Todd and his wife Lynda are the parents of 3 adult sons. They have lived in the West Michigan area their entire lives. They enjoy travel and time spent outdoors. A licensed builder since 1993, Todd has 18 years of residential and commercial construction experience. After completing the ASHI @ Home Study Course and passing the National Home Inspectors Exam, he founded Alert Inspection Services, LLC in 2001.

Great company altogether. Responsive, personable, and intelligent. I asked several questions, and he (Todd) always had an answer. I was told of a few issues with the house I bought, but also informed of how to fix them myself. He referred companies for me to work with if I couldn't fix them. If I buy again anytime soon, I'll be using Alert.

Don't use this company. They missed major issues with my home and downplayed the ones they pointed out. The owner even offered a $200 check if I signed a paper saying I wouldn't go after him for the huge hole that was missed in my roof along with the other leak they missed. Now I need to replace my roof along with a bunch of other things after just buying my house...

I had a great experience working with the team. I am looking for my frist home and it is an overwhelming experience, but I can be sure that the home inspection will be accurate, comprehensive and truthful. I wish I could give Alert Inspection Services 6 stars! I originally called for a quote and that same day someone drove by the site I needed inspected and got back to me with a figure. On the day of, Todd promptly met me for the inspection, took his time with the building, and then spent time going over each picture he took. He reported his findings regarding the building in a clear, thorough, and accessible fashion and let me know exactly what the format of the final report would be, what verbage it would contain, and when to expect it. My whole experience with Alert was professional and perfect

I have used Todd 3 times. Twice for commercial building inspections and once for a new construction home inspection. Todd is very thorough, does not hard sell you on anything, but still presents options. He explains everything thoroughly, provides an excellent report with photos and is also happy to give advice and answer questions. Todd at Alert Inspections is a stand up guy and I can't recommend him enough!
