Services
The therapist will discuss your medical history, pain, goals in physical therapy & any medications taken. Touching around the area of the pain/problem. This is done to check for the presence of tenderness, swelling, soft tissue integrity, tissue temperature, inflammation, etc. The therapist will move the joint(s) to check for the quality of movement and any restrictions.

My mother has been going to P.T. for the last few weeks and likes the staff. They are professional, courteous and friendly. The therapist who worked with my mother striked up a conversation about the Florida Keys and my mother used to live in Marathon, well that brought back so many memories for her! She had a big smile on her face when she left there!

I was referred for physical therapy by my primary care doctor in February and chose Physical Therapy Specialists based on reviews. I had been experiencing significant sciatic pain most of the time - that is, unable to sleep most nights due to pain and in some kind of pain pretty much 24/7. During my assessment with Mike at Physical Therapy Specialists/Michigan Street , I was told that it's not uncommon and they could help. Everyone here is amazing! Each therapist really takes the time to note the changes your body goes through as you are progressing through the treatment of your injury. They have pushed me very hard in each therapy session. I highly recommend them.I have been fortunate enough to work with Mike and Dylan. Each of them is great and has made me feel more confident with getting my body back to feeling like new.

The congenial and professional atmosphere is evident as soon as you walk in the clinic door. The front desk staff are consistently friendly and professional. The clinic operates efficiently; I have never waited more than a few minutes to be escorted into the back area. The rehabilitation area is well-equipped and impeccably clean and organized. Cleaning and sanitizing the tables and equipment is done before and after each patient. All of the staff members appear knowledgeable and totally focused on their clients.
