I hired JW Home Inspection Services to inspect a condo for purchase. This company missed obvious signs of a wood destroying insect, Powderpost Beetles in this case. They have destroyed large amounts of the basement ceiling wood, inside of kitchen & bathroom cabinets, parts of the basement steps and have made my life hell. The pest control/exterminators confirmed the beetles have been here quite some time and have been eating very well. They seem to be finally taken care of but I still have a lot of repair & replacement work ahead. I can not even describe how disappointed I am with this company

We couldn’t have had a better experience! George went above and beyond. He even gave us extra tips on random things around the house! During the inspection the owner of the company stopped by too which was so awesome to see how much pride they take in their company. Highly recommend!

This company provided professional and personal service. Their representative was polite and willing to answer all of our questions. He even went out of his way to help reattach a furnace drain that could have caused significant damage if unattended. Overall, I was very impressed with this company. I would highly recommend them!

JW were great, inspecting a property in Grand Rapids. Called the office conversation was very nice, added pest and Radon gas inspections. George was very responsive and provided good answers.
Report was less verbal than I'm used to and is using a lot more pictures than I used to but that was pretty good. pictures worth a 1000 words.
They did made a mistake and billed me twice (which I honestly believe was a mistake) and reverted the payment right away.

I was a first time home buyer and very nervous about making a potential mistake. After talking with my inspector, Sean, I decided to get the sewer scope. Based on what was found the seller replaced the sewer line for me before I bought the house! The report for my inspection was easy to understand, provided almost immediately, extremely thorough, and made me feel confident that I knew the true condition of the house. Honest, helpful, and knowledgeable!

George did our inspection for us and he was extremely thorough! He walked level by level with us explaining everything he was looking at and asked if we had any questions or concerns before moving on to the next floor. Any questions we had he answered them with great knowledge and explained things in a way that was easy to understand. George took his time and made sure we were comfortable with everything. He even found a potential issue that we were told other inspectors did not see, which could be saving us thousands. We highly recommend using JW Home Inspection Services.

Our Home Inspector was very thoughtful and thorough on all aspects of her inspection. She was very knowledgeable on what could be done and what to look out for on our 121y old home. Any area of concern was brought up immediately and she was very helpful on letting us know what we could do ourselves or what needed to be done by a professional.

I recently had a home inspection done by Tish Evans. I wanted to give a shout out to Tish. She did our inspection on the home I am hoping to purchase. She was AWESOME! She was confident and not cocky. She set the bar pretty high for a home inspection. She was very funny as the inspection process is a pretty dull matter. I've worked with JW Inspections twice now and both times have been phenomenal. Bobbie is excellent to work with and is your first point of contact when you are looking to schedule an inspection. She is very kind and does everything to make sure your needs and concerns are met. The inspectors themselves do great work and send you the report the same day they do the inspection. Both times I've worked with JW they were able to do my home inspection the next business day that I called!
