Be careful when you apply… the website is designed to get you to pay over $300 just to tell you there is another $299 holding fee/deposit on the second screen. The first screen should be very upfront and warn you that “if you are pre-approved you will be required to pay another $299.” Their application process is very tactical and makes you feel like your backed into a corner since they wont refund you the money. If they would have said on the first screen to be expected to pay another 300, we wouldn't have paid the first 300 to begin with.

Schemers, and Scammers. Application fee and admin fee amount to $309. Then to hold the apartment they want another $299. The application does not clearly state that it will be nearly $600 up front. They try to smooth it over by saying part of the money goes towards the security deposit. Yeah, not today. Do not enter any card information to avoid the hassle my partner and I are currently experiencing. I urge you to read the YELP.com Reviews.

I was an exemplary tenant. Never late on my rent, clean, no problems at all. I lived there for a year.
Would absolutely, strongly suggest NOT leasing at this complex. The office staff is RUDE, CONDENSCENDING AND ARROGANT. Will treat you as though you are beneath them. As though they are doing you a favor by letting you live there. I believe they forgot who pays their salary.
They will be kind until you sign the lease agreement, then once you have signed, they treat you like you are dirt.
Highly recommend the Century Avenue Apartments on the south side of Lakeland. The staff is friendly

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. They are very selective towards who they decide to treat fairly with concern and respect. I cannot say they treat all of their tenants horribly however I can see we were not treated fairly at all. LISA was very RUDE, SARCASTIC and CONDESCENDING towards me majority of the times we spoke.Not to mention there are bugs everywhere(not inside of the units) Any time we would have guests they were cross examined on who they were, and for what reason they were in the community. Somehow they just know when “certain” people live in a community full of hundreds of tenants smh. The

Great leasing experience. The staff is very efficient and effective, but above all, they are polite. Maintenance team is also super nice and helpful. The property itself is gorgeous and very clean. I've been living here for almost a year and have absolutely no complaints, other than the rent going up like crazy, but I prefer to pay more for a place that is worth it. (Also, if you don't like bugs and frogs like me, stay inside at night! The apartments are right next to the lake, so there's not much the staff can do about that...I just stay inside). I hope that as the years go by The Shore remains

Just moved in this past Saturday, I had an appointment for 1130, and Lisa was able to accomodate me prior to, and get my paperwork signed and keys in hand so I could allow my movers access. The apartment is so clean, and open and the whole community feels like a breath of fresh air. Very excited to call The Shore home.
