaned before we got there. Made you skeptical how clean

Went for a wedding during Cov so times are definitely different and it was a quick stay. All in all Great accommodations. Kind pleasant staff. Only negative could be parking. I was there in winter so not an issue with street parking, however I could imagine summertime parking to be a hassle. Overall good experience.

Stayed over Christmas and it was sad. Two Christmas stocking decorations and a sad tree. That was it. Dull, dreary place that definitely needs an upgrade. The pictures on their site are very deceiving. Parking in their lot was additional cost and the other option would is street parking which you also have to pay for. The clock had the wrong time and the alarm went off around 3:00 AM. Constant sounds of doors slamming all through the night. Only saw one person who was staying their during our stay. If you like the movie The Shining, this place is for you.

I left a brand new dress in the closet. I called 3 hours after checking out and realizing it. No one wanted to check with housekeeping or get up and go check the room for me. After all, it was only 2pm at that time and check-in isn't until 4pm. I know that someone took that dress home. No one returned any calls. Spoke to them 4 times about the situation. NO ONE CARED. They said anybody could say the left a dress there. They aren't responsible, what a joke. In my eyes not a trustworthy place to stay...... Filled out a survey the sent via email and told them if someone didn't respond I was going

Is an OK property. The location is great but other than that, eh. The beds are very firm, so if you like that then it's a + , if not a -. Because if the age of the hotel, is you are over 5"10, expect to duck in the showers to get your head wet. As a wedding venue it was pretty. Very late check in time so you have to get ready somewhere else if the wedding is here.

Location is great, but rooms are pretty run-down and dingy feeling. Most offensively, when we arrived on a cold fall day, our room was 62 degrees. We tried turning the heat on, but it just made it colder. When they finally sent an engineer up he said the hotel hasn’t yet turned the heat on so when you try to use it, it just makes it colder. Ultimately, he had to bring a portable heater to our room.
Front desk staff was good, not great. Overall, this place needs an update to bring it up to normal standards and to justify room rates. Probably would t stay here again unless in a pinch.

Stayed here 2x, once over the past two summers. Can get pricey but there's good deals if you book midweek and/or last minute.
I enjoyed the pool vibe and food/drink service. Can get crowded with kids at times but it's not an adults only resort so you can expect that. But it's a nice break from the beach for lunch and/or a cocktail.
Rooms vary; don't expect the Four Seasons here. Service is really hit or miss (more miss) - but if you can handle going to the front desk to get extra towels or toiletries instead of waiting 2+ hours for someone from housekeeping to show up, then

Location was great. Room was okay, not worth the price, I paid over $450 for the night. No coffee, microwave in room, the light in bathroom dull and did not work. Pool great! Drinks and food and entertainment wonderful in the inside places. Best for weddings and events, nice and large well lite event places.

Andy one of the managers was amazing and very accommodating to me and my families needs. Our rooms were very big and clean. I’m honestly surprised at the negatives reviews, lots of people who must not know this hotel is extremely understaffed, (just like a lot of other businesses and hotels) but they will do their best to accommodate you. The prices are high because of the area and location. The pool was also very clean and the staff was awesome. Thank you Andy!

I really liked it here. The location is great...1 block from the beach and maybe 2 from good restaurants and the Stone Pony. The room I had was huge with 2 double beds. Literally all the staff, especially the manager, was just so nice. And not phony nice, like genuinely nice. Even the lady who runs the gift shop was sweet and they had adorable jewelry. It's an old building which is awesome but there are some drawbacks to that like a small number of electrical outlets in the room. The decor in the lobby is really cool. You have to ask for a fridge and they are limited but a cooler solved that problem

A really nice hotel that provides everything you need for a great stay. The rooms are clean and surprisingly spacious. High ceilings and tall windows which, depending on your room location, overlook the ocean. The staff is very friendly and provide great service as soon as you pull up. Valet will help with your car and immediately get a luggage cart and bring your stuff up to your room. Downstairs they have a small shop open during the day that has all your essentials. There’s also a great little cafe for coffee in the morning or single serve pizzas for a bite after the beach. Also attached to

For the price, you are much better off staying elsewhere. The room was musty and not very clean. Front desk staff was not very friendly or informative. No one told us we needed to use a key card to power the thermostat and even then, we needed maintenance to fix it. As our first time staying in Asbury, it would have been nice if staff informed us about the parking app. I guess they want you to pay the much higher price to have your car valet parked. Barely any towels in the room, had to call for more. Bathroom had no ventilation and was basically a steam room when showering. Elevators were weird

I really wanted this to be a different experience than I heard or read about. The pool - pool area is ok, nothing great, but a sufficient area to stay cool in.
The lobby is meh - interesting design choices, but nothing too scary.
The check in process - could have easily gone bad. The check in staff was not in a mood, but we quickly saw that and diffused the situation by being overly kind to her. It could have easily gone south if we didn't.
The room - we were pleased with the size, but the carpet was soaking wet and reeked of mildew. We called the front desk to complain and asked for

Horrible! We wanted to settle into our luxury ocean front room to watch some baseball game showing on a major network. Our TV did not receive the station. We called down and they sent up a tech guy. He came back with a key to a new room. The new room's TV didn't turn on and the fridge caught on the rug and wouldn't open...and, it was a smaller, non ocean front room. So, they moved us to a third room. No signal on the TV, smaller room (like a closet) and no view. So, we returned to the original room and missed the game. Our room was big - with a sitting room. It has doors to 2 adjoining

I'm reviewing because I paid for my son's room. This hotel is beautiful , this is why they choose it. They were having their Wedding in Asbury. Although their wedding was not there , they were able to take beautiful pictures.
But that IS where the good part ends . I dropped off welcome bags for the 5 guest that we're staying there. Only 3 received them . One friend had to pressure the front desk to look for them.
The check in staff , was maybe over worked and not appreciated , but definitely not happy to be there. Not even Hospitality 101!!!
So many little issues . To start

Please do not let the bad reviews discourage you. This hotel was built in the early twenty's so do not expect a "modern hotel". Yes, the elevator is a bit delayed but it's not out of inconvenience it's just a older building. I don't know what the others rooms look like but our room was perfect. The windows are big and bring in tons of natural light. You must keep in mind that you are at a beach front hotel so you have to keep the air on to alleviate the humidity that comes into the room. If you get a chance, explore the hotel. It has dozens of banquet rooms that hold

What a fun spot for the summer. I saw so many reviews that were negative, so I was worried. The elevators had their moments but they just were slow. Nothing crazy. The pool was amazing, the staff members were all wonderful and accommodating. With a newly renovated downstairs and 2 new restaurants, I have no doubt they will be successful. Plus it's an easy walk to most restaurants in Asbury. Will be back again!

The stars are mostly for the location and for the concierge desk folk who are trying their best with what they have. Old, tired, worn out, with feeble attempts at sprucing the place up on a par with lipstick on a pig. The rooms are big but the bathrooms uncomfortably small. The elevator - like the wifi - is spotty and temperamental. There are better places to stay in AP

Do not stay at this hotel even if you are desperate. Elevators barely worked .
Room on top floor would not cool - spoke with front desk 3 times, said they would fix 3 times but maintenance never showed up. Got home and was over charged $150.00. Just a total shitshow. Our friends had to change rooms twice due to dirty rooms.
Slept with the window open with the ice bucket holding it open ... just a SHITSHOW

First off, SHAME ON ME! I should have done my Yelp research. Listed with the local Chamber of Commerce and close to the beach, Berkeley seemed like a good fit, but was hands down my worst hotel experience ever. Not worth the money, the stress nor the rudeness.
Upon arrival, there was a loud argument between guests and management in the lobby. It continued as we waited and management just continued to push back against guests who were claiming to have been denied service. Our room was not ready so we did the paperwork and planned to return. On our return, we were directed to the $45/day
